### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2026-07-22, version 2.01*

I’d rather have an option to select gender of the skeleton. While male and female are very similar, they’re not the same. Also, very limited pose presets. It’s an expensive app for little options.

### 4/5 — Not bad, needs pose-able hands

*2026-07-11*

It’s quick and intuitive to use, but it really suffers from not having pose-able hands. I’d also like to see a better lighting system, where you can add and colour lights, plus the option to see where the lightbulbs actually are in space to have better control of the lighting. I’d also like to see some different model options for a range of body shapes. If they added these details the app would be by far my favourite out there for posing characters. As it is it’s pretty good, but I hope they will improve it.

### 3/5 — Can you ?

*2025-10-10*

Maybe include options to study individual bones, and muscles with labels?

### 3/5 — Wish it was better for the price…

*2025-03-18*

It’s great for simple reference but when you are posing the model yourself it quickly looses the aspect of realism. The model lacks weights to prevent you from for example from rotating the head all the way around or twisting limbs in ways they shouldn’t bend. If realism isn’t what you’re looking for then this is fine but for anatomical concepts this program lacks simple 3d fundamental posing/rigging dynamics unfortunately.

### 4/5 — Pretty good

*2025-01-12, version 2.01*

This is super helpful if you’re an artist and have a hard time finding the perfect reference photo. Though I do wish you could pose the jaw bone and the individual fingers on the model, that would make this perfect. Overall it’s worth it though!

### 4/5 — Bonne app dans l’ensemble

*2024-06-17*

### 3/5 — Has Potential

*2023-12-15*

The accuracy of the model is great but functionality and ease of use is lost completely. With an app like MagicPoser out there I’m surprised this app isn’t super fun. So much is possible here, but I’m hoping with further updates I’ll be able to change my rating to a 5 star especially because I respect Proko so much. It would also be great to be able to move the digits of the fingers and toes.

### 3/5 — Great but..

*2023-08-12, version 2.01*

The camera distortion is too severe. Needs more camera options including just 2d to show the skeleton flat with no perspective.

### 4/5 — need update

*2023-08-06*

I hope I can control the fingers and toes of skeletons someday. Plus, need more poses, too.

### 3/5 — Not quite right.

*2023-07-21*

I realise this app is mostly for artists, but even then there is one feature that would make this a much better app. If there were a way to lock certain parts when posing. Then you could get a better understanding of how the skeleton moves. For example tilting the pelvis should cause the spine to move which in turn would make the head tilt. Or by locking the feet to the ground if you lowered the pelvis down it would only allow the knees to move showing when making the model squat or sit.
Theses features would be great for people who study movement/ physiotherapy. Or even just people who are curious about how to correct their posture etc.
Again I know that the app is intended For artists, but even they could get an idea of realistic movement if the app had this feature.

### 4/5 — Details

*2022-12-27*

Nice app. Only a few minor things I’ve found that could do with improving. Elbows don’t move side to side only up and down, and no movement in the fingers. Otherwise the rest isn’t too bad.

### 4/5 — Helpful app, but…

*2022-12-13*

This app has a nice balance of power and simplicity. Very handy for making anatomy references while drawing, animating, etc.
One important feature which is missing is the ability to set a focal length for the “camera.” As is, the shots are rather “wide angle” which is fine for casual use but a definite drawback when used for a reference for an actual artwork in progress where you don’t want as much distortion in your reference. Eagerly anticipating an update which addresses this!

### 4/5 — Nice posing system, but could use some improvements

*2022-12-01*

I think Skelly has an intuitive posing system, and this is something I really like about it. However, I wish a few basic things could be improved about Skelly. One of those things is that Skelly doesn’t have a female model. You only get a male model. Also, there’s certain joints of the skeleton that you cannot pose. You cannot pose the jaw of the skeleton. You also don’t have the option to pose the hands & feet. The inability to pose the jaw, hands & feet creates some limitations when it comes to the types of poses that are possible. Additionally, it’s not possible to export a pose as a PNG image with a transparent background. You have to take a screenshot if you want to export your pose as an image, which isn’t ideal.

### 5/5 — Straight to the point

*2022-11-07, version 2.01*

Great app freaking love it, would be help full to have a front, side, top, bottom view kind of thing trying to make thing symmetrical but I keep moving the screen read, other than that great app

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2022-11-04, version 2.01*

And perfect for use with Proko's anatomy course. I do wish one could change the Field of View without zooming.

