Personally cockpit view is not my cup of tea (as with any game involving a vehicle). What about setting up future games in different theaters of war? Like a Hellcat or Corsair I’m the Pacific, a Warhawk in China, a Spitfire or Hurricane or Britain or an ME-109G in Germany? You cannot turn your head, bullets are unlimited, you don't lead your target your plane heals up damage it is practically impossible to change altitude, etc. etc. You get the idea. You must fly the same mission multiple times even after you win it because there is some arbitrary time requirement between missions. The AI Pilots are either total rookies or killer aces. You can't perform an Immelmann! In joy stick mode it is impossible to see all the threats due to finger placement. The briefings scroll by too fast to read and are written in poor English. And worst of all you cannot buy the full version even you wanted to. On a positive note the graphics are good. ### 1/5 — App shuts down *2016-03-11, version 3.0* I wanted to buy the app, but decided to try the free version to make sure it wasn't a piece of crap.. Guess what?? It is a piece of crap. The app shuts down before you can even play. Pull your head out...fix the app, you stupid little men!!! ### 2/5 — Great potential hampered by poor execution *2018-08-29, version 3.0* I love the idea of WW1 dogfighting and the historic implications. This game comes pretty close to fitting into a niche with very little competition but falls short because of some serious flaws. The most painful flaw that is a deal breaker for me, is that you cannot roll completely. No barrel rolls, no loops etc. these are essential dogfighting techniques. Also no rudder control, no altitude or speed indicator and the engine sounds exactly the same at 0 throttle as it does at 100% power. At least fix the engine sounds, beyond just changing during a dive. Hearing the rpms is a dogfighters queue for being in sync with their aircraft performance during fights where your eyes need to be glued to the enemy in the sky. ### 3/5 — Falls short of potential *2018-04-27, version 3.0* There is so much POTENTIAL for a better gaming experience. Of course it’s nowhere near “Realistic”, (see 1st review of app for more deets on that), but small improvements could add so much more. The never ending ammo and self repairing engine don’t bother me so much. It’s not having an altimeter, never running into a “hard deck”, and not being able to loop or at least be rewarded with more maneuverable planes and weaponry that eventually makes this game boring and repetitive. Even adding a couple of “strafing” levels would perk it up a little. These same issues seem to plague the paid version from reviews of that app so a purchase from this guy seems highly unlikely. ### 3/5 — Promising but flawed *2018-01-20, version 3.0* The game has nice, fairly smooth graphics and decent sound. However, it’s currently hobbled by an unrealistic flight model, rendering the game as just eye candy. Planes of this era were notoriously easy to induce stall/spin, which should be a critical game element. Also need to add rudder controls, adjustable views, autotargeting/visual tracking, multiplayer, and options for limited ammo, sun glare/clouds (to mask an attack), etc. If these issues can fixed, you have a potential winner here. ### 3/5 — Good, but... *2017-11-06, version 3.0* Getting this free “lite” version was nice. Game plays great on my iphone 7. The only two complaints... the two missing stars... is that you have to wait HOURS between each mission. 5 minutes to play a mission. Wait 4 to 5 hours. Play another mission. Repeat for twenty missions... The second complaint is that it urges you to purchase the unlocked version. But guess what? The unlocked version is “not available in your country” (USA). And life goes on. ### 4/5 — Idea for a update *2021-10-20, version 3.0* I love this game but there are a few down sides. I have noticed that when in a mission ur ally planes will fly into u and this will kill u and end the mission. I have also notice that there is only a first person I would ask that u make a third person in the settings so if u don’t want first u can change it to third.
