The only thing that could make it better is being able play with up to 10 or possibly 12 players. We play with the whole family and we have to keep score the old fashion way with the paper score cards which is tedious. We have even played with 2 decks. The app really spoils you because it is so easy.

This add is easy to use and does a great job!  I’ve been looking for one for awhile and it is perfect!  I would request that for the bonus scoring a +5 or -5 option be allowed with the new expansion 7 or 8 cards which have those bonuses.

So I’ve tried out a bunch of the different apps out there to speed up my Skull King scoring. This one is easily the best and my favorite. It’s easy to use, clean, and intuitive. Not a bunch of fluffy “pirate font” and no need to scroll up and down each round to add information. all on one, easy to read screen, I also like that they are continuing to make improvements to the app, they are also very quick to respond to feedback. I emailed them a request for an improvement and it was pushed out in an update the next day! Just know that as a free app it will occasionally ask for a tip. After a lot of additional app use the prompts to tip got more frequent. In the end I decided to pay the relatively small tip suggestion to kill the requests. Normally this would have bothered me but as I use the app a lot and as I really do like it, I decided it was worth a few bucks to say thanks to the developers. Anyway, five stars, keep up the great work!

Latest update added Harry the Giant icon next to the Kraken. The Kraken used to be pressable multiple times, which worked for scoring a game where you play with Grey Beard. Now you can only click it once. There is no way to score a 2 player game where Grey Beard is included.

Thank you for pointing this out. We have fixed this issue and the old Kraken functionality will be 'resurrected' in version 3.8 of the app. This version is awaiting in final review by Apple and we expect it will be released around May 15.

I love that a computer can do all the math for me. But it needs a button for Harry the Giant to adjust a bid instead of having me back up a screen to adjust a bid.

We were not aware of Harry the Giant (apparently in Europe we have slightly different rules of the game). It is implemented in version 3.7 of the app which should be released very soon (around May 6, 2025)

When playing with a big group of 8 players you can only have a maximum of 8 tricks in a round but when you reach round 9/10 on the app it needs you to score 9 and 10 tricks which isn’t possible. I couldn’t be bothered to score the game manually so I just played 8 rounds adding the functionality to change how many tricks are possible in each round would be great.

Also had the similar issue when playing 2 players as you’re supposed to play with a ghost player but this wasn’t really a problem because we could just add the ghost player into the app

Our 6 year old understands this game so well and asks us to play all the time! We play with the advanced cards and it’s super fun!! By the time we get to round 8, everyone is pretty tapped out so I’m glad there’s an option to only do 8 rounds. 
It’s fun for adults and kids!!

This used to be a good app, but now it asks for money after every single round. I can understand once per game but 10 times per game is a little unnecessary. Especially when it blocks use of the app for 60 seconds each time. It’s definitely not a way to get my money, that’s for sure.

**Developer response:** This app does not spy on you (no tracking, no data storage, no profiling) it does not serve ads to you, you can download it for free and use it as long as you like. The developers are indeed real people who need some money to live and ask for a fair payment once you have used the app many times. We feel this is a very good deal and you are free to stop using the app if you do not like it.

Fairly easy to use app once you get used to it. The problem though is that the points allowed to eat trick taken is +10, it’s supposed to be +20 for each trick taken. Otherwise, a great app.

My game has never been easier ever since I got this app! What used to be following the grueling guidelines in the book and taking ages to figure out the score is now a simple ‘click’ ‘click’ BOOM - the results!

This app is awesome and very helpful to play this game our family loves!  I honestly couldn’t imagine keeping score by paper anymore, as this is so much more efficient and makes the game more fun as I can focus on the play rather than the scoring.  They let you try it for a few times for free and then ask for a tip, but the tip is very minimal (a few dollars).  I’m cheap and I tipped the high-end because it is worth it, and frankly the work they put into making this app deserves the reward.  If you play Skull King, this is a must have!

The biggest difficulty of skull king (especially for new players) is the complicated scoring, and this app makes the entire learning and gameplay process seamless! Built-in UI checks ensure that you’re logging the correct number of tricks per round, and the scores are easy to read and reference at any time. My one suggestion is to make it possible in Rascal scoring for each player to declare Grapeshot or Cannonball, rather than it being a fixed choice for all players across the game. Thank you so much for developing this app!

My mother got this for us to play before my brother and I went abroad January of 2025. We have played this game nonstop ever since, it is so addicting. I totally recommend buying the card game we have like 5 different skull king decks. ALSO the expansion pack which makes the game even more fun and interesting.

Soooooo helpful!! Makes scoring the game so much more simple! Paper scoring is way too complex and this makes it super easy. Love this app!
