Now there are too many video articles, and a lot of adverts. Also I uninstalled the app to clear down storage, as it was taking up over a ghig of space, when reinstalling I have lost the setting to enlarge the text. The titles are fine, but the actual font of the articles is tiny. About as left wing as it gets and not in the slightest impartial. One of many examples, people who come on boats/lorries are “migrants”. They are illegal immigrates. Migrants are people who come legally, work and are productive members of society. The app it’s self and the lay is great just a shame about the actual content. ### 2/5 — Censored news *2026-08-25, version 6.22.0* I’ve had sky news for years and trusted that views were informed of reliable, relevant and topical news. I’ve now downloaded GB News and discovered loads of relevant news that the public should be aware of. Sky news clearly does not want to cause a stir when it comes down to immigration. And why are there ads before reports of disaster, deaths, tragic events ? Unbiased - unlike BBC- good stories etc. sadly the technical issues are annoying- no sound on many live bulletins (unless I knock off Blu tooth) Constant freezing of picture/ content then having to sign out then sign back in just to get another story. General articles are fine but video playing on this app is unusable, constantly crashes and restarts. Compared to other sites like YouTube or even other news apps the sky news app is falling behind ### 2/5 — Just to many advertisements *2026-08-19, version 6.22.0* I understand Sky news is a business but when the news item you’re trying to read has a great big advertising banner across the top of the screen making reading of the article difficult it’s just to much. I never look at the adverts. When I want to watch a video of a news item and it’s preceded by a commercial I just don’t bother. Sadly I use sky news rarely now. There are adverts before every one, and they waste my time. I also find the app very messy to navigate now with all the videos and duplication. There were more stories to read. Now Sky has decided to cater to the Tik Tok generation who only have a few seconds of attention rather than continuing to provide real news analysis in written form. Shame. ### 1/5 — Bias and repetition *2026-08-15, version 6.22.0* Since Andy Burnham became PM, I’ve noticed Sky News question everything he does, and go into great detail about say how can he afford this policy or that policy, and the reporters seemingly undermining everything he says. Do not recall this type of journalism when the ruinous Tory Party was in power. Blatant bias I’d say. Also, as you scroll down the news feeds, the same story pops up again and again- WHY??? ### 1/5 — Biased news for the right wing *2026-08-15, version 6.22.0* I stopped using the major news outlets several years ago because they are so blatantly biased for the right wing side of news I’m just checking in to see if times have changed but no their still the same right wing rubbish it’s better to avoid all major news outlets and think for yourself find your own news. You could just close it before. Seems that opinion has been disabled for some reason. The Sky news channel starts playing automatically. When you have limited data this is very irritating. I’ve tried reinstalling the app, but videos keep crashing and the only able to fix it after rebooting app. I would think the issue is with the video ads blocking content when the ads fail to play. Also, the ads at the end of the articles have not been vetted. Some are scams, or counterfeit products. Not a good idea for what should be honest news. The sky original investigations are really good. But sometimes reporting there is poor content that is compleeely irrelevant to us. Also, when is a news breaks out it provides 2/3 of the same news from different angles.
