## What is Sit To Stand?

Sit to Stand App is the first scientifically validated application for the biomechanics evaluation of the chair rising test based on high-speed video recording (240 frames-per-second).

Sit to Stand App quickly and easily reports values of time, velocity, and muscle power of the sit-to-stand test. These variables are of great interest in the scientific and clinical fields for the early detection of functional changes associated with the aging process, as well as determining functional capacity in different populations.

Sit to Stand App has passed several scientific validation processes. Their results have been shown to be equally valid as those reported by high-cost laboratory devices such as force plates or 3D video capture systems.

Studies have shown how the results of the Sit to Stand App are related to frailty syndrome and determinants of sarcopenia in older adults. These findings make the Sit to Stand App a considerably useful pocket tool within the clinical setting.
