Plus qu’une super lunette astronomique, mais tout un observatoire, toute la science et l’université sur un écran, et, tout l’univers à la portée de notre intelligence. Merveilleuse application. Merci!

### 4/5 — Almost perfect

*2026-08-22, version 12.2.2*

The app is wonderful, shows u where a variety of things are in the sky and is easy to use. Only complaint is that the super sky guide shows stuff that others apps can show for free. Still the best app

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2026-08-16, version 12.2.2*

I am a total amateur and love learning what I’m looking at in the sky. This app doesn’t wreck your night vision. It shows the names of stars and constellations, both in the sky above and what’s below the horizon/ behind the mountains.

Love this app. Love to know what star or planet is the first up. I loved the one time payment option. I wish lore apps offered that.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Pay to use

*2026-08-23, version 12.2.2*

You have to subscribe to use it despite appearing to be a free app.

### 1/5 — Too noisy

*2026-08-14, version 12.2.2*

Didn’t get a chance to see what this app has to offer as I couldn’t see a way of turning off the sound. Does it have settings? Who knows

### 1/5 — Was great before made to opt for a monthly subscription

*2026-08-13, version 12.2.2*

I bought this app when it was first released and it was fun and educational: I could point my phone in any direction and I could see planets, constellations, you name it. So I thought it would prove useful this morning when we awoke at 3:15 to view the meteor shower. I opened the app and was immediately presented with a screen for pricing tiers. Suddenly my original purchase was demoted to “base plan,” and I was shown three options with no way to exit the screen. All I wanted to do was find the right direction for where the meteor shower would present itself, but instead I was given a screen to select one of three subscription options. It would appear I am now left with an app I cannot use after having paid for it. Had Fifth Star Labs LLC thought to launch their app as a subscription model in the beginning, I wouldn’t feel like I’ve been the unsuspecting victim in a bait-and-switch. To the LLC owner(s), I hope everything you purchased switches to a monthly subscription so you, too, can experience what it feels like to be a customer who paid for your app.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-08-12, version 12.2.2*

This app used to work years ago until they “upgraded“ it, and now with the Compass on it no longer moves with my phone properly so I can’t see the stars like I once could on it. I really miss it because I had a lot of fun with it.

### 1/5 — Terrible customer service

*2026-08-10, version 12.2.2*

I signed up for my son not realizing there was a trial to be canceled. Within minutes of being charged I reached out to be refunded the $50+ dollars and never heard back after weeks. Would not recommend unfortunately.

### 1/5 — Sky Guide

*2026-08-06, version 12.2.1*

Used to love this app. I used to open up and see exactly what I pointed at in the sky. No more. I can’t even figure it out. Disappointed I paid for it.

### 1/5 — No turn off the star noise!

*2026-08-04, version 12.2.1*

I just want to be able to look through my camera, see the star that I can see with my naked eye… and have a label identify the star that I’m looking at. But this app floods the screen with ALL the stars of the sky that aren’t actually visible to me. Yall need to make an augmented camera mode that strictly shows labels, and NOTHING ELSE.

### 1/5 — Not Free

*2026-07-26, version 12.2.1*

There is no free version don’t bother

### 1/5 — I don’t really like it🕴🏽

*2026-07-18, version 12.1.1*

I don’t know why anybody would try this. It cost a lot of money and the free trials probably just a scam.

### 5/5 — Gateway to the stars

*2026-08-24, version 12.2.2*

Honestly, this app is like having a planetarium in your hand. Now when I see an interesting object in the sky, I no longer have to wonder what it is.

### 5/5 — Most wonderful stargazing app

*2026-08-24, version 12.2.2*

I’ve tried other apps and nothing even compares to the Sky Guide even their premium plan. It’s so great.
