### 4/5 — Frustrating fun

*2023-11-27*

It seems it’s an end game with almost zero chance to succeed due to fact you represent cults destined to be subsumed. So enjoy the ride, it is fun, but this is not a game about winning

### 5/5 — Tradução

*2023-02-24*

O jogo é perfeito mais falta a tradução queria tanto jogar sem ter que ficar traduzindo

**Developer response:** Thank you! Unfortunately the game has over 468 000 words of text, so it is not practical to translate.

### 5/5 — I keep coming back to this game

*2022-10-16, version 1.0.14*

This game is unlike any other. Strategy and RPG in one - and a story to boot. Its also very replayable. Ive led (and destroyed…) dozens of civilizations.

I also love that wifi and a network are not required to play - so it works during flights and on subways, etc.

I only wish the sequel was coming!

### 4/5 — Almost Perfect

*2022-06-10*

First, let me say this is one of the best games that I’ve played. You basically play as a clan trying to survive in a fantasy world where your god has just been killed. The progress of your clan is extremely engaging and some of the events that pop up are really interesting (i.e., how do you handle having an ally clan that has accepted your religious revelation taking the position that non-believers are heretics and can be enslaved?).

But there’s one huge and pretty glaring problem. This is an extremely short game and it breaks my heart because the game length is artificial. Basically, the clock starts ticking once a single event chain, which occurs very early, starts. After that event triggers, it doesn’t matter what you’re doing or what you want to explore, once the event chain ends so does your game. This is extremely frustrating especially in the context of King of Dragon Pass which would allow you to decide when to start a Tribe (and thus start the end game). I feel like the game would be significantly improved if there was a way to allow players to determine when the end game chain begins (maybe when you’ve completed a certain number of rituals) but as it is, there’s no way to do this and it doesn’t matter what other event chains you’re in the middle of (and will never see the ending of) or if you want to play longer.

**Developer response:** The game is about as many years as a typical short game of King of Dragon Pass. I understand that you want something even longer, but that’s not “extremely short” for most people (howlongtobeat.com says it takes 11 hours).

### 5/5 — Amazing game

*2022-04-14*

Structurally, this game is sort of a hybrid between a strategy game and an RPG. I find that it's helpful to think of it more like an RPG myself, where you play the clan, rather than an individual character. Your clan has a destiny, which will lead you to riches and glory if you are strong enough to hold onto it, or will leave you forgotten and destitute if you don't.

Gameplay then, is about surviving and building your strength (especially in the strength of your leaders) long enough for your destiny to roll around, and in the face of inevitable hardships you'll find. The game does hide a lot of information from you: It's the sort of game that's much, much easier once you've beaten it once or twice already, which can be good or bad depending on what you like in the game. There's also a fairly significant random element. Even your best laid plans can fail, or your insane adventures succeed, if the dice gods favor or hate you that roll.

Nonetheless, I've spent hours and hours enjoying this game, and I really do think it's great.

### 5/5 — Top!

*2021-10-16*

### 3/5 — So so

*2021-10-11, version 1.0.14*

I found the lore way too confusing and long, it has a huge threshold to fully involve into the story. The game mechanics are unclear and very complex, not always clear on what to do to overcome a crisis. The randomized nature of the events and outcomes doesn’t make it clearer either. Despite their statement that there are many ways of playing the game, I found none (in this or previous game) where you could become an evil guy, siding with Chaos to twist your people, turn them to monsters to destroy all other clans.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2021-09-12, version 1.0.14*

This is a Master Piece, please update Kingdom’s of Dragon Pass and this one with more things, and bring more games like this ones. This types of games are AMAZING!!! If u launch more games like this ones, I would say “JUST TAKE MY MONEY and give me that😍”

### 5/5 — I love this game

*2021-05-22, version 1.0.14*

I really like this game and the lore.
I was wondering when would those other game storylines like lights going out and the world reborn would be coming out ?

### 5/5 — Captivating

*2021-05-12, version 1.0.13*

What can I say? I loved it!

### 4/5 — Addicting and entertaining

*2021-01-29*

This game is different than many other mobile games, every action leads to a greater plot and can be rewarding.

