## What is SitFocus?

SitFocus is a Pomodoro focus timer with a built-in posture coach. While you work, your camera quietly checks whether you're slouching — and nudges you before your back complains.

**Private by design**
- All posture detection runs on your device using Apple's Vision framework
- Camera frames are analyzed in memory and instantly discarded — never recorded, never stored, never uploaded
- No video, no photos, no biometric data ever leaves your device
- Only your anonymous posture score (a percentage) is saved to your account

**A coach, not an alarm**
- Bad posture tints your timer ring the moment it's detected
- Only after a few seconds of actually staying slouched do you get a sound and a reminder — leaning over to reach for your coffee never sets it off
- Set the warning interval yourself, or turn the sound and notification off entirely for visual-only coaching
- Calibrate once — 10 seconds of sitting well — and alerts adapt to *your* body, desk, and camera angle

**Posture monitoring, rebuilt.**
SitFocus now reads your posture from your face instead of your torso, so it works at a normal desk distance with no setup at all. It learns where you normally sit within a few seconds, remembers it between launches, and keeps track of each head direction separately — so glancing at a second monitor no longer reads as slouching.
**New**
• Posture sensitivity — Gentle, Balanced or Strict. If alerts feel too eager or too easy-going, that's now yours to change.
• Optional 10-second calibration: sit well once, and thresholds fit your body, desk and camera angle.
• A posture score for every session, a 30-day trend in Statistics, and a shareable card of your week.
• Kinder alerts. The ring tints the moment you slouch; only a few seconds of staying that way earns a sound or a notification. Choose your own warning interval — or set it to 0 and keep the coaching visual-only.
• Auto-pause when you leave your desk, resuming when you sit back down.
• Break prompts that actually get you up, with rotating neck, shoulder and eye exercises.
• A menu bar timer on Mac: countdown plus a posture dot, with pause, reset and skip-break. Close the window and keep working.
• Due dates for tasks, with reminders 24 hours and 1 hour ahead, and chips that turn orange, then red, as the deadline nears.
• Move back and forward through days, weeks, months and years in your task list.
• Posture monitoring can be switched on during onboarding, right after the privacy promise. It used to ship off, which made your first session a plain timer.

• "You seem to be away" while you were sitting right there.
• "Don't lean forward" when you were only looking at a second monitor.
• "You are sitting straight" when your posture couldn't actually be measured.
• Posture notifications never arriving on Mac.
• Settings — sounds, notifications and the warning interval — not saving.
• A deleted session preset coming back.
• The task list squeezed into a narrow column on iPad.
• A crash during sessions, a drifting timer, and a countdown that was hard to read.
• Faster statistics, lighter memory use and a smoother camera preview.
Everything still happens on your device. No video, no photos, nothing uploaded.
