We’re always in for a laugh with some of the drawings. Even though you can add words, it would be nice if a new group of words were added with an update or paid add on word packs. But….it seems to only work with Apple TV, which I don’t have at home and I can’t just mirror the screen. Using it with screen mirroring makes for a great family game night. My only complaint is with the words and categories. The standard words are sometime so abstract and weird that they are impossible to draw (e,g, “extra sensory perception” or “charity event”) but the kid words are far too easy. The best part? Making your own word list with words and phrases that are specific to your own family— names of pets, stuffed animals, funny family traditions.... I was so impressed about the way it works on Apple TV. What may not be clear from the description is that it works on older versions of Apple TV: only the drawing screen appears on the TV, with the clues and tools only visible on the iPad to the person drawing. Since the last update early July 2018, this has been a blast to play on my SE and the whole family has loved it. Thanks! old version review-Since the touch on the screen does not correspond with the resulting line being drawn, it is beyond maddening. Even with careful management of the iPad it’s hard to not lose a game. We love this but it’s way too frustrating. Don’t waste your money on a game that works for a partial amount of time. I am running and iPad Pro and an Apple TV 4K yet somehow it cannot stay synced. I have a strong reliable network powered by an Asus AC 3100. Apple TV has direct connection with network, still unable to maintain a good connection. App is not worthy of the 5 star reviews that it has. ### 1/5 — Old Apple TV? Buy a new one if you want to play *2016-06-24, version 4.0.2* AirPlay works elsewhere, but with this app my screen goes black, unplayable black. Looking for an inexistent display app. Developer's advice? Buy the app and a new Apple TV to run it. I think not! Back to pen and paper - they don't need a hardware upgrade to work! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Very fun group game. *2025-12-29* Tried this for the first time this week with the family… It was an absolute hoot to see our terrible drawings up on the TV and pass around the iPad trying to help our team guess what we are drawing. Was very interactive with the kids and really all ages. The connection between the iPad and the Apple TV app was seamless and solid, no issues. Highly recommend. We used an iPad with an Apple Pencil in our situation and it worked awesome. **Developer response:** Thank you for giving it a try! It’s just frustrating the word list is so small and repeats quickly. I would pay for different list of words. Monetize it. Make a way for us to load banks of words. For the words: have you tried any of the word lists available from the "Choose Word List" screen? There's a brand new collection of Animal-themed lists including Farm Animals and Dinosaurs, which we think kids will love. You can also use the "Create New Word List" option to add your own, and you can copy and paste from another source, like a website or ChatGPT. ### 5/5 — Love this app *2025-08-21* Love this app. It is so much fun. Love playing with the family! This game is so perfect I only wish that they would update it with new words. Please make a version that can be played online with a group. Eventually stopped using those iPads and forgot about it. I recently purchased a new iPad Pro 12.9” after years of not using an iPad. The other day, I decided to check out what I had on my iPad 3, and I found this game! Immediately went to download it on my new iPad. Looks like it works with Apple TV natively now (instead of AirPlay). It also works with Apple Pencil, which is a huge plus. Can’t wait to play this again and relive some memories! The only thing I’d suggest is to add more mature word lists.
