I keep getting the error: "Registration Failed. Please double check your info and try again." It doesn't even show why it keeps failing. I don't see the reason and so I can't register! It somehow lost the image of my tattoo and now won’t work. I’m talking with customer service about this issue but so far no resolution. Luckily my tattoo itself is an amazing design so even if it doesn’t play ever again I still love it, but since this is why I went with the soundwave tattoo idea (to actually be able to play it) I’m going to be upset if I can’t actually do that. So far not pleased. ### 1/5 — Not the actual sound wave image *2019-09-26, version 1.36* When I generated the sound wave image on skinmotion.com, the top and bottom of the sound waves are completely symmetrical. Real sound waves are not symmetrical! I work in recording and look at sound waves all the time. Anyone using this site is getting a false sound wave image. And the app is not actually “reading” the tattoo, that’s not how soundwaves work. You’re simply paying to replay the sound you already have while the app displays an animation to simulate its playing back (basically turns your tattoo into a barcode). If you want the actual sound wave image, get a recording program to view the real sound wave, and get a screenshot to your tattoo artist. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Wtf *2026-06-15, version 3.01* Got a sound wave tattoo. Love it. Then this app/company went under 7 years ago. Then out of the blue they tried to charge my card. They're not even in business. I remembered seeing something about this a few years ago and I had some voicemails from her. I spliced them together to make one sound wave and it sounds AMAZING! I had a lot of technical issues and these guys were AWESOME... they tackled every problem I had and got it working. There is just no way to ever show how grateful I am!! This tattoo and app is amazing! ❤️ ### 5/5 — Best Tatoo Ever! *2020-02-04, version 1.36* I got my Sound Wave ink on 12/29/17 from Fred Giovannitti in Lewes,DE (an absolute killer artist!!). It was touch and go for a while. I had a difficult time getting it to play. After about a week, I couldn’t get the program to read. I contacted customer service and Juliana worked with me. I had decided that even if it didn’t work again, I love what the tattoo signifies so that would be okay. However, I never gave up trying to get it to read. I even re-uploaded my picture (I have a friend with professional photography equipment). It seems that since my tattoo healed completely, it plays without fail. I LOVE THIS TATTOO! It’s my husband telling me that he loves me...I listened, or tried to listen, literally everyday for the about the first 18 months I had it. Now I listen to it once or twice a week.
