What's New in Sketchar

10.9.2

October 18, 2026

Learn, upgraded. Guides, videos, articles, and interviews with artists who actually know what they’re doing — all in one place. Turns out we had a lot to say. Collabs is the new home for art challenges. Multiplayer, challenges, and collaborations now live under one roof, so you don’t have to go looking. Everything community-related, finally in the same room. Got ideas for making Sketchar better? We read every email: hello@sketchar.io

Thank you so much!

An update on my first review. This app is one of the best! My questions have been answered. Thanks you so much for being an amazing app and having amazing people who work with you! Well worth every minute you put into it! The free version has its limits but if you have a little extra money, the PRO Version could possibly be an answer to your prayers. When looking for an instructive drawing app this is the best! Keep up the good work Sketchar: AR Drawing App.
1st review - Every day I looked forward to clicking on learn…..then xxxing out of the ‘buy pro’ ad, and receiving my free drawing for the day. Well as of 09-23-2026…..THERE IS NO LONGER A FREE DRAWING. Believe me I would love to be able to afford it, but I can’t. Because of health issues Im confined to my home and love this! On the create page you guys had several groups of drawings that were free to access. Now all of a sudden they are all included in the pro version. I now understand the reasons behind the change.

FAQ

What is Sketchar?

Sketchar is an application that merges augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI) to help users learn and improve their drawing skills. It offers a variety of lessons, a powerful drawing tool, and community features to make the learning experience engaging and entertaining.

How does the AR drawing feature work?

The AR drawing feature uses your smartphone camera to project an AR sketch onto a surface in front of you. You can then follow the virtual lines on paper with a pencil, step-by-step, to learn how to draw. Professional artists also use this function to scale sketches onto larger surfaces.

What are the subscription options and costs?

Sketchar offers four auto-renewable subscription options: a 1-Week Subscription for $7.99, a 1-Month Subscription for $14.99, a 1-Year Subscription with a 3-Day Trial for $69.99, and a 1-Year Special Offer Subscription for $34.99. Prices may vary by country.

Who is this app for?

This app is designed for anyone who wishes to enhance their drawing abilities, explore their artistic side, create impressive artwork, connect with other artists, or find a relaxing way to de-stress through art.

What kind of drawing lessons are available?

The app provides over 550 drawing lessons, many of which are based on popular characters. You can choose to start with beginner lessons or focus on specific areas like portraiture or anime to refine your artistic techniques.