### 2/5 — Pelvis does not move

*2022-06-25, version 2.01*

Unfortunate that the pelvis does not move properly to relay relative motion of the pelvis and femur.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2024-11-16, version 2.01*

For $7 I expected there to be more 30 poses. Also the hands and feet do not articulate correctly in these poses. This is a scam. Don’t waste your money

### 1/5 — If I could get my money back I would

*2022-05-18, version 2.00*

Firstly, the controls are terrible. It’s opposite of which direction you wish for it to turn. The pose range is not anatomically correct at the slightest miss turn. Did I mention that when you click on one bone and try to turn it with the arrows it clicks on a new bone? Well, that’s what happens. You cannot turn the arm below the elbow other than side to side. Want to go down? Well, you have to move the entire shoulder. Easy enough right? Well actually no, because when you try to turn the shoulder in a nature direction it goes crazy. Secondly, the camera function is not at all usable. Trying to turn the entire skeleton view is a nightmare it either flips out or simply doesn’t do it. The zoom function and lighting function work as advertised. If you just want the preprogrammed poses than it is a great app. However, is it worth the price? Absolutely not. This app is worth at most 1.99 and that’s generous. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

### 1/5 — iPad Issues

*2021-12-31, version 2.00*

On iPad, I got this app so I could split the screen and have a reference on one side, my drawing app on the other side. This app doesn’t support that function? Am I just missing some trick? Every other app I’ve used has the ability to share the screen with another app. This is very frustrating, I’m out $7 for an app I used for about 1 minute.

*2021-12-04*

### 1/5 — Disappointing

*2021-01-22, version 2.00*

Non posable hands! Why would you promote an anatomy app, in a video about hands, that doesnt allow you to pose hands. Ridiculous.

### 1/5 — WASTE OF MONEY

*2020-07-05, version 2.00*

cheaper apps have better options and are way easier to use. $7 is ridiculous. ESPECIALLY SINCE YOU CANT MOVE THE FINGERS. which is all I needed this for. This app has ZERO features that justify the price. I AM SO UPSET ABOUT THIS STUPID APP CAN YOU TELL

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money or time

*2019-10-11*

I never wrote a review for an app before but this app so is useless I had to warn people. It will take forever to set up a pose and it won’t be accurate in the end as all the joints move 360 degrees not the actual range. If you’re going for a wacky pose then go ahead but if you’re trying to replicate a photo reference Do Not Buy this app not worth your time nor money.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

*2026-07-28*

### 5/5 — Love it with room to grow

*2025-10-03, version 2.01*

This is a fab app. Incredibly helpful and worth every penny. That said, I wish for the following:

Undo last move button
Rules of physics toggle (no skull in the pelvis sort of thing)
Center Skelly with light or dark side up
Articulated fingers/ hand only mode

I truly do recommend this app for sure. My UI/X brain just never shuts off, and those are 4 things I didn’t have and needed within the first 10 minutes of using Skelly.

### 5/5 — I'd be happy if there are women's body types.

*2024-09-29*

Very useful to refer only to consider the male body.
However, I would like to compare the difference in body shape between men and women, so please also ask for the female body type version.

It doesn't matter if you add it as additional paid content.

### 5/5 — Amazing !

*2024-05-17*

I use this almost everyday to practice drawing heads and skulls in any angle, and it’s a great tool for anatomy. Honestly I can’t say enough good things. Being able to change the light source and angle is a nice touch. It’s great if you are studying figure drawing as well this app has made my life soooo much easier and helped me a lot in my journey so far!:)

### 5/5 — Phalanges

*2023-10-27*

Great app and l’ve done probably about 50 drawings from it. My only suggestion for improvement would be control of the fingers. You can move the hands at the wrist but you can’t, for instance, make a fist or have fingers slightly flexed as they are in a usual relaxed state.

### 5/5 — Proko

*2023-10-03, version 2.01*

Because it’s a Proko product this automatically gets 5/5.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2023-05-18*

Absolutely love the app! Only thing I would want, is to be able to do like just the hands or just the skull etc. maybe that could be a feature for future updates? Being able to do a focus on the hands or individual body party’s would be amazing 😊 but overall amazing app!

### 5/5 — Nice artist tool

*2023-03-07, version 2.01*

Every thing is great, I just wish you could open the jaw of the skeleton
