## What is SkinMirror?

SkinMirror is a one-photo-a-day skin journal that never leaves your phone.

Take a quick selfie each morning and get a friendly, honest comment about how your skin looks today — brightness, tone, texture, even the area under your eyes. Every reading is compared to your own recent average, not some generic standard, so it actually reflects you.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No accounts. No ads. No analytics. No servers. Skin analysis runs entirely on your device using Apple Intelligence (with a built-in offline fallback when it's unavailable), and even iCloud sync — if you turn it on — only ever goes to your own private iCloud account. Your photos never leave your phone unless you choose to share them yourself.

SkinMirror 1.4 fixes a real notification bug and meaningfully deepens the on-device skin analysis:

• Fixed: some people kept getting leftover routine notifications from before 1.3's consolidation, on top of the new grouped ones — every routine notification is now swept clean before rescheduling
• Multi-scale texture & tone detection — analysis now reads both broad patches and fine detail instead of a single grid size, catching variation a coarser measurement used to miss entirely
• New: a face-symmetry signal comparing how evenly lit both sides of your face are today
• New: a chin/lower-face comparison, alongside the existing forehead, cheek, and under-eye zones
• All of this is genuinely new analysis code, not a bundled AI model — everything still runs entirely on your device, nothing downloaded, nothing sent anywhere

• Richer offline readings — devices without Apple Intelligence now get the same depth of insight (personal trends, multi-day direction, today's routine) as devices with it
• Fixed: onboarding now shows correctly in all 8 supported languages, not just English and Turkish
• An independent language review found and fixed real translation issues across Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Japanese, and Korean
• New: a neutral, non-diagnostic brightness pattern by tag in Stats
• Small touches: a longer scanning animation, an easier way to leave a review, and a nudge to share your time-lapse video
