### 2/5 — Not Accurate

*2024-06-21*

This app rated three lesions I submitted as “high risk”. A resent appointment with my dermatologist revealed that none of them were of ANY concern. The app is good for tracking changes in lesions of concern. However so far, for me, has proven to be 100% inaccurate in it’s rating of lesions.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We value your experience greatly and would love to learn more to improve our overall service. Please contact us at contact@skincheck.health

### 1/5 — Dangerous and unethical

*2020-06-08, version 1.1*

I began using this for some questions able moles and was relieved that they were fine. Then I used it on a cancerous mole of my husband’s that is nothing like mine. It said the same exactly thing as mine. We started playing with it. I have taken photos of my fingernail, inanimate objects, and even my dogs fur and the all come up as the exact same type of lesion. This is dangerous and unethical to make the claim that this is an app to define skin lesions.

### 1/5 — Do not use

*2020-04-08*

It’s 99% sure that my rug does not have skin cancer. It gave multiple different answers for the same area I checked. The only way to be for sure about something is to go to the dermatologist. I do not recommend anyone go off of what this app says.

### 1/5 — Definitely fake

*2020-03-18*

I took 10 different pictures of the same area and got a different response each time. It’s basically like one of those magic 8 ball toys you could ask a question and shake then it would show you a random answer. Nothing rings true and I hate this because I really needed and wanted it to work. Please note that I gave it 10 clear pictures of the same area just so I could see if it was accurate or fake. If this was even 10% accurate then I would had gotten same response at least once. On the other hand , maybe if you are very young and want to seem cool, or you’re just bored out of your mind, then you could use this and pretend your phone can screen for cancers. Play Doctor with it? I’m struggling to find a reason to use it, sorry. :(

### 1/5 — Do not rely on this app

*2020-03-07*

Took two photos and they both gave me a diagnosis skin condition that looks nothing like what I have. Took a third photo and came back 84% cancer. Definitely not an app that you should trust with this kind of seriousness. I’ll update this with my actual diagnosis.

### 3/5 — Consistency, Reliability & Accuracy

*2020-03-04*

I’ve been using this app for months. Taking pic of same place time after time I receive different answers. One of the times I received an answer that there’s a 64% sure the mole is cancerous chance of melanoma and they’re 91% sure of that. Whaaaaat? I did same location numerous more times with different answer (no cancer). I went for a biopsy and now waiting for results. It’s great that there’s an app but it definitely needs to be more reliable.

### 5/5 — Good app

*2020-01-22*

It gave me the exact name of the mole I had! Very accurate!

### 1/5 — Completely wrong

*2020-01-17, version 1.1*

I would not use. To check any moles or skin lesions.

### 5/5 — This app literally saved my teachers life.

*2019-11-16*

I introduced this app to one of my teachers he was a bit unconvinced but then decided to try it. The results came out as skin cancer, he of course didn’t believe it so he went to get it checked out, and it turned out to be true. He got it removed before it got any worse, I am thankful we caught it early. This app is like my hero. Thank you.

### 1/5 — Apparently my quilt has cancer?

*2019-11-13*

It’s 99% sure that my quilt is a cancerous legion.

### 1/5 — Sign in options

*2026-01-08*

Don’t appreciate having to sign in using my Google account or my iPhone. Did not try the app, deleted it.

**Developer response:** Hello, thank you for your feedback. We have added email and password sign in options in our latest update. Hope that helps.

### 1/5 — Not good

*2025-12-11*

First launch it got stuck on the instructions

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We believe we have fixed your unique problem in our latest update, please contact us at contact@skincheck.health if the problem persists.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-11-30*

Took bunch of photos and it don’t help with anything. Waste of space.

### 1/5 — Idk what’s going on but

*2024-09-03*

Not even one thing worked. Any time I tried to select a “button” nothing opened. Couldn’t even get to an option to upload or take a picture. The little circle in the top corner that is supposed to take you to your account, did nothing. This app was a mess

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We believe we have fixed your unique problem in our latest update, please contact us at contact@skincheck.health if the problem persists.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t do anything

*2024-04-29*

It lets you take a picture of a lesion and manually compare the picture to pictures of skin issues found on the internet. It does not use AI to evaluate the risk of you lesion.

