### 1/5 — Scam

*2025-08-11, version 3.4*

Paid $15 for this app and now they have changed it from a one time fee to an annual subscription.

### 1/5 — Sleazy firm, Won’t honor their prior user purchase license

*2025-08-07, version 3.4*

I bought this app years ago under a lifetime purchase option. The app then became unusable and they gave the reason as the loss of their data source. They said they were sourcing another data option and that the app would be available again shortly. Once the app became available again they wouldn’t honor the lifetime license!!!! They won’t give me access to my prior purchase unless I begin paying annual fees. Please don’t buy this app - It is a sleazy firm. Also, if you go their website there is no way to contact them. C’mon Apple, do something about this.

### 1/5 — EU

*2025-08-01, version 3.4*

No airport codes work for the EU so it’s sort of misleading. Either provide a fix or would lie a refund.

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2025-07-19, version 3.3*

I bought this app a while ago. They changed it to a one time fee to a monthly subscription. Thats just dishonest and refuse to use it anymore.

### 1/5 — Disappointing subscription

*2025-07-15, version 3.3*

I loved this app… haven’t used it for a while, came back to find that even though I PAID for the app, now I’m getting charged a subscription fee. Sorry - but those who paid for the app should have been grandfathered in.

### 1/5 — Very poor form

*2025-07-06, version 3.3*

I too paid a “one time purchase fee” for this app, only to have it break soon after for many months then reappear requiring an annual fee. We should not reward this type of behavior; look elsewhere for other options

### 1/5 — No longer works unless you subscribe

*2025-06-14, version 3.3*

I agree with the other comments form others. This product suddenly now requires a subscription. No warning or anything. No option to verify if it even works now. Good bye!

### 1/5 — Paid app that worked for years suddenly requires subscription

*2025-06-08, version 3.3*

Paid for the app several years ago. Now with the update, my purchase is basically useless because now I have to pay a subscription to use the app. No option for existing users. Legacy users deserve a refund if there won’t be an exception made for them.

### 1/5 — Paid Users Held Hostage by Surprise Subscription

*2025-05-04, version 3.3*

I paid a premium price for SkewTLogPro expecting a full-featured, one-time purchase. After the latest update (v3.3) the app now locks me out unless I cough up a recurring $13/year subscription—and that major change wasn’t mentioned anywhere in the release notes.

No “legacy user” option, no warning, just pay again or lose access. That’s an unethical bait-and-switch, plain and simple. I’m furious that my original purchase has effectively been voided. Apple: please investigate, and developer: honor the licenses you already sold.

### 1/5 — Used to be the best, not anymore

*2025-05-03, version 3.3*

I am a CFI who USED to use this app daily for summer flying & recommended it to all my colleagues and students. No more. Why? Well, while pricy to initially acquire, this app USED to be a one-time fee ($12 I believe). Then it inexplicably broke for the past year when the FAA/NOAA changed their data API, crashing when I tried to load the chart for any field. The developer provided no responses to my bug reports, despite my being an avid user and advocate. So. I gave up on this app and instead started using Windy’s skew-t generator, which is free. As this summer has rolled around, I noticed an update was FINALLY released. I excitedly downloaded it and — SURPRISE — the app been paywalled behind an annual subscription! No demo mode to verify that it actually works. No regard for the fact that I ALREADY paid to acquire it. Regrettably there are plenty of free Skew-T generators out there so I am removing this from my EFB and will no longer mention it to colleagues nor students. It’s been a nice run folks, sorry to see that this IP has been sucked up by a faceless corp who just want to extract an annuity from pilots and has no regard for prior purchases. To add insult to injury, the underlying data source (NOAA) is STILL paid for by US tax dollars. Shameful.

### 1/5 — Unethical developer!

*2025-05-01, version 3.3*

Paid a flat price for the app, $15 as I recall. But now on the last update it turned into an annual subscription. Unethical developer!

### 1/5 — Greedy developer bait and switch

*2025-04-14, version 3.3*

I bought this app pre-subscription for a hefty price. Now, it has zero functionality and attempts to extort another $13/year out of me.

### 1/5 — Crooked developer

*2025-04-02, version 3.3*

Paid a flat price for the app, $15 or 20 as I recall. But now on the last update it turned into an annual subscription. Low life stuff!

### 1/5 — Bait and Switch

*2025-03-17, version 3.3*

Bought a year ago and upon opening it suddenly it demands a yearly subscription. Try tropical tidbits or windy, they have free skew t information. This isn’t it for me anymore ;-;

### 1/5 — Poor execution, jacking buyers for subscriptions

*2025-03-15, version 3.3*

Bought this a couple years ago. It’s really not worth buying, as 1. It crashes repeatedly, and 2. They charged a pretty hefty amount up front, then added an annual subscription fee after the fact. There are online tools that are more reliable, and free. Use flytheweather.com, it’s free and better.

### 1/5 — Too Expensive!!

*2025-03-13, version 3.3*

Like many other reviewers, I purchased this app years ago then got locked out requiring $13 per year for something we can get online in many locations for free. GREED is ugly!!!!!! Maybe $6 a year is worth it. Will be waiting until hopefully the price is lowered.

### 1/5 — Purchased the app but now I’m locked out???

*2025-03-11, version 3.3*

Spent money on this app and found it very useful. Then it went offline with no notice or communication. Now, it’s back but I need a subscription and I get no credit for having purchased it in the first place?? Very poor customer service. The developers need to make this right.

### 1/5 — Subscription now required

*2025-03-05, version 3.3*

I am disappointed that customers that purchased the app are now required to pay an annual subscription. Also it would be nice to know that the data source for the skew-t diagrams has been restored

### 1/5 — Terrible policy change

*2025-03-04, version 3.3*

Bought the app in 2021. No subscription required. Now they locked previous users out until they purchase an annual subscription. Not part of the original agreement. Bye.