### 5/5 — I loved it

*2020-12-20, version 1.0.11*

So many choices and details in such a small device. It reminds me of mount and blade and crusader kings but this game fits in your palm. If you’re into strategy/roleplaying games i recommend this.

i wish there were empire building mechanics where you develop your kingdom or empire.

### 5/5 — 10/10

*2020-11-18*

It is exquisite, well done lads.

Very well written, beautiful images, pretty challenging. Worth every penny.
I just hope and pray that, Insh’Allah, they just release the remaining chapters. I’m super hyped.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Brutal

*2024-05-29, version 1.0.16*

Game is brutal even at easier level. Lots of nasty events keep happening that makes the game not fun.

### 1/5 — Very sad

*2022-05-10, version 1.0.14*

The genocidal maniacs should have been able to bully blue crest more

### 1/5 — Too arbitrary

*2021-03-08*

I gave this game a lot of chances and even read the manual several times. Been trying it off and on for a couple of years. Game would be fantastic if it had any way of measuring how well you’re doing whatsoever. I genuinely think that the developer wanted to hide the game mechanics. Because then we would understand just how poorly they were put together. The artwork is nice, the stories are nice, but it all really counts for nothing if the game itself is unplayable, which it absolutely is. I’ve had games where I completely random clicked on events and it didn’t even make me do any worse. The quality of the storytelling actually backfires when you invest yourself in the story but then realize that your decisions are not relevant. I’m not going to look up a guide online for how to play this game like 90% of the other players have done. That would defeat the purpose of playing the game. I suspect if online guides didn’t exist that this game would have a much lower rating. Although, after reading many of the five star reviews, it’s obvious that many of them are completely fake.

**Developer response:** Sorry the game didn’t work for you, but we absolutely do not do fake reviews.

### 1/5 — Made to frustrate you

*2020-03-29, version 1.0.11*

So, in the nth “restore”, I do better, I manage to grow my wealth, fend off raiders (mostly), prepare to defend it by spending a lot in stone wall, watch tower, a venture of defense, 2 magic points, a spirit, a 2 bless temple to Elmal... just in case some clan has ideas to steal me. Well... two huge waves of Trolls and then the friggin invincible alkothi. So WHY BOTHER. There is no winning possible in this game.
I did another one. The last. We were warned by omens of the trolls attacking, I made magic defenses against trolls aside from lots of magic, a renowned combatant, wall, watch tower... well, they still SNEAKED on us! And all choices made them beat the crap out of us. THIS GAME (which is not really a game, but a random sh1t) IS FOR MASOCHISTS. I wasted money and, what is worse, time.

The quarantine makes me try again. I rock for a few years. Rich, caravans, alliances, strong. I spend most of my goods in a stonewall, 150 cows worth, that is YEARS of crafting and trading. One single attack and it is “ruined”. What a joke. FVCK SIX AGES

### 1/5 — Boring

*2019-03-19, version 1.0.7*

I wish I never would have bought this game. It is so boring. I love games like Civilization and choice-based novels, but I just don’t see the strategy in this. A lot of the choices are limited and it doesn’t seem like anything you choose is right or produces anything of value. I feel very lost like the game is going on, but I’m just choosing random things without understanding why. There doesn’t seem to be a strategy. The tutorial wasn’t helpful. It would have been nice to play a demo before wasting cash on this game. Oh well, enjoy my money. Hopefully you can use it to come up with something more entertaining in the future.

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your time

*2018-09-07, version 1.0.5*

This game likes to pretend it has deep lore and a great story to tell. It frankly doesn’t. It hides it’s lack of compelling story behind a steep difficulty of constant raids and poorly explained rules. This game should be rated XXX for how much it bends you over and screws you out of your money and your time.

### 2/5 — Unzugänglich hoch 10

*2020-12-30*

### 2/5 — Six ages

*2020-08-28, version 1.0.11*

Great game but iv been playing for two days and it’s crashed once both days in the middle of me playing and when I try to reload the game it says it may have changed files so I can’t play my games now and will have to start a new one.

