Use it to twist & mangle synth sounds, easily perform textures into productions, record subtle or absolutely off-the-wall crazy automation runs, make fast and intuitive mix moves, and so much more. The only limitations to this app are in your imagination. Surprise yourself with new sounds and scarily expressive performances. Thought your synths were powerful before? Add Skym in to the mix & suddenly you’ll be scoffing at your old arcane methods of modulation. Skym lets you play & hear what you feel *right this second.* There’s seriously not a more intuitive, fluid, and responsive MIDI app or device that gives you this kind of control. Its elegant simplicity on the surface betrays only a modicum of the depth of possibility that lies below. Feel extremely lied to. It’s been years. Horrible support bad company. ### 1/5 — Not for windows *2021-04-06* The idea is very awesome and sounded like it would be a great addition to my DAW. Unfortunately it wasn't very clear to me that it wasn’t available for windows and I became aware of this after purchasing. Hoping for the addition of windows support soon! **Developer response:** This was stated in the description of the app very clearly. ### 4/5 — Easy to use app with once concern *2022-09-10* I’m enjoying using the app so far however I’m having a hard time finding a way to make it so I’m not triggering a note when I use the x/y pad as I’m wanting to play chords with my left hand without having the app constantly play a trigger note. The rhythms that you can create are insane. I will be using this all the time. ### 5/5 — Skym is a game changer!! *2021-09-30* This app allows you to essentially turn your iOS device into a macro controlling chaos pad with an amazing X,Y,Z axis system. You can map multiple parameters in your daw and easily control them with the swipe of a finger. 10/10 highly recommend ### 5/5 — Concept sounds cool but not working in Ableton 11 *2021-05-20* The user remote script has not been updated to work in Ableton 11. From what I have read online Ableton 11 has migrated their code base to Python 3 from Python 2 thus requiring an updated script. So if you’re using Ableton 11 just be aware this has not been updated to work as far as I know. Will rerate if/when this gets updated. EDIT: this was fixed to work with Ableton 11 and is working great!! Sick for sound design and automating parameters on the fly **Developer response:** Hey Deroia, we just fixed the scripts to work with Ableton 11, thanks so much for your patience. This app approaches sound design in a truly one of a kind fashion. Touch activation and organic kinetic expression you’ll find sounds that you would have never dreamed off. Watch a bunch of the videos and just experiment with it to get the hang of it.
