## What is Skybound Towers?

Drop a block. Then another. How high can you go?

Skybound Towers is a one-thumb arcade game about building the tallest tower you can. A crane swings each block over your tower; tap at the right moment to drop it. Land it dead center for a PERFECT and your streak grows, your multiplier climbs and your tower stands straighter. Miss the edge and the top floors come tumbling down.

THE CLIMB
Every stretch of sky adds something new. Rain makes for slippery landings. Wind gusts push your blocks. Snow reduces visibility. Then the air thins, the Earth curves away below, and you're in space. Conquer asteroid belts, a black hole that bends space and drags your blocks sideways, and a UFO out to steal your top floor. Tap to fire back.

TWO WORLDS
Daylight is a calm climb through a painted sky. Neon Night turns the same game into an arcade: glowing blocks, fireworks, and a soundtrack to match. Switch any time, or let it follow your phone's appearance.

SCORE, STREAK, SURVIVE
Chain PERFECT landings to push your multiplier. Earn a Super Block every five. Keep a whole color band clean for a NICE TOWER bonus. Pull off a Swing Shot, a Storm Perfect, a Quick Drop, a Daredevil, a Rock Buster. Earn extra lives with skill, not money. Straighten Up when the sway gets scary.

YOUR CITY
Every tower you build takes its place in your city's skyline, so the ground gets busier the longer you play.

GAME CENTER
Three leaderboards, including a weekly one that resets so everyone gets a fresh shot, and 17 achievements from Off the Ground to UFO Buster.

THE PROMISE
Skybound Towers is free, and all of it is yours to play. No ads. No timers, energy or gems. Nothing for sale that changes the game or the scores. Just a game, the way they used to be.

Works with VoiceOver, Reduce Motion and Dim Flashing Lights.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.1.1 — 2026-10-28

SCORING, MADE CLEAR
Every landing pays what it pays. Land a PERFECT and the combo starts; keep landing to keep it going, and another PERFECT refills the meter. When the meter runs out, the combo pays a bonus in points and new residents, and the bigger the combo the much bigger the bonus. Miss or topple and it's lost.

GOLD RUSH
Build your combo to 5 and the next 5 blocks are gold, triple points each. Land the fifth PERFECT and the rush keeps going. Gold blocks now appear only in a Gold Rush, so gold means something.

PERFECT LANDINGS ADD UP
Over a climb, every 7 PERFECTs earn a super block (gold, if a rush is on), every 11 the tower straightens itself, every 13 an extra life.

HOW SCORING WORKS
The help page is a deck of cards now: a picture of the thing on screen, a title, a line or two. No reading required.

ALSO
- Your lives show as hearts under the score: two to start, and the last one beats.
- A lost combo flashes the bar red so you see it go.
- Awnings sit flush with the window frame; the bottom tap zone is smaller, so low taps drop the block.
- A block landing anywhere on a super block's wide ledge is graded by how far it is from center, like every other landing.
- Zen's game over puts Try Again right under the title.

### 1.1 — 2026-10-27

BALLOONS
Bonus balloons drift between your tower and the block. Pop one with a falling block for 50 to 500 points, or catch the rare one carrying an extra life. Wind hurries them along, meteors pop them, and the black hole swallows them whole.

SHARPSHOOTER
Pop a balloon and land that same block PERFECT, and the balloon pays out twice. A new Game Center achievement marks your first one.

GOLD RUSH
Land a gold block PERFECT with your streak at five or more and the next five blocks are gold, each paying triple. Land the fifth PERFECT and the rush keeps going until a landing that isn't. A miss only ends the rush; no floors lost.

POPULATION
Every block you land houses residents, more for a better landing. A small figure under the score counts who's home, the game-over screen counts who's still home at the end, and everyone who ever lived in a finished tower joins your city's population on a road sign on the lawn.

ZEN
A second way to play, chosen under Tap to Start: the climb on its own, with no points, streaks, callouts or power-ups; just the music, the weather and the thud of each landing. Three hearts; a miss topples nothing, a heart goes with it, and the last heart beats.

FACADES
Your landings show on the building: awnings and a balcony for a PERFECT floor, a single awning or flower box for a GOOD one, a balcony at every window with lights strung across for a super block. Rain beads on the glass; snow frosts the panes and caps the awnings with icicles.

MORNING
A sunrise for the daytime world, with a dawn sky that cools to blue as you climb. Pick Morning, Noon or Neon Night under Settings > Theme.

ALSO
- Your lives show as hearts under the score: two to start, one more per extra life, one fewer per topple.
- Every message has its own place on screen, and nothing overlaps anything.
- Settings is a hub of tiles with a big Resume button.
- Neon Night hums with power: surges down the tower, up the rope and along the skyline.
- Your city has room for twenty towers, hand-drawn bluebirds visit the rope, a V of geese crosses above the snow, and icicles grow under the snow on a hanging block.
- Every ten floors the building hangs a banner with the floor count on it.
- Straighten Up works on its own every ten PERFECTs; the button is gone.
- Swiping home no longer drops the block on its way out.
- Many small fixes.
