## What is SkipAlarm?

Your alarm should know when you have the day off.

SkipAlarm wakes you when you need it — and lets you sleep in when you don’t. Set your alarm, choose your region, and let public holidays and vacations take care of themselves. No more switching alarms off the night before a holiday and forgetting to turn them back on.

WAKE UP FOR WORK. SLEEP IN ON DAYS OFF.

• Skip public holidays automatically based on your country and region.
• Add vacations and individual days off to pause your alarms.
• Need to get up on a day off? Add an extra alarm day.
• Choose a different region for each alarm — ideal if you live and work across borders.
• See upcoming alarms and skipped days at a glance.
• Use Siri and Shortcuts to skip tomorrow’s alarms or refresh your schedule.

MADE FOR YOUR REGION

Includes holiday calendars for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Choose your state, canton, or UK nation where available. US coverage includes federal holidays; regional and company-specific days off can be added manually.

A PROPER ALARM

Alarms ring even in Silent mode and with Focus enabled. Choose your weekdays and snooze duration to make mornings work for you.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

No account. No tracking. Your alarm settings stay on your iPhone.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.3 — 2026-10-27

What's new in version 1.3

Pause until further notice
Sick or off for a while? Pause all alarms with one tap, with Siri, or with a Focus. No end date needed. Each evening before a skipped alarm, SkipAlarm reminds you, and you can resume your alarms right from the notification. Pausing is available during the free trial or with Pro.

Heads-up the evening before
If an alarm is skipped tomorrow, rings at a different time, or rings on an extra day, SkipAlarm tells you the evening before: “No alarm tomorrow – Christmas Day.” On regular days, it stays quiet. You can turn the heads-up off in Settings.

Traveling
Alarms can now ring at home time, for example for a call with your team back home, with the local time shown below. After a change of time zone, you see right away when your next alarm rings and what time it will be at home. Alarms that are already scheduled now reliably follow the new local time.

Alarms for every rhythm
Besides weekdays, alarms can now repeat every few weeks, follow rotations for shift work, every other day, or custody schedules, or ring just once and turn off afterwards. Templates like “2 on, 2 off” and “Add Another Shift” make setup quick, and a preview shows the next days.

Bridge days
The Vacations tab suggests bridge days. One tap, and your alarm stays off.

Widget, Control Center, and Siri
The “Next Alarm” widget for the Home Screen and Lock Screen shows your next alarm and skipped days. “Skip Tomorrow” is available in Control Center, on the Lock Screen, and for the Action button. With Siri and Shortcuts, skip a day, add a vacation, turn alarms on or off, or ask for your next alarm.

Great on iPad
Alarms as cards like in the Clock app, split views, menu bar commands, keyboard shortcuts, and multiple selection. Vacations and days off have their own tab, grouped into current, planned, and past.

Also
Home time and UTC next to alarm times, country flags, years shown for dates outside the current year, undo for deleting, and many small improvements.

### 1.2 — 2026-10-24

What's New in SkipAlarm 1.2

Change the time for a single day
Need to be up an hour earlier on Tuesday for a business trip? Tap any day in Upcoming to set a different time just for that day. All other days keep your regular alarm time.

More countries
Public holidays are now available for Poland, Finland, Czechia, Mexico, Iceland, Slovenia, Croatia, South Africa, Greece (including Orthodox Easter), Slovakia, Hungary, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Brazil, Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia.

More school holidays
School holidays are now supported for Italy, Spain, Liechtenstein and 19 Swiss cantons.

One-off public holidays
Special holidays, such as one-time national holidays, are now added automatically.

Improvements

• The alarm editor now shows your repeat days as text, like "Weekdays" or "Every Friday", and is laid out more like the Clock app.
• Shorter and longer snooze intervals.
• The vacation editor shows a summary, warns before discarding changes, and lets you delete a vacation.
• Clearer Upcoming view: the next alarm is highlighted, and long-pressing an entry offers quick actions.
• Past holidays and school holidays are dimmed.
• Easier country selection with search.
• A per-alarm holiday region is now easier to set and see.
• Clearer alarm permission status.
• Fixed missing holidays in Switzerland and Spain.
• Translation improvements.

### 1.1 — 2026-10-23

What's new in version 1.1

Automatically skip school holidays
Your alarms can now take a break during school holidays, too. Available for Germany, Austria, Luxembourg, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Portugal. Choose your school region or grade level and enable the feature for each alarm. School holidays also appear under “Region & Holidays.” Skipping is available during the free trial or with Pro. School holidays for the Azores and Madeira are not yet supported.

Public holidays in 22 countries
New calendars include Australia, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, and Sweden.

Six new languages
SkipAlarm now also speaks French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese (Portugal), Japanese, and Korean.

A fresh look
Onboarding and the Pro purchase screen have been redesigned with clearer cards, easier-to-find purchase options, and improved layouts for large text sizes. You can now find the app version and build number in Settings.

More reliable every day
The interface stays more responsive while updating alarms. Setup no longer gets stuck when a system permission prompt fails to appear. Between midnight and 4 a.m., “Skip tomorrow” now targets the upcoming morning. Previously scheduled alarms are also preserved if the local data store temporarily cannot be opened.
