## What is SkyLaunch?

SkyLaunch tells you exactly when to look up — and how good the view will be from right where you are.

For every upcoming SpaceX launch, SkyLaunch calculates a personalized visibility score (0–10) based on your distance to the launch pad, the sun's angle at launch time, and the cloud cover and atmospheric visibility from a 16‑day forecast. Twilight launches score highest — that's when the rocket's exhaust plume catches sunlight against a dark sky and can be seen for hundreds of miles.
