The Skylog Pro iPhone/iPad app, in conjunction with the most mature and well respected Professional Pilot Personal Flying Logbook - Skylog Pro, is the ideal app for professional pilots using the very popular Apple iPhone/iPad mobile devices when away from home. Created in 1996, Skylog Pro is used by thousands of airline pilots around the globe. Please note that, as with all our mobile apps, the iPhone app is designed to work with the Skylog Pro V6.09 (or later) PC application; it is NOT a stand-alone app, and can only be used in conjunction with the main PC application. I can now enter data using my iPhone whenever it's convenient, and then sync it with the SkyLog Pro software on my laptop at a later time, rather than having to wait until I've got access to my laptop before I can upodate my logbook. The initial syncing process initially seeemed a little involved for someone like me without particularly strong IT skills, but by following the instructions in the FAQs on the SkyLog Pro website I was able to achieve this without too much difficulty, although it was necesary to reconfigure some of the settings in my laptop firewall software as described in the FAQs, but again the instructions guided me through this process. Not sure why this is missing as a feature since the almanacs could be downloaded or automatically update on opening the program with a data connection. Saves me a rake of time so very pleased. ### 4/5 — Skylog iPhone app *2011-04-25, version 3.00* Have been using the iPhone app since it was updated at the end of 2010 with no issues. It works fine for me - have not had any of the wireless connection problems - and is much improved on the initial version. Just waiting for the next upgrade where I can import my roster and log RNAV and MLS approaches. ### 2/5 — Still waiting for the update!.... *2010-09-03, version 0* Come on guys...we've been promised an update for months now! Currently I cannot recommend this product, this should have been provided for free until it was working properly and fully functional. I was better off with the old Pocket PC version (which was free!) Sync frequently fails with the PC and records arbitrarily are removed from the phone. Want to know your total hours? Not a chance!
