### 2/5 — Needs a lot of work

*2016-03-30, version 1.1*

Having jumped out of planes before, I was looking for something that would help get my friends get an idea of what it was like. I was really excited to finish downloading this app (which kept stalking for some reason). However, when I finally had it ready to go, a few flaws jumped out at me. First and foremost is the video quality. It looks worse than my old VHS tapes. The pixelation is horrible and it makes it extremely challenging to figure out what you're looking at. Second, when you do figure out what it is you're looking at, the camera angle changes drastically and the dizziness that accompanies that is enough to turn anyone off the experience. Third, I get that you generally skydive off a small cabin. However, everything seemed to be way too close to my face, which of course didn't help with the vertigo when the camera angle changed without warning. One last thing: you might want to consider including footage from the time when you first get into the plane for a full experience. The first time I jumped it was the anticipation that made the experience for me. The climb, and realizing you're about to jump off a plane, and the first look down when the cabin is exposed.
Work on all that and you will have an app worth downloading. Until then I won't be touching this again.

### 2/5 — Meh

*2016-03-25, version 1.1*

Just....meh

### 2/5 — Seems like it would have been interesting

*2016-02-22, version 1.1*

The footage is really poorly stitched together and the camera angle is changing too often without moving your head that it's just hard to make sense of anything. Once they tweak their methods this could be cool.

### 2/5 — Not a skydive

*2016-01-13, version 1.0*

That's a hop and pop.... Extremely disappointing, and I have no idea how this is over 0.6 of a GB!

### 1/5 — Bad all around

*2015-12-15, version 1.0*

Bad video quality and does not even work with VR glasses/goggles, does not match up to the curved lenses of Google cardboard. Almost seems to want the user to be cross eyed...

### 1/5 — Boring

*2015-12-09, version 1.0*

Ever thought skydiving was super boring? Me neither - but now you can find out how boring it is.

But there's more - awkwardly joined and flawed VR images, super bad royalty free 'heavy metal' - aimed no doubt to make it less boring - but only managing to throw irritation into the boredom mix.

The concept is ridiculous - sky diving is about the g's - this is the dumbest app idea ever - you're just there looking at what seems to be a static horizon.

Get it if your like boredom.

### 1/5 — Blurry

*2015-10-07, version 1.0*

This is a video app, not a computer generated environment. I don't know if it's because of the larger screen on the iPhone 6+ but everything seems too close. Worse, the ground and everything else is blurry (probably because high-def would be too large a download). You can't see any real detail, so nothing much to get too excited about. At least there are no additional downloads (besides the app itself).

### 1/5 — Less exciting than Google Earth

*2015-10-07, version 1.0*

Would have been a lot more exciting if the view wasn't blocked by a helmet. Also, first cardboard app I've tried that required having the phone outside of the headset to start, and then the visuals didn't really work.

### 2/5 — Weak

*2015-09-17, version 1.0*

Really disappointing. Don't waste your time.

### 1/5 — Lame

*2015-09-12, version 1.0*

After reading the reviews I thought this was going to be great. And yes I know you need a headset for it...but it is really dumb. The video quality looks like it's out of the early 90's. Used for about 30 seconds and deleted. I am convinced the app developers wrote the reviews for this app. Not possible that this vr games in its present state to be given a 5 star review unless you are half blind.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Absolutely garbage

*2017-04-13, version 1.1*

It's impossible to use

### 1/5 — Ummmmm...ya?

*2016-11-29, version 1.1*

Glad it was free? 1 question...why in the f**k were there Cop sirens? Ok...say there are sirens up there,ITS SKY DIVING,you cant even hear yourself scream at all? It makes no sense and ruins everything else....?

### 1/5 — Trash

*2016-08-09, version 1.1*

Its just horrible

### 1/5 — Naff😡😡

*2016-07-29, version 1.1*

It's called "sky diving" but you're not even falling and the graphics are terrible.

### 1/5 — Unwatchable

*2016-06-04, version 1.1*

Pretty much unwatchable. Video is so jumpy it makes you feel ill

### 1/5 — Good idea poor execution

*2016-04-27, version 1.1*

Installed, tried for 10 seconds, and deleted. Great idea, but leaves a lot to be desired. The 4 shots coming together when looking down is disappointing. Poor overlapping at the edge of the multi camera set is very noticeable. The quality of the footage is really poor too. I hope they update this with new higher quality videos and I would enjoy it.

### 1/5 — Very bad

*2016-01-26, version 1.0*

Looks horrible

### 1/5 — Pathetic

*2016-01-24, version 1.0*

Wrapped image, no 3D, boring, flat, uber Lo-resolution. The kind of app that gives VR a bad name. Terrible

### 1/5 — Awful!!!

*2016-01-11, version 1.0*

The video quality is so bad. I looked at it for 10 seconds with my google cardboard and it made me so dizzy I thought I was going to puke. doesn't look real at all and I've been sky diving many times. don't waste your tim

### 1/5 — Not great. Just not great.

*2016-01-09, version 1.0*

Tried to use with Google Cardboard. Not good. Very neat concept. But since the video platform was not stable, the video is very hard to manage. Just not good.

I love this app!! It really feels like your jumping!! Definitely a fan!!

### 5/5 — Well made and realistic

*2015-09-04, version 1.0*

Most apps are cheaply made and are choppy or don't load well, but this app with the goggles works great loads smoothly on older devices, and is fun. Definitely an app I'd show a friend!

### 5/5 — Amazing game

*2015-09-04, version 1.0*

### 5/5 — Awesome experience

*2015-09-03, version 1.0*

Rad! Makes me wanna go jump

### 5/5 — Intriguing!

*2015-09-03, version 1.0*

This app is so thought provoking! What amazing tech. I watched the videos, breath stealing, and couldn't help but immediately think about the possibilities.

The app design is refreshingly crisp and responsive.

I can't wait to see what's next!

### 5/5 — Excellent, immersive and fun !!

*2015-09-03, version 1.0*

This app for sure is best experienced with a set of cardboard goggles which are cheap online. I can't believe how immersive 360 degree video is and how much fun to watch! Worth the download for sure.

### 4/5 — Great

*2023-05-27, version 1.1*

This game is super fun and I love the feeling of the falling but it can get a boring

### 4/5 — NuTek Worth the Jump

*2015-11-13, version 1.0*

This is indeed a video project & not a hi-def one. As an emergent consumer tek (free at this stage) it provides an experience that I have not had and don't anticipate having in actuality. There are also other apps showing what we can expect in an apparent short time-frame.

A greater appreciation of this one (only the "Helio" worked for me) may be had if you (assuming use of Cardboard or another VR device):
- Stand while viewing
- Turn around and face in the direction the 'chutist is facing
- Look up at the chute & the arms and hands guiding it
- Look at the flyer herself
- Look down and around

It's not TV where sitting & facing in one direction delivers the entire impact.

Certainly additional "jumps" will be even more revealing.

Thanks for the brave new world.