### 1/5 — Bought lifetime license, now requires a subscription

*2025-03-03, version 3.3*

I bought the lifetime license and now they've revoked that and began to charge a $13/yr fee to use the app.

Uninstalling, very sad especially since the app was essentially abandoned, but still functioned just fine. The subscription is not worth it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Paid

*2026-03-29, version 3.8*

Paid with the promise of a one time fee, but doesn’t work anymore without a yearly fee.

### 1/5 — Got bamboozled

*2026-02-12, version 3.7*

Paid for this “lifetime” app years ago now it’s locked behind a subscription paywall… at least offer people who bought the app a lifetime option vs subscription. Totally lame.

### 1/5 — Won’t live up to their policies

*2026-01-23, version 3.6*

So I bought this, actually bought it and now they’ve gone to a subscription model and won’t honor their old purchases. To me, that is reprehensible. If people get their new subscription, who’s to say they won’t change that as well? Do yourself a favor and go get another program, or just look on the web. This company isn’t your best bet

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-01-20, version 3.6*

Paid for lifetime subscription, then they turned it off for over a year. When it returned I need to pay again.

### 1/5 — Terrible policy change

*2026-01-16, version 3.6*

Bought the app in 2021. No subscription required. Now they locked previous users out until they purchase an annual subscription. Not part of the original agreement. Bye.

### 1/5 — Won’t honor lifetime subscription

*2025-12-06, version 3.5*

Bought this app and paid for a lifetime subscription. Now they want me to pay $13/year. Scammy.

### 1/5 — Was ok…. Now, they $$$ grab. STAY AWAY!!!

*2025-11-23, version 3.5*

If worth while, could sue for breach of contract. Bought ages ago under lifetime license. Now, NOPE!!! Stay away, junky dev.

### 1/5 — Terrible Business Practice

*2025-11-08, version 3.5*

Made a one-time purchase years ago and then they switched to a subscription model, locking me out. Do we get a refund? No. They should have at least grandfathered current users to a lifetime subscription. Do yourself a favor and switch to an app that pulls skew-T info for free, like the paragliding app Cloudbase Project.

### 1/5 — SLEEZY OWNER

*2025-11-02, version 3.5*

I Purchased this app years ago under lifetime purchase option. They got greedy and canceled the app then re-launched the app wanting more money.
DO NOT PURCHASE THIS APP
NO Honor
I hope this app crashes permanently. Apple needs to shut these people down.
I truly wish zero stars was available

### 1/5 — Rip off

*2025-09-26, version 3.4*

Paid for the app but now it is subscription based and the data is free from the US government. Shame on the author.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2024-08-01*

I have been using this app for several years.
It always works. Provides a nice snapshot of the atmospheric conditions.
Started using it when I added a glider rating and learned about SkewT charts.
Use it now for all flights when preparing and planning for any type of flight.

### 5/5 — Fantastic APP

*2023-03-04, version 2.5*

Not only do I use this for my flights but it is a great tool to teach weather.

### 5/5 — Important app for pilots and cloud observers

*2023-02-05, version 2.5*

Great app with selectable features to suit many uses. Informative help menus minimize the learning curve, as well as responsive customer service. Makes the beauty and awe of our atmosphere more fantastic with insight in the palm of your hand. Access detailed models in the CONUS and around the world. I use it flying jets, props and gliders for the big weather picture and predicting formation of contrails to view from the ground as a hobby. The the Windy app, always something of interest, everyday.

### 5/5 — Great flight planning tool

*2021-01-30, version 2.4*

A great tool for cross country flight planning. Would be even better if the charts were interactive like those on rucsoundings so you could see exact values at selected pressures.

### 5/5 — Responsive app developer.

*2019-06-09, version 2.2*

It’s always a pleasure when the developer responds to an issue and promptly remedies it. Thanks!

### 5/5 — My go to app

*2019-06-08, version 2.2*

Best app for T SkewTLogPro graphs. Simple and intuitive to use yet very complete and comprehensive. Well done.

### 5/5 — Great tool for pilots!

*2019-05-05, version 2.1*

This app is a really good tool for telling you what to expect with regard to current weather, and can help you improve your own forecasting. Using this app and learning enough to be able to understand all it has to offer ought to be part of being a pilot.

It's really fun to look out the window at any time of day, estimate the height of the clouds I see, and then get on SkewTLogPro and use the graph to see how close I estimated. The graphs always match the ceilings given by the 3 airports near here.

And the app's charts are a whole lot easier to read than NOAA Skew-T charts.

### 5/5 — A “must have” meteorological tool

*2019-05-05, version 2.1*

So, when all you “junior jet-jocks” are ready to graduate, and go along with the “big boys/girls”, you’ll need this app. It requires setting aside time for self study to use effectively; but that’s why you’re being paid “the big bucks.” In fact, if I was doing your employment interview, I’d incorporate some skew-T questions. “Get the picture?” 🤨🧐

### 5/5 — Outstanding information for All pilots

*2018-07-31, version 1.9.4*

Once you spend time to learn how to use a ‘Skew-T’ chart, this app is quick and easy to use and could easily save your life. You can quickly see where the cloud layers will likely be, where you will probably run into to turbulence, and more importantly, where you will likely run into ice. Yes, you can get the data from other sources (NOAA, and where this app draws its information) but not as easily as this. Thank you for the great app that makes flying safer!

### 5/5 — BareBonesAC👍

*2018-06-24, version 1.9.4*

Love the app just wish I could use real-time in flight with my ForeFlight program
