## What is Sisyphus?

Some apps let you block websites. Sisyphus makes sure you stay blocked

Sisyphus uses Apple’s Screen Time framework to create system-level website blocks that are much harder to bypass. With your accountability partner holding the Screen Time passcode, changing your blocking rules isn’t just one tap away.

New distracting website? Add it instantly. Keep your block list updated as new distractions appear.
Block Any Website, Permanently Paste a URL and lock it out of your device immediately. Blocked sites are enforced at the system level using Apple's Screen Time API, so there's no app-switching trick to undo it. Once blocked, the site is gone until you decide to let it back.

Password-Protected Blocks Every block is secured by a custom unlock password that you set — separate from your device passcode and Face ID. Removing a site from your blocklist isn't a tap away. It's a deliberate choice you have to actively unlock.

24-Hour Password Reset Delay Forgot your unlock password on purpose? Sisyphus doesn't let you off that easy. Resetting it triggers a mandatory 24-hour waiting period, so impulsive override attempts are built into the system as friction, not a loophole.

Anti-Reinstall Protection The 24-hour countdown syncs to the cloud. If you delete the app to try to escape your blocks, the clock keeps running in your account — and picks up right where it left off when you reinstall. There's no escape hatch.

Private by Design Your blocked domains are encrypted locally on your device using AES-GCM encryption before ever reaching the cloud. Even if the database were somehow compromised, your specific blocked sites would be unreadable. Sign in with Apple, Google, or email — your data stays yours.

Safari Share Extension Browse to any site you want to block and share it to Sisyphus directly from Safari. No copying and pasting URLs. One tap and it's blocked.

Cross-Device Sync Sign in with your account and your entire blocklist syncs across all your devices. Your discipline travels with you.
