I can’t access my account even though the details I’m typing in are correct. The ‘renew your password’ links aren’t working/ timeout. Basically it’s incredibly bad, and not what you’d expect for the interface with Skycaddie - it really lets down the products themselves. Also, I’m going to Slovakia later in the year and they only have a handful of the courses mapped which again is poor given the subscription I’m paying. Said subscription expired which it hadn’t. Proceeded to try to use the app and just opened to a blank screen. Massively regretting it now. It simply does not work on any device. SORT IT OUT! YOU ARE CHARGING HUNDREDS OF POUBDS FOR DEVICES. NOT ACCEPTABLE!! ### 1/5 — Sync *2022-10-02* The app is pretty useless since I can’t sync the app to the sky caddy. It keeps saying “not found” but they are next to each other. They are both connected to the same network, and the unit is properly described in the app. ### 1/5 — Look elsewhere *2022-05-20* I have had the SW2 watch and the Skytrak monitor watch for years. Tried cranking the watch back up the other day and was quickly reminded why I don’t use it anymore. The app is not user friendly at all. Downloading courses and synching the watch is always a nightmare. Reached out to their customer service department online which was met with an “unable to answer this message” response. I then went back and forth with a rep through text message whose only recommendation was to uninstall the app and reinstall to fix my syncing issues. After that didn’t work they just stopped responding to my messages. I really try and support a locally based Mississippi company but they make it impossible. The launch monitor does the job but isn’t the best. I tossed the watch in the trash and uninstalling the app. ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2021-07-26* I tried to renew my Skycaddie Touch via wireless. After failing to do so on my iPad and iPhone I was instructed to call customer support. The rep was polite but eventually I was told that it wouldn’t work. I needed to use a computer instead. Just a waste. ### 1/5 — Awful app!!! *2021-04-17* This is one of the worst apps I think I’ve ever used, and they have the gall to ask you to pay for annually! How could something be so unusable so terrible and I never updated and fixed ? What’s up with these programmers? The golf watch is not much better! Buy a Garmin! Really wish they could make this easier. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — No bang for the buck *2026-06-23* Numerous times I go to a course, while I'm warming up I try to have my watch try and find a course and the gps cannot locate the course. I'll be two holes into the round and it still has not found the course. I'll try again no joy. The GPS will not be able to find the course I'm playing. This happened a lot in Florida on the panhandle and in Ohio. I paid for the premium plan and I regret it. ### 1/5 — Terrible company *2026-06-20* Glitchy app and service stick with garmin way more polished than this overpriced company ### 1/5 — Update broke Sync function *2024-12-12, version 1.4.1* The v1.4.1 update just broke the app being able to detect my SkyCaddie Touch Bluetooth connection. I am now stuck with a GPS unit that I can no longer Sync. No more changing courses loaded in it. No more saving rounds and uploading to my account. This bug needs to be fixed ASAP. Skygolf took away the ability to Sync via USB on the computer last year. Now they have broken this app. All to try and force users into “upgrading” to a new WiFi GPS. The issue there is they are still using decade old WiFi of 802.11b/g/n (no 5GHz tech). ### 1/5 — Simply does not work! *2024-07-31* Keeps crashing with errors- spike the watch and I’m gettting rid I think. Couldn't use any of the features of the watch as the app was beyond useless. Wouldn't connect to prepaid account, link to Bluetooth or WiFi. Don’t feel I can even give this 1 star ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Finding my faults *2025-08-12* Excellent when used in conjunction with swing tags. I have using in practice and lessons with my pro. Then able to compare with concourse swings as I have not been able to take from the range. This has helped identify my key issue of getting too steep on the course. The distances on course are perfect and easy to use. Key for use is have your phone or sky caddy close to you. Easy to edit. Stats after a few rounds have a pattern on holes so a change in strategy is also helping.. it’s not cheap but I am enjoying using… ### 5/5 — Best Sky Caddie Yet *2019-12-14* I have used Sky Caddie since SG4. I am on 4 which is SX500. In conjunction with Sky Golf 360 it is awesome. It gives information on areas where improvements are needed and stats to back that up. I wouldn’t be without it. ### 5/5 — Brilliant *2017-07-27* I have used one other paid for golf mobile apps but this one is much better. Got it as part of a SkyCaddie subscription upgrade and find it easier and quicker to use than my SkyCaddie SGX device. Plus it has a lot more functionality for tracking your round, although I have yet to explore those capabilities during a competitive round. It also appears more intuitive to use. Would thoroughly recommend. ### 4/5 — Must have for SkyCaddie owners *2015-01-16* Pretty much does everything you need without having to visit the SkyGolf website. ### 3/5 — Am I impressed. *2024-03-14* The handset works well, gives accurate readings and distances and hazards. The app, however, is dreadful. Having uploaded the round, editing is very poor, sometimes non-existent and very slow. As the editing is rubbish, any performance averages are inaccurate. Just considering whether it’s worth renewing my subscription . ### 3/5 — Good but could be better *2018-07-11* Great underlying product; especially when paired with GT2. Fantastic ideas and really helpful but as with all sky golf stuff the tech is poor, falls over and freezes. If you can live with the odd restart is very helpful but seems to be they need investment and better IT to make this a much smoother experience.
