## What is SJIM?

St. Joseph’s Institute of Management (SJIM), Bangalore is an ever-evolving center of education and invention. Started in 1968 as offshoot of St. Joseph’s College of Commerce (SJCC) at Brigade Road, SJIM found itself a growing and reshaping itself along with other Jesuit-run St Joseph’s Colleges and Institutions in Bangalore. It renamed from St. Joseph’s College of Business Administration into St Joseph’s Institute of Management (SJIM) with an independent campus in the heart of the Garden City, M.G.Road, Bangalore. Approved by AICTE in 1996 for a Two Year Full-Time PGDM, accredited by NBA, is a member of Global Jesuits Network International Association of Jesuit Business Schools (IAJBS) and Xavier Association of Management Institutions (XAMI).

SJIM is under the Management of the Bangalore Jesuit Educational Society (BJES) and is the only Jesuit Business School in Bangalore. The other institutions under BJES are St. Joseph's University (SJU), St. Joseph's College of Commerce (SJCC), St. Joseph's Evening College, St. Joseph’s College of Law (SJCL), St. Joseph’s Boys School and many more. Educate, innovate and integrate are the three mantras of today both for business and education sector. We are living in a very fast-evolving world where unless and until we get educate ourselves to meet today’s demands, we will not be prepared to innovate and integrate the needs of today and tomorrow. We cannot respond to today’s questions with yesterday’s answers. We, at St Joseph’s Institute of Management (SJIM), have been meeting the demands of today and preparing ourselves to meet tomorrow. The academic program at SJIM is geared towards answering today’s questions thus be ready to face tomorrow boldly and adequately. The various events both academic and cultural, aesthetic and artistic, innovative and creative prepares SJIM students ready for any role both business and non-business world offers. The numerous programs to develop leadership skills, frequent interaction with industry leaders, rural exposure, corporate internships, industry-academia conferences and conclaves open up many opportunities for the overall wholistic growth of the students.
