### 5/5 — Skip dating cards

*2024-05-30*

I love the idea of the skip dating cards! It actually gave me to courage to go up to a stranger and ask him on a date. I didn’t need to give him my phone number or social media to plan the date, which made made me feel safer about approaching him. Now we are in a relationship and very happy all thanks to skip! 🥰

### 3/5 — Uhh

*2024-03-18, version 3.6.1*

When I was creating my profile, I clicked I want I like I want I’ll pass the standards questions. I’m not sure if that’s limiting my options though, maybe people like me but barely anyone uses this app!

### 3/5 — Uses iPhone camera when it shouldn’t

*2024-02-14*

So far I haven’t used this app enough to get a sense of it. But a word of caution — notice that green dot at the top of your screen? This app uses your iPhone camera while you’re scrolling. It’s literally spying on you.

Easy way to turn it off is to head to Settings and turn off camera access after you do the profile verification.

**Developer response:** Hi, thanks for sharing your feedback. Just to clarify, Skip does not use or access your camera while you’re scrolling. The green dot you noticed only appears during the one-time profile verification step when you choose to confirm your identity with a selfie. We take privacy and safety very seriously and want to reassure you that Skip does not spy on users while they scroll with their camera.

Best regards,
The Skip Team

### 2/5 — Not thought out too well

*2024-01-28*

First off, whoever designed theUI/UX for this app, should be fired. In an attempt to [what I can only imagine is] to be different than other apps, Skip has hit multiple blunders.
Whereas EVERY other app is designed in a way that when you swipe up to view more information about someone you’re potentially interested in, Skip says “no, let’s make that action pass on someone” lol. Why?
Secondly, a HUGE part of connecting on dating apps is chatting and making sure your potential date is not a RAGING LUNATIC first before meeting then in person. Skip has forgot an important step in establishing compatibility in an attempt to sidestep…ghosting? The whole premise is “can’t get ghosted if you never chat”. It’s silly.

### 3/5 — Some questions need work

*2024-01-20*

Update: Children question was updated with more options. Also fixed type of relationship wanted. Still open is Marital status being missing. I raised my review one star, since I have not been able fully use the app yet- there is no one nearby to match with. Thanks! ********* Original review: The type of relationship wanted and children questions have some big holes. Not everyone wants marriage or casual combined with long term. All three should be separate or allow multiple choices. “have kids - don’t want more” should be written as “have kids, would welcome partners children” or additional children be a separate question that allows for single parent reality. Also, no marital status field. I will want to know if someone if never married, separated, divorced or widowed.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback! We've addressed the issues you mentioned in our latest update. Please reconsider your review score. Your input matters, and we're dedicated to making the app better. Thank you for being a valued member of our community!

### 2/5 — Disappointed on launch day.

*2024-01-15*

I personally loved the idea, For many reasons… but the wait for it to launch was disappointing. It’s possible it’s early on, but there seems to be many older women on there. Almost like ex moms. Nothing wrong with that, but it just shows there are not many users yet. The whole no swiping is fine, but scrolling down is the same thing imo. The bad thing about launching and it just being mediocre after all the hype will show a lot of ppl abandon the app. I’ll give it a month and see how things progress. But whoever made the business decision to launch before gaining lots of users messed up, imo. What is the parent about ? That was overhyped too

**Developer response:** Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We're actively working on improving the app based on feedback. We appreciate your patience and hope you'll see positive changes in the coming month. If you have specific suggestions, feel free to reach out to at info@skip.dating.

### 4/5 — Message to developers

*2024-01-15, version 3.5.6*

If you have your phone set to larger fonts you can not set the birth date

### 1/5 — Horrible matches

*2024-01-15, version 3.5.6*

The app supposedly matches you to people that are compatible. Each one was out of my age range that I chose and distance. That one person that they chose would be compatible with me

### 1/5 — New launch no one in 25 miles

*2024-01-15*

They said this app was new, but there are reviews from a year ago none of which say that they met someone. I know a lot of other people from a different area of the state that downloaded the app but the app will only show me my area which doesn’t have enough people to launch.

**Developer response:** We appreciate your feedback. For any additional concerns, please contact our customer support team info@skip.dating. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

### 5/5 — Deal breaker questions are Awesome!!

*2024-01-14, version 3.5.6*

Such a cool and neat app! I love the concept of the deal breakers. And great job updating the app to separate long term relationships from marriage.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Customer Service Does Not Respond

*2024-10-28, version 3.6.3*

I have contacted customer support three times inquiring about safety issues and have received no response from them.

