It is a slow app, not just technically but organizationally. I’ve been trying to find something like this for a WHILE! It helps break down all ingredients you’re unfamiliar with to let you know if it’s a good match by percentage. I use it for products I already own and I’d say it’s pretty accurate on the results shown and love that it helps me know if it’s good on my skin type to get the results I want and for my skin issues and for skin goals on products I’m curious and want to purchase! ### 3/5 — Decent app *2026-06-25, version 1.78* I like the app overall. I wish it provided more insights based on the products you use. But suddenly today it was showing me a completely different rating for certain products that I know for a fact matched 100% for me and I haven’t changed anything in my profile. This app is amazing if you want to find out what is best for your skin and not hurting it. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Ugh *2026-09-01, version 1.88* This app already barely worked to begin with and now the newest update has made it impossible to search with basic filters like region without upgrading. ### 1/5 — No reminders for payments *2026-08-23, version 1.88* The payment option sits in the website not the App Store and they issue no reminders that payment will be taken. When I followed up by email to get my payment details removed they have not responded. It probably is a great app but I can’t endorse such shady business practice ### 1/5 — Scammy free trial *2026-08-09, version 1.87* Free trial scam! I just wanted to try out the app. My Apple account was frozen due to lack of funds until I coughed up the $60 for a yearly subscription. When I disputed the charge with Apple I lost. I think I had tried the app already and forgotten about it. But I needed that money for food and wasn’t given a refund for something I did not use. Don’t be like me, stay away from this app. ### 1/5 — Poor *2026-07-15, version 1.83* Useful for checking suitability of specific products, although it told me a face wash was 90% suitable and then changed that to 60% a week later. As a discovery tool it’s absolutely useless. Search functionality just doesn’t work. Search for La roche-posay…no products. Search for a specific La roche-posay product and it miraculously appears. Use filters to search for a moisturiser with spf…. no products, yet searching by exact name finds loads. Really shoddy stuff, made worse by the fact I did a week’s free trial because it said I would be notified before being billed for the year. Was I? No I wasn’t. Stuck with a £50 ineffective app now. ### 1/5 — Deleted My Review *2026-07-09, version 1.81* So I recently made a review because I noticed that the Amazon product linked was a fake and recommended people to buy from the official store and in three minutes of me publishing the deleted so it feels like this company is making money through commission through their links and it’s not transparent with the customers/reviewers. ### 1/5 — Worst app ever *2026-06-26, version 1.79* The app asks to do a free trial when you open it up for the first time. Personally, I did not find this app useful so I deleted it but I forgot that it would charge me after the trial is over. I tried to get a refund through Apple as soon as I saw the charge but apparently this app is not eligible for refunds so now I’m stuck with a $60 charge on something that I will never use. ### 1/5 — Does not show routine conflicts *2026-06-15, version 1.76* I really really, really wanted to like this app, however it does not show conflicts between products in your routine as you choose what to apply every day. I prefer an active notification to let me know when I shouldn’t combine different products in the same routine. They market they will give you assistance in building a regimen when they just share dupe options for what you’re already using. ### 1/5 — Overpriced Search Engine *2026-04-26, version 1.73* I really wanted to like SkinSort, but it ended up being a disappointment. The app feels like a stripped-down search engine. It’s less useful than just looking things up on Google or even browsing Reddit, where you get a wider range of users’ experiences and opinions. One of the biggest issues is how misleading it is about creating a “routine.” That feature is either extremely limited or just not actually functional in a meaningful way. I expected something personalized and helpful, but it didn’t deliver. There’s also no consideration for budget when suggesting products, which makes the recommendations feel out of touch and impractical. For something that’s paid, I expected a lot more value and usability. Overall, it feels overpriced for what it offers, and I honestly regret paying for it. It’s well fined tuned to you and not just fearmongering. Very scientific. You can learn a lot about the ingredients in your product and about your own skin and log routines. Helps break down the sea of misinformation and confusion, as a teen with skin issues and no derm. Unfortunately, quite a few features are behind a pay wall but this app has helped me so much even as a non premium user. I give it 5 as it couldn’t really get much better.Things like comparing products, finding dupes, and all sorts to do with actually targeting your own problem. The subscription isn’t the worst price when on its constant offer, with 20 yearly! Also can get a week free and get one month for just £4 on offer. I have like no money but I think it would be good to buy rather than waste money on products not for you. Developers are also super responsive and interactive, constantly taking feedback and changing this app for the better. AMAZING. ### 5/5 — Best Skincare app *2026-07-30, version 1.85* I love this app! I’ve submitted so many products here, got so many information about different ingredients (and all scientific based, not the crazy “ITS CHEMICALS DONT USE” stuff like in the other apps), and also met amazing community 🥲 But please please please, add the iPad Support. There’s thousands of products, hundreds of different skin types and combinations, dermatologists are expensive, skinfluencers can lie and promote scams, and it can be so daunting you don’t even know where to start. When googling certain products, skin sort consistently came up as the top result with tons of helpful information. I finally caved and got the app and it helped SO MUCH to find products that work for me. I have fungal acne, psoriasis, and sensitive skin.
