## What is Skyfield?

Skyfield is a professional offline-first astronomy app for exploring the night sky, planning observation sessions, and capturing sky-aligned photos.
Explore thousands of bundled celestial objects, including stars, planets, the Moon, galaxies, deep-sky objects, exoplanet hosts, comets, and selected space objects. Navigate with gyroscope or manual controls, change date and time, filter object categories, view detailed object information, and save favorites.
Skyfield also includes observation planning tools, reminders, notes, sky overlay camera features, and advanced astronomy utilities designed for night-sky exploration.
