## What is Sky City Freefall?

Sky City:  A vast vertical metropolis, stretching from ground level to low-earth-orbit, held within an airtight forcefield.

Hazing:  Highly competitive, highly dangerous, highly illegal - skydiving the length of the support towers, racing to the bottom.

Tower Defence:  Armed police drones, dedicated to vaporising anything which might endanger the structure.


Experience a vertigo-inducing drop of almost two hundred miles, kept safe by nothing more than quick reflexes and a parachute.  Gameplay is simple - tilt your device to weave through the platforms and bridges, dodge the incoming fire from the defence forces, then hit the “Dive” button to build up even more speed.  If you reach the bottom, your ‘chute will open automatically.

Choose from 3 levels of play - a solo practice dive from just 6 miles up, a mid-level race from 47 miles, or “The Ultimate”, jumping from the city’s low-earth-orbit launch platform, a dizzying 198 miles high.  Make it to the bottom in one go, or hit the pause button to save your position for later.

The long space high skydive idea is cool, the fast flying fall... Cool... The random bad guys that shoot you, you can't dodge... You just die... Random when, not a skill thing... You are doing this crazy skydive and you get blown up ... Also the tablet leaning thing... Cool but it seems inverted for the y axis... Otherwise this would of been fun diving throu the neat towering city thing I. This game, ah well... It's junk sadly... I wanted money on it.. Tried it... Now I wish I didn't buy it. I grabbed his lunar lander and that is looking pretty sorry but I'm going to give it another go before I write about it ... But this game.. Don't bother

Addictive game, I can still see buildings rushing past whenever I close my eyes after playing.  Worth a punt if you ever wondered what skydiving/BASE jumping a building 6 miles above the earth might be like. (For me, highly likely to end in death, but I'll keep trying).

### 1.4 — 2023-07-20

New elements added to the city structure.  Also incoming defence force fire is easier to see (and therefore evade).  Player damage level is also now shown on screen.

The "Dive" button is now more visible - press it to dive headfirst at greater speeds, then release it to slow down for tighter turns (you can switch between press-and-hold and press-to-toggle in the settings).

And finally, new gameplay music has been added.

This version sees changes to both the gameplay and the interface.

Firstly, “Sky City” itself - the structure is now denser, so you’ll have a challenging time weaving through the gaps at top speed. For the toughest parts, turn the dive mode off to slow down, then turn it on again to pick up speed once you’re through. And remember you can hit the pause button at any time to save the game and resume later.

Secondly, players are now more resistant to gunfire, so you’ll need to be hit more times before you’re killed. However you’ll still die if you take enough damage; the projectiles are aimed to hit, and the ones coming your way have been aimed at you personally. Once fired they are unguided though - when you see the explosions start, weave aggressively to avoid the space they were aimed at.

Thirdly there is now a settings screen accessible from the main menu.  Here you can set the tilt direction required to fly up and down the screen, and also set how the “Dive” button works: press and hold to dive (as before) or single press to toggle dive mode on & off.
