Otherwise this app is amazing! **Developer response:** Hi! Sorry to hear this. Please double check if your samples are 16-bit WAV files. I’m from the 80s era of scratching and this feels intuitive and easily able to implement instant ideas on the fly. What’s needed is connectivity to Audiobus , further updates on beat tracks .. great choices btw , and more sound sets .. they are very good and I’m excited for updates . Please however, add a few things… *2024-04-02* Please please please: 1 - AUv3 support is a must for serious musician tools today. 2 - leftie-interface toggle is a must too! I know we are only 10% of the population, but most proficient scratchers use TWO tables or more, and hence this is needed more than just for “us lefties”. Plus, should be relatively simple to add…! 3 - would love if it could take a buffer that is being filled live (that is, loading this as an AUv3 effect processor, which has a buffer for incoming audio which in turn we can scratch (even if the audio is fed live), naturally this would mean you can’t “go forward” from the point the buffer is currently at, but it would still be nice to be able to do back-scratches on stuff that is happening “in real time”). Please do consider these options, I see this app is getting traction but honestly I’ve been waiting forever for a tool like this, but one that is an AUv3. Also can you make it auv3 compatible so we can use it inside apps such as AUM or loopy pro. Tried shutting down and everything. **Developer response:** Hey, sorry to hear this. The app accepts custom samples as long as they are wav files, recorded in 16-bit, stereo format. If you hear silence or noise in your imported sounds than most probably the file format is different. We a decent short on youtube regarding the import, called "skratch it how to import custom samples" that we can recommend you to watch if you still give it a try :-) ### 1/5 — Trash *2025-02-20* Abandoned **Developer response:** Hello, sorry to read this. The latest version of the app was released about 10 months ago. Can you explain why do you consider the product as abandoned? ### 2/5 — Pitch? *2024-03-21* The vinyl moves too fast,! How low can you go sample plays the same speed no matter what bpm the beat is on… Where is the pitch slider….its a turntable it needs pitch please dev …also when pulling back on the vinyl it often doesnt want to go back far and fast enough which is why it will not allow a backspin…so sticking to a perticular sample is alot of work as it just keeps going forward to much to catch the sample..also i would like the vinyl under my left hand x fader under right hand so maybe a flip screen i dont like having to use apps upside down! This app has potential the preset x fader movements are ok some are a bit useless or just hard to use in a practical way.. Having to convert any sample i use to 16 bit 4f hz is a bit tedious every thing is 24 bit 48now… come on dev you can make this better ### 4/5 — Looking Foward to the Update *2026-03-27* I have four issues with Skratch it. [1] Importing files is inconvenient. I have to copy files into the Skratch it folder in the Files app every time. It would be much better if I could import files directly from within the app. [2] Only supporting 16-bit, 44.1 kHz WAV files is very limiting. I have to convert files using another app, which is inconvenient. [3] It does not support AUv3. [4] Recording is cumbersome. Every time I want to record, I have to open the menu, check the recording status, close the menu, and then start playback to begin recording. This workflow is not user-friendly. These four issues make the app less efficient to use. On the other hand, if these points were improved, it would become an excellent app. I would even be willing to pay double the current price, or pay for additional features as in-app purchases (at a reasonable price). Of course, there are many good aspects as well. In particular, I appreciate that it is a one-time purchase. It is definitely a valuable app. ### 4/5 — real nice app, but some features missing *2026-02-10* I really like this app, but it would be almost perfect if it supported MIDI. Otherwise, a few minor things like support for longer samples and interchangeable beats would be fantastic. Great work so far! ### 4/5 — Dope ish *2025-11-16* So this app is ill. Importing your own samples is amazing, however they need to be either recorded or converted before rhey actually load, which forced me to purchase another app to do so. So now i have to record it in another app, export it, import it to the converter app, convert it, then export it, then load it into scratchit. So its a pain in the ayeeee. But, being able to scratch, digitally, on an iphone or ipad is truly cool. I sure hope they up the format to the default ios recording format, because ios will not even record the only format it reads. Kind of shooting itself in the foot, imo. Truly a dope app though and i hope it gets better, which is why i purchased and support it. ### 4/5 — Awesome! *2025-07-13* I hope it has an update for auv3 AND midi mapping! To be able to use with a midi controller for more actual feel, midi map the fader cut buttons knobs and platter 🙏😁✌️ ### 4/5 — There’s a lot to love about this *2025-04-04* …but a few things are missing for this to be the best scratch dj app. The good: Skratch presets….cant say enough regarding how awesome and realistic they are. The ability to load your own samples sets this apart from the other apps in a big way. Being able to record both beat and scratches is great but to be able to record scratches only even with a beat playing is what makes this a valuable tool for creation The bad: it would have been nice to be able to upload our own beats. It also would have been great to create or load different scratch patterns besides the ones already there. The import function for samples is not user friendly and it is annoying that the sample must be 16bit 44.1 kHz wav file format otherwise it won’t get recognized. If you could do something about those things, that’d be awesome. ### 4/5 — Great app! *2025-01-10* I love this app! The fader settings are so dope! Thank you for updating it to 8 seconds sample time. I dint even need it to be Auv3 as I'll never need to save the state of the turntable. I do wish I could work in split screen. The ability to change the pitch would make this perfect. Je retrouve vraiment des sensations similaires aux platines réels avec évidemment une simplification du crossfader, sinon ça serait ingérable. Now, i understand it’s all digital but the app makes you feel like you’re doing a great job. There’s loads of ways to convert sounds on your phone with other apps to make it a wav file. I’m looking forward to using this to scratch over my own beats. I’ve got an SP404mk2 with audio jack plugged into the external. And I have a nice fun portable little setup and this right here is my final piece of the puzzle.
