Lots of times it can take you 30+ tries to get the stat you want. Also, it has become very difficult to farm Theonites after the update. I was able to play this long because many of the updates they’ve done made it more friendly to play. You know how most mobile games need you to pay money to recharge and continue playing? Skullgirls used to be that way, but not anymore. Well, actually maybe yet again they are that way. The recent update put recharges behind a paywall. Maybe it’s because their gacha system is not profitable. If you like gacha just for pulling characters, it’s satisfying. But imagine finally pulling the character you want, spending hours (or money!) on them, only for them to be nerfed. It’s understandable that some fighters may need to be nerfed because of things overlooked in testing, but this game has quite heavy nerfs on fighter pass variants. Will this game make your long boring bus ride more fun? Yes. (Though the most recent update might affect how long you can actually play). Will it also rage bait you almost daily? Yes. It’s absolutely ridden with bugs and updates that no one asked for. But the newest update? it’s somehow made the game worse than it already was. They’ve reduced rewards from dailies, prize fights, daily/guild ops, guild rewards.. you get the point. They’ve basically made it barely playable for f2p players and are making it harder and harder for you to not spend money. Me and many other players are extremely upset about this horrible update, and I don’t think I’ll be playing again until I get news of something changing.
