## What is Sixant?

Free for a limited time — all Pro features unlocked.

Sixant puts your AI coding agent in your pocket. Drive Claude Code and Codex — running on your own Mac, Linux or Windows computer — straight from your iPhone. Start tasks, watch output stream live, review diffs, approve tool calls, and manage git, from anywhere. When you need hands on the machine, Remote Desktop puts its screen on your phone.

Your computer does the work; Sixant is the remote.

FEATURES
• Remote-control Claude Code and Codex on your computer
• Live streaming output as the agent works
• Approve or deny tool calls and permission prompts from your phone
• Review diffs and commit / push with git, right from chat
• Multiple windows — several projects or agents at once
• Push notifications and a Lock Screen Live Activity when a long task finishes or needs you
• Voice input — dictate instead of typing
• Send photos and screenshots for the agent to see
• Supervisor mode — let the agent run multiple rounds autonomously
• Remote file manager — browse, zip, move and download files on your computer
• Share a chat as a web link so someone can follow along
• Works away from home over an encrypted relay (the relay forwards ciphertext only — it can never read your content) — no public IP or port-forwarding
• End-to-end encrypted phone-to-computer link
• Interface in six languages

SIXANT PRO (one-time purchase, optional — currently free)
• Remote Desktop — the computer's screen on your phone, with your finger as the mouse
• Switch engines and accounts, with automatic quota failover across accounts
• Unlimited parallel windows and multiple computers
• SSH terminal + SFTP file transfer to any server
• MCP, Hooks and Skills configuration panels
• Proxy settings for the CLIs on your computer
• Share a local port from your computer via a time-limited HTTPS link (up to 24 hours)
• Usage and quota statistics

No computer? Spin up a cloud server from the app with your own cloud account keys (optional).

Sixant is a companion app: it requires a computer running the free Sixant daemon and your own Claude or Codex account.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-19

· Fixed: resuming a conversation from the session list didn't use the latest Opus model.
· While everything is free, the purchase button and promo banner are gone — all features just work, with no paywall in the way.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-19

Now called Sixant
The old name, Sextant, is a common word and hard to find in the store. Features, your data and anything you purchased are unchanged.

Connection
• Fixed frequent disconnects: a message catch-up path could loop on itself and flood the connection within seconds
• A connection that is actively delivering data is no longer mistaken for a dead one
• Heartbeats are now sent only while idle, which is easier on the battery
• Recovers on its own after a Wi-Fi blip or a network change — no more force-quitting the app

Messages
• Fixed a sent message occasionally appearing twice
• Fixed replies occasionally cut off mid-sentence
• Fixed the chat getting stuck on "Syncing…" when reopened

Also
• The model shown in the title bar now matches the one actually running
• Fixed images showing only a cropped middle strip
• "Auto-upload screenshots" is now off by default
• "Copy to computer" now handles non-ASCII text
• The supervisor panel no longer shows finished tasks as still running

### 1.0 — 2026-09-09

No release notes.