### 1/5 — It gave people a laugh

*2022-07-02*

I would be 94% concerning to being of no concern at all. I decided to scan my mole from birth and it was over 80% concerning. I tried a freckle and it was concerning. I took a black marker and marked my hand and it was concerning. What gave us a huge laugh was when I took a picture of my coworker face with the app as a joke and it said 94% concerning. I have deleted the app.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback,
I’m sorry you had a bad experience with the app. Please know that the AI is only expecting an image of a mole, as it can only classify concerning or non-concerning moles.

To help with this issue are pop ups that illustrate how to take a photo the AI will expect, as well as an archives page to keep track of the changes in analyses to narrow down moles over time, but it still isn’t perfect.

If you are able, please email us at contact@skincheck.health to let us know how this app could be improved!

### 1/5 — Not accurate.

*2021-07-08*

Same mole, three slightly different angles. Three different diagnoses. Could be dangerous if relied on instead of seeing doctor.

### 1/5 — Moles

*2021-03-31*

It said my mole was cancerous 97% after much stress I did my dogs head as a scan it also read that (as a non cancerous lesion) then a patch of arm with no mole still read too so this has certainly not helped me!

### 1/5 — Seriously, misdiagnosed 3 lesions, 2 potentially very serious!

*2021-02-08*

Don’t bother with this app, 99% wrong. What I know to be a Basal cell carcinoma it diagnosed as a ‘non cancerous’ melanocytic nevi (mole).
A recent scratch, with pink healing skin it diagnosed as a melanoma, 99% sure was cancerous. And 3 for 3, it actually was 99% sure an actual Melanoma was just Keratosis Polaris (non cancerous sun damage).
You take your life in your own hands using this app.

### 1/5 — Not accurate

*2020-11-18*

Not reliable, gives different results for same lesion, for different photos.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-11-07*

After years without seeing a dermatologist, I developed a painful allergy on my neck. With SkinCheck, I was able to access treatment and get my prescriptions within 24 hours. It was life-changing to get fast answers and relief after waiting so long for care.

### 5/5 — Fast turn around

*2025-10-25*

Got a bug bite on my arm and in an hour I had a diagnosis and a prescription in under an hour! Great service!!!

### 5/5 — Useful for tracking changes

*2025-03-12*

Love this app! Even without the doc advice available in other countries, it’s such a great way to track changes in lesions. So easy.
I only wish there was a ‘light version’ for the US, since there’s no point answering all the Questions. It would be great to just be able to snap and store dated photos without all the questions each time.

### 5/5 — I love using this for my dad with skin cancer

*2024-04-02*

Skin check is an app that I’ve loved using for 3 years now! Watching it grow into a full company has been amazing because I’ve believed in the vision! Keep up the hard work because me and my father who has skin cancer love to check in weekly to see when he needs to get it removed!

### 5/5 — Love the app!

*2024-01-15*

Even though my region is US so I couldn't fully use a diagnosis function I still found the AI detection and follow up options really helpful!

### 5/5 — Skin Check is a great detector

*2023-06-16*

My sister has developed several moles that looked concerning to us, before we were able to seek a dermatologist’s opinion.
That’s when we heard about Skin Check, and downloaded looking for answers. She had 8 moles at the time that looked concerning and the app flagged several of them. After waiting several weeks for an appointment, the dermatologist confirmed the exact moles that Skin Check had shown were concerning and we were able to get them removed.

Would highly recommend using if you are worried about a skin spot that looks odd. It is accurate!

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2023-05-12, version 2.4*

Super easy to use, reliable, and clean interface! Multiple people I know have detected truly dangerous moles with this app. I would gladly pay for this app. Thank you!

### 5/5 — This app is cool

*2022-07-26, version 2.0*

Now I know my moles are not cancer :)

### 5/5 — Super Accurate

*2022-05-17, version 2.0*

This app has helped me a lot by letting me test moles that have spooked me to ensure they are okay.

### 5/5 — Wow.

*2020-05-17*

This thing works. Really helpful. Many thanks to the developer!
