As a parent,
Impossible to sign a child in with out the QR code. Teacher only has a code and not the qr.

Website is impossible to sign in with a class code so I tried the app.

Horrible, very buggy, and a total waste of time.

This app is ok but it’s lags too much, I can’t do school work and that’s not great because I’m very close to failing. It’s also very unpleasant to navigate. Assignments are all over the place it hasn’t just been a problem for me many of my friends who use this application for school have the same problems I have.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — I love the phonics feature

*2021-08-09, version 0.12.23*

Wonderful that the program segments the word into sounds!

### 5/5 — LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT

*2020-11-11, version 0.11.8*

Skies is absolutely marvelous. I’ve been using it for three years. After teaching for 25 years I’ve never seen anything so versatile and useful for my class. The part I LOVE the most is it’s simplicity. Yet it has depth of complexity and more capabilities as you learn more about Skies. I LOVE because in seconds I can create and post assignments. I LOVE how I can look at all the students work at the same time. It also has the same capability as ZOOM. However it’s BETTER because you can see all the breakout rooms at the same time! The video search is fabulous and the image search is so creative because you can find animated GIFs. You can colorcode the cards to bring the students attention two different assignments. You can hide assignments so the students can only see what you want to to see. I can go on and on.
If you need help it’s always available either through chat or email. You can even get 1:1 sessions for personalized training.
While it may have glitches from time to time the creators of the company are constantly improving in fixing everything. It’s a work in progress, but aren’t we all?

### 5/5 — Excellent app for dual language programs

*2018-11-03, version 0.8.21*

Although my students are only second grade, they enjoyed using this app since the second week of the school. It is the only app that I can use daily with the target language for all subjects. Also, the team is super friendly and helpful. Very happy my principal discovered them.

### 5/5 — Three dimensional learning...

*2017-04-17, version 0.7.12*

I utilize this app for special education middle school science and students are able to connect with the cross cutting concepts of the curriculum, practice working collaboratively, present ideas and models, they investigate and research, and have fun doing it because it is an engaging app! It is accessible for students with special needs as they can demonstrate their knowledge with audio, videos, pictures, and/or text(yay! spellcheck). This app allows students to focus on disciplinary core ideas by providing a key tool for understanding and relates to the interests and life experiences of students with their personal postings. For a teacher, this app is great because it's easy to put lessons together in one place and easy to assess students. A+

### 5/5 — My favorite tool for creating classroom community

*2017-04-03, version 0.7.12*

After 4 years, SKIES has had an incredible impact on my teaching and my students’ course satisfaction (7am community college calculus), including for students requesting accessibility accommodations. Despite the time, students find my lessons engaging and will share pictures of their work taken during class, so I can provide instant feedback to my students while they’re in class attempting problems. I started by importing textbook powerpoints and inserting clicker-style questions, but over time replaced them with my own content, which was easy to tailor to my students’ feedback. It’s easy to add wide range of media within the app, so students remain engaged while working through the lesson. Plays nice with other apps and embedding web links so you can link to existing work. Students can also make their own lessons or digital portfolios. Making lessons actually becomes fun and students feel comfortable sharing their work. It helps me build classroom community and bring in a flipped-classroom component to my lecture. Differentiation is built in because students can review and post questions or look ahead and answer other students’ posts, a typical phenomena. which helpful students often do with encouragement. I have worked with the designers along with input from lots of K-12 and college classrooms, so smart protections, distinguishing teacher work, course rosters/sections, and gradebook features give you the ability to grade many forms of participation.

### 5/5 — Fun and powerful tool for classroom collaboration and formative assessment

*2017-03-23, version 0.7.12*

Fantastic classroom app to facilitate collaboration and learning! My students have greatly benefited from using SKIES in the classroom. It is an easy-to-use, powerful, fun, and flexible tool. Works on iPads and iPhone, and has a web-based option too.

### 5/5 — Changed my classroom

*2017-03-22*

I use this app to teach everything from chemistry to ap physics c. It has changed the structure of my classroom for the better. Empowering students while enabling me to assess their interaction and learning is easy and effective. I heartily recommend. It works for light use such as making simple presentations to guiding inverted classrooms through the maze of student centered learning.

### 5/5 — Engaging and helpful teaching tool

*2017-03-22, version 0.7.12*

I've been using Skies to teach high school English and the kids enjoy the app very much. They are more engaged in the lessons and write a lot of responses. This app has helped keep my students engaged and has made English fun for all of them. The students have been giving my class high ratings and attribute my class success to Skies.

### 4/5 — Excellent with one possible improvement

*2018-04-11, version 0.8.6*

I think this app is wonderful! The only thing it lacks is notifications! Teachers and students should be given the option to turn notifications on when someone posts something, asks a question or answers a question, etc. Sometimes when there is a lot it can get hard to track who posted what where! It becomes tedious to have to tap through all the different tabs to see if there is something new posted.