### 1/5 — Still nothing 4 months in

*2024-05-22*

I downloaded this over 4 months ago and it just tells me skip is still growing in my area. However, if I drive 70 miles it’ll show me people that are closer to my home but on the other side of the direction I drive. Make it make sense that it’s still growing but I can see people in my area if I leave my area.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work…

*2024-03-27*

Disappointed in this app. Have reached out for help several times, and although I get a response, the problems aren’t being fixed.
I liked the concept, but so far it’s been disappointing and cumbersome to use.

### 1/5 — I can’t login

*2024-02-27, version 3.6.1*

I’m in Ghana and it’s not working for me why

### 1/5 — Seemed good, then pop

*2024-02-11*

Yeah, found a match then the confirm function is too small. So our date was scheduled for the morning, however, an eight hour window isn’t so functional! Twelve would be nice! The three hour before cut off should be reasonable, yet, a morning date makes that a bit difficult to make if you’re not expecting to have to make it that early.

Overall, a little more information about that expectation would have made it easier to ensure confirming and meeting…

### 1/5 — Poor UI/UX. No one on the app

*2024-02-11, version 3.6.1*

I get their new but there's almost no one on this app. Then, the few who were, I accidentally deleted them because you scroll up to delete. Up, lol... I think every app in the world you scroll up to see more. Very poor experience.

### 1/5 — Very disappointing waiting for my city to launch

*2024-02-08*

My guess is that they need 100 people before they launch a city. I was one of the first people to sign up and it’s been months now. One day it goes up to 55% then down to 52. Then up to 56 and down to 55. I’m at 64% now, so it will likely be months before my city launches. People likely sign up, then with no options they delete their profile. I’m no longer interested. Lost my enthusiasm for the concept. And now I think the naysayers about the concept may be right.

### 1/5 — I asked

*2024-01-26, version 3.6.0*

You didn’t deliver. Phone will accept my name but when you get to the next frame phone freezes can’t input birthdate. Not impressed.

### 1/5 — Discriminates Puerto Rico s

*2024-01-18, version 3.6.0*

Unable to sign up do to my area code. Thank you.

### 1/5 — New and not working

*2024-01-17*

I love the concept of this, so I signed up right away but I can’t figure out how to use it. UC profiles and you don’t know what to do if you swipe one way you see more information but then you can’t get back to the other screen. you’ll see several profiles of different men on the scrolling screen but once you go to one, then all the others disappear and you can never get back to them. I think they should have developed this much more before releasing it because it’s not working.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Safer

*2026-05-27*

I am very thankful that there’s finally a dating app that provides background checks for the men I’m looking at dating. It makes me feel safer.

### 5/5 — Love the concept

*2025-04-01, version 3.6.8*

Finally someone got it right

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2025-02-01*

This is a new approach to dating and match matching! It’s a very straightforward process that gets me excited to go on dates to venues I’ve never been before. It’s a 10/10 for me!

**Developer response:** Hi Sad_Pisces_Princess,

We’re so glad to hear you’re enjoying the Skip experience! It means a lot that you find the process simple and exciting. We can’t wait for you to keep discovering new venues and going on more great dates. Thanks for sharing your 10/10 with us!

Best,
The Skip Team

### 5/5 — Save time, less ghosting

*2024-12-20*

The app makes it super easy to set up in-person dates with people you’re compatible with!

### 5/5 — great app

*2024-06-09, version 3.6.2*

i love this dating app! my favorite part is that you can easily find people with your same interests. i love the security and safety that comes along with it as well. super awesome!

### 5/5 — Best current dating app

*2024-06-06*

Are you trying to date or have pen pals? I’ve been on EVERY DATING app without success, i’ve had 2 dates on Skip and have already began the stages to exclusivity whereas guys on other apps clearly care more about volume opposed to actual connections.

### 5/5 — My dream dating app!

*2024-06-05, version 3.6.2*

I am a HUGE fan of this app! I am someone who loves to go on dates but I don’t love the endless ghosting and dead-end conversations I encounter, so this app is like a breath of fresh air for me. I used to find myself asking for date propositions in my bios on other apps (which everybody ignored!) so this app being date proposition forward is so awesome. Thank you skip for encouraging actual dates on a dating app!!!!

### 5/5 — Gives me HOPE!

*2024-06-05*

This app is a breath of fresh air in the dating app sphere- it’s the only dating app that I feel like really pushes people to meet in real life and “skip” all the small talk, ghosting and drama. I’ve used the free Skip dating cards to ask out guys in public without having to give them my personal information which is such a smart thing to keep safe these days :)

### 5/5 — Amazing app.

*2024-06-05*

As someone whose main concern is safety, I love the premise of this app! For the app recently being released, I am extremely impressed at how well the app is working. Anytime I will have friends or family that are dating, I will always recommend that they use this app!

### 5/5 — I honestly love it

*2024-06-05*

This is such a great idea and once more people get on it it’s going to be bigger than all of the other dating apps. I’ve only been on it a little while but I think it works great!
