## What is Skanlore?

Skanlore turns the room around your child into a vocabulary adventure.

Instead of tapping flashcards, kids point the camera at real objects — a soft pillow, a round ball, a smooth spoon — and Skanlore checks whether each one matches the describing words in their quest. Match the words, clear the quest, defeat the monster, and grow your Word Tome. Built for young readers, roughly ages 5–12.

• All sound in one place. Background music, game effects, and Lumi's voice and buzz now live in a single "Sound & Music" panel — flip any of them on or off, with a quick preview so you know what you're hearing.

• Quick mute, wherever you are. A music button now sits right on the sign-in and child-select screens, so a grown-up can turn the sound down instantly — no digging through settings.

• Gentler camera guidance. When the camera sees something that isn't a scannable object — a person, a screen, or a page of writing — kids now get a warm, clear nudge to point at a real object instead.

• Clearer privacy notes. Our in-app privacy section now spells out exactly how camera images are handled, and what is never sent for evaluation.
