## What is Skate Coach Sidekick?

Skate Coach Sidekick helps figure skating coaches spend less time on monthly admin and more time on the ice.

Instead of juggling notebooks, spreadsheets, and manual invoices, you can track lessons, organize your skaters and payers, create monthly invoices, and follow payment status — all in one simple workflow built around how coaches actually work.

SET UP YOUR ROSTER FASTER
• Import students and parent or guardian contacts from Excel (.xlsx), CSV or copied spreadsheet cells.
• Match columns and review rows, family links and possible duplicates before confirming.

PLAN STUDENT DEVELOPMENT
• Create season goals and weekly outlines, and record progress reviews.
• Preview parent copies and keep saved versions for follow-up.

ORGANIZE YOUR COACHING
• Set up your coach profile and rate card once.
• Keep skaters, families, billing contacts, and clubs organized.
• Record private, semi-private, and group lessons, club classes, club work, and substitute coaching.
• Use schedule-assisted entry for configured club classes.

TURN LESSONS INTO INVOICES
• Build monthly invoices automatically from your recorded time.
• Review line items and preview the PDF before you send.
• Email invoices to families and billing contacts.
• Track sent, paid, and carried-forward balances.
• Review monthly income and substitute-coach payouts.

WORK WITH OTHER COACHES
• Set up substitute coverage and record substitute lessons.
• Hand off and import coach-to-coach billing so the right person gets paid.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 2.0 — 2026-10-14

Set up your roster faster in version 2.0.

Import students and parent or guardian contacts from an Excel workbook, CSV file, or copied spreadsheet cells. Match your columns, review each row, resolve warnings and possible duplicates, and confirm before anything is saved. Explicit family references help keep siblings together.

Keep student development organized with season goals, weekly outlines, coaching notes and progress reviews. Preview a parent copy before sharing, and keep saved versions for follow-up conversations.

Continue from roster setup to lesson entry, monthly invoices and payment tracking in one app.

### 1.1 — 2026-09-30

Release 1.1 adds regional coaching setup for Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia. Choose your business time zone and invoice in CAD, USD, GBP or AUD without requiring a federation membership number.

Configure invoice tax labels, rates, registration details and inclusive or exclusive pricing. Saved invoices retain their billing facts.

Import supported club calendars using your own filenames, lesson mapping and date range.

Create and revise skater training plans, then share reviewed PDF copies with parents.

Add a new skater directly while choosing skaters for a lesson. The new skater is selected automatically, so you can continue entering a group lesson without losing your work.
