Fascinatingly simple. Simply fascinating. sketchometry is a different kind of dynamic math software.

You draw with your finger on your iPhone or iPad.
sketchometry automatically converts these (finger) sketches into exact geometric objects.
Mathematics becomes an experimental subject. No ready-made results are presented, learners are encouraged to go on a journey of discovery by themselves.

Stürtzt bei essenziellen dingen schon ab, wie zum Beispiel zu weites Rauszoomen. Manchmal funktioniert auch garnichts mehr und ich muss die app Neustarten damit es wieder funktioniert! Bitte beheben!

Tolle App, hab nur ein Problem mit meinem ipad pro11“
iPadOS 17.0.3.
Bei der Eingabe einer Funktion in die Eingabenzeile
wird unten das Tastatursymbol mit DeDe falsch angzeigt.
Beim Anklicken wird sketchometry beendet, und in die
App Übersicht von iOS zurückgekehrt.
Man kann keine Funktionsgleichung eingeben, ärgerlich.
Am iphone 12 und in der Webversion von sketchometry
funktioniert alles einwandfrei.
An ipad Einstellungen kann es eigentlich nicht liegen,
bei anderen Apps funktioniert es einwandfrei.
Wo kann der Fehler liegen?

Ansonsten wie gesagt tolle App

Wenn man zwei Parallele Geraden zeichnet und die entstehenden Winkel ausmessen möchte, werden die Winkel automatisch verschoben und sie werden ungleich. Außerdem reagiert die App manchmal nicht und schließt sich einfach, oder lässt sich garnicht erst öffnen. Nicht empfehlenswert!

Das ist eine tolle App, aber leider wird sie auf dem iPad nur noch mit sehr großem Glück geöffnet. Woran liegt das? Bitte unbedingt wieder lauffähig machen! Dann wieder mehr Sterne.

### 26.3 — 2026-06-12

With version 26.3, sketchometry receives an update that significantly improves working in the area of analysis.

The new coordinate system ensures that the x- and y-axes now use a consistent ticks distance and behave more coherently overall.

Another major step forward is the improved term handling. Terms are now simplified, making functions clearer and easier to read, and significantly improving the handling of more complex expressions. In combination with this, function terms are now also evaluated dynamically, so changes made via sliders are directly reflected in the term beside the graph.

It is also now possible to drag function graphs with your finger. This feature must be enabled in the graph's properties.

Function graphs can now also leave traces. This is particularly useful in conjunction with the slider for displaying family of functions.

In addition, an issue in the iOS help system has been fixed that previously caused display problems.

Beyond these changes, the update includes many additional improvements and internal adjustments that further enhance stability and performance.

In the last version, some minor bugs had crept into the iOS app's help pop-ups and gesture overview.
26.2.2 fixes that.

### 26.0 — 2026-02-17

Version 26.0 brings fresh energy to sketchometry. More functionality, more languages, and greater stability.

Template in the gallery can now be fully customized. The properties defined here are applied to each newly created board.
In the board, default properties for objects are now managed through a dedicated popup. These properties all objects in a board.
Several new default properties have been added to enhance flexibility.

The editor for functions and text has been redesigned for a more compact layout on tablets and smartphones.
It can now also be positioned at the top of the screen.

Additional Features and Improvements
- New language: French
- Menu, toolbar, and popups
    - Toolbar redesigned with a cleaner structure and separator lines
    - Closing popups via the "X" is now consistently visible
- Angle (fixed size) is now supported clockwise and counterclockwise
- Axes, ticks, and grid are no longer mistakenly measurable
- Bug affecting measurements with sliders has been fixed

Numerous smaller improvements and optimizations further enhance performance and make sketchometry smoother and more responsive.

### 2.5.4 — 2026-01-14

This version fixes a bug from v2.5.2 that prevented the "topmost" object from always being measured.

### 2.5.3 — 2025-12-20

This version fixes two minor bugs:

1. Moving and rotating objects with two fingers was not saved.
2. Constructions from version v2.x were not imported correctly since v2.5.1.

In addition, single constructions in the gallery can now be exported directly via a button without having to make a selection first.

The language setting now shows how much of a language has already been translated.