### 2/5 — Good Game with Exceptional Creativity

*2020-03-29*

....but excessively difficult to understand and hard to be successful.

Others may be thrilled with the level of detail and amazing creativity, but I’ve lost interest because....well.....I just don’t get it.

### 2/5 — Dull

*2019-12-27*

I wants to like this story game but ultimately it’s boring and repetitive and success is based on a formula that’s illogical. Better games out there to waste my time with

Must play for fantasy lovers. The setting, Glorantha, has been lovingly and diligently built since the 60s.

### 5/5 — Addictive and compelling storytelling!

*2025-07-26*

If you've never had a chance to play this series of games, grab your favourite beverage and hunker down (for at least a few days). Every decision you make has an effect on how you help your clan grow and thrive in this vibrant world.

Hard to not get enveloped in the lore, and the game keeps pulling you in to come back.

5/5 keep up the great work devs!

### 5/5 — Thanks

*2025-04-21, version 1.0.16*

Hey, I don’t think the creator reads these anymore, but I just want to iterate how much joy this series has brought me since I was a wee lad.

Since I was a kid I loved these games, possibly king of dragon pass most of all. I’ve never seen something like these done before or since. Very creative and inspirational! Almost wish I could give back somehow. Suppose I’ll have to by creating something of myself someday. Thank you and your group for being creators and for your work.

### 5/5 — Mostly good a little bad.

*2024-12-04*

This game probably is the better one then KODP but it is lacking a few charming features present in KODP. For example it was fun to distribute your acres between woodland, pasture and crop fields. Here all of that nuance is missing. Also the randomness in this game makes me so mad it can give me kidney stones. I liked the Iron Age Gauls/Anglos of KODP more then these Bronze Age Hungarians/Huns, although the Gods these guys worship are just as cool as Orlanth and gang. Finally the time scale in this game is very short. In KODP you could have played for a hundred+ years. Here it is less than 30 I have found. Years last longer in this game so you still play for a long time but maybe not as long as KODP.

Still combat is much better, seasons are now split into early and late versions which makes it easier to keep track of how much time you have, that makes years last longer. Spirits are a very cool addition. The dialogue options are much more wide ranging which is good.

The family system could have been better, unfortunately they don’t really effect the game beyond the events and bottlenecking your clan ring, making you have to choose one of each family, something that can thankfully be regularly ignored. I would like to have seen them presented as semi independent entities that you have to negotiate with. At least a single tab related to them would have been nice, which family has the most cattle, what family is related to which clan?

So basically, good game.

### 5/5 — Lore valley

*2024-07-25, version 1.0.16*

I adore the lore!

Once you surrender to the struggles of six ages, this trilogy begins to sing a song full of grace and authenticity. You get introduced to many gods whose names and stories evolve through the inhabited necessity of their existence for this world, by the peoples who strive within it. Each god is paradoxical since every culture views them from a separate lens.

There’s plenty of paradox, come get some, bro.

This is the sort of game which humbly demands that you see things from the perspective it provides, from your clans eyes.

And all the while, the dualistic nature of the why becomes ever more complex.

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2024-05-28*

New to this type of game, but absolutely loved it. Was glued to my iPad for days. Can’t wait to try Six Ages 2 and Kings of Dragon Pass.

### 5/5 — Great game, perfect on IOS

*2023-12-07, version 1.0.16*

Unique title that masterfully combines management, rpg, roguelike, chose-your-own-adventure, and strategy in an established heroic fantasy setting. Plays perfect on iOS. Has a phenomenal sequel (Six Ages 2) and an awesome spiritual predecessor that was already a classic back in the day (King of Dragon Pass).

### 5/5 — this is an awesome game

*2023-07-10, version 1.0.15*

this game I would highly recommend to those who enjoyed King of dragons pass. It is the sequel to the previous game. I like this game a lot. The music is beautiful, and it works well with voiceover.

### 5/5 — One of my favorite games

*2023-03-06, version 1.0.15*

Great lore with deep mechanics/system. Sometimes I don’t know what I am doing but enjoy the consequences. Have both King of the Dragon Pass and this game and spent hours and hours of fun. Will buy the sequel on day one if they ever release one.
