A few more pen options and the ability to turn off the annoying transparency while drawing would go a long way! ### 5/5 — The last basic photo editor you’ll look for *2023-01-06* Can open from the edit option in pictures or thru the app directly. Does arrows, boxes, lines, text, blur sensitive details, and can easily adjust what has been done. Multiple color options so it stands out on any background…. I could go on. I’ve used this app for years and cannot count the number of times it’s come in handy for personal or work use. Some notes on other review topics: -You have to deselect the edit you are doing or it thinks your still working on it and won’t save that. -there is no baby sitting tutorial on how to work it, but it’s not rocket science. I hang my head on how some people cannot figure out basic things like this on their own. Touch an option, pick a color, touch the screen, drag and release. Practice with all the tools and figure out the little differences. The only “sneaky” thing is the option to outline text by touching the letter on the text box. -don’t think it’s ever crashed on me throughout the years of use, but honestly I never open the app directly. I select edit options on the photo I want to edit and select Skitch for my editor option. ### 1/5 — Can’t write anything *2022-11-29, version 3.4.1* I’m so angry. The writing tool is extremely laggy and barely works. Please don’t waste your money on this crap. Absolutely ridiculous. ### 1/5 — Used to be a good way of labelling my photos but not any more. *2025-03-26, version 3.4.1* This used to be aa good and easy way to add a descriptive title to my photos when embedded in the iPad Photo app. However now it no longer works directly from Photos. One has to import photo into Skitch in order to annotate. However when saving back to Photos it provides only an annotated copy with a new date and no camera info. Now it is totally obtuse, apparently part of evernote (which I also use) I want to add notes to an existing photo not add a photo to an evernote note - and I want to do this with the photos I select without giving permission to skitch to access all 1,200 of my photos. No clue how to do that, no clue how to do anything, no menus, no anything, no hints, no “intuitive”interface, just a blank screen. I’ve run out of patience & time trying to guess. It shows us how needed this feature was and it went viral. Then…. I don’t know what happened. Maybe they sell the app or change the work team, but between those lines this app became useless. Maybe getting rid of the subscription and selling features will be better for them, but I don’t see this app getting stronger anytime soon.
