So I guess there are no terms and conditions? ### 5/5 — This saved me! *2024-04-08, version 6.7.8* Waiting for a dermatology referral was not something I could do. I had the worst perioral dermatitis flare I’ve ever experienced, and Dr. Beckford was able to evaluate my concerns, give a treatment plan, and answer my questions all within a couple hours. Not to mention this was totally affordable for an out of pocket urgent expense. I highly recommend this app. Dr. Beckford has a ton of great experience and she knew exactly how to treat my issue. Dr. Wright, even though he had a very busy day working clinicals, took the time throughout the entire day to do the research (based on pictures) to figure out what was wrong and prescribed the best treatment. Within the first day of medication my face felt SO much better. It’s only been three days and I’m already starting to see little improvements. My case was pretty sever and I wasn’t expecting a miracle but this is more than I was even hoping for! I downloaded this app, submitted all of my information and pictures, and got my treatment plan the next day!! Dr. Kevin Wright understood all of my skin issues, explained the medication he wanted to prescribe with any potential side effects, all with extreme detail. Not to mention, everything he told me was in easy-to-understand words and not a bunch of medical jargon. My provider responded to me in less than 24 hours on a Sunday. I felt like he listened to me and answered all my questions. He was incredibly nice and very thorough. I really like having a Telehealth service. Then I start receiving emails with other patients conversations and information. I’ve been using this app for years now for psoriasis and acne. Was always able to see my doctor for both problems but then left. Now I get a doctor who says one thing to me and the appointment was over and I have to make a new appointment for acne now. I did this and was told by their team that my visit would not be covered - instead, I opted to pay for the visit out of pocket ($99). I’ve just received mail from my insurance detailing a $300 charge that I must pay, none of which they will cover. It seems that SkyMD billed my insurance knowing that they would not be able to cover it, and after I had elected to pay the $99 out of pocket as they required in their app. From looking at other reviews this doesn’t seem to be a standalone issue! I’d definitely keep in mind SkyMD’s history of this predatory practice before using their service and would recommend making sure that you’re either covered by your insurance or don’t enter your insurance information whatsoever. ### 1/5 — Scam *2024-03-19, version 6.7.8* They will advertise it’s like 70$ and then you’ll get charged $350 a month later. ### 1/5 — App doesn’t work on my iPhone *2023-10-07, version 6.7.7* First of all, expect a totally different experience with this company if you were going through insurance. I listed that I had Medicare and it listed five doctors that it said excepted Medicare. Then I went through the whole 40 minutes of entering information, my insurance card, my drivers license and pictures of my face only to get a text back later that was supposedly from the doctor I chose, that I couldn’t open on my iPhone because it require downloading the app and the app doesn’t show anything other than advertisements. Luckily, I was able to download the app on my iPad to see that I got a message from a supposed medical asstThat said that the doctor I chose did not accept my insurance so she would have to assign me a different doctor and because I was going through insurance, they would require an actual telehealth visit on computer which I thought was required of any telehealth visit (Computer or phone contact with the doctor) but apparently, if you pay cash on here, no, Dr. ever hast to see or speak with you. For all you know, a secretary is prescribing your medication. The fact that the app doesn’t work on iPhone and that they don’t update the doctors that accept her insurance, or just to measure headaches that make this app a waste of time. but if you’re willing to pay $80 cash (which is what I should’ve just done), you can likely get whatever you need prescribed same day instead of going through the clown show I did. ### 1/5 — Bogus diagnoses’ and a waste of time *2023-07-26, version 6.7.6* They do not diagnose you correctly. They will message you asking for things that you already enter when you submit the visit. They’re impersonal and everytime you question a diagnoses they say that “ it’s best you see an in person doctor” but continue to charge you. It’s a rip off. ### 1/5 — Questionable Service Diagnosis *2023-05-17, version 6.7.5* It appears they diagnosis and continue to try to recommend the same treatments that don’t work. Not sure if it’s because they work with the supplier company or what. For 4 months I was treated for a issue that did not get any better, just worst. I finally was able to see a local derm in my city who said they SkyMd misdiagnosed me and the treatment they gave me was not going to help at all. The local derm advised I had perioral dermatitis gave a treatment for 4 weeks and it started clearing up. I believed the dermatitis was coming back more recently which after research it has been known to do. It was going to take several weeks to get back to the local deems office so I thought I would reach back out to SkyMd and see if they could assist before the dermatitis got worst again. They where again trying to treat for the previous condition that was not effective and did nothing for me because that was not the issue. In my opinion this service was not effective & they just keep going to a certain diagnosis/ treatment plan no matter what your issue is. ### 1/5 — Absolutely useless app and completely wrong ‘advice’ *2022-05-19* There is no way to actually communicate with any doctors. You describe your symptoms in the app and a doctor reads your description and assumes you have something, whether they are correct or not, and prescribes some medication. The doctor who read my symptom list made absolutely and completely wrong assumptions about me and my condition and prescribed completely irrelevant medicine and suggestions. Your credit card will be charged immediately and you cannot get a refund for erroneous diagnosis or prescriptions I messaged the support people in the app, telling them that the doctor had made erroneous assumptions about my condition, and I asked three , that is 3 times to talk to the doctor to clarify her misconceptions and get a re-evaluation but I was totally ignored. He also goes over whatever meds he prescribes from application to side effects. He’s very passionate about his work and cares about healing his patients. Besides his expertise he projects as being a very good person. I would highly recommend him. After an urgent care in person appointment they said if it didn’t heal to go to a dermatologist bc it was a bad burn/infection. After 7 days of antibiotics it was doing better, but not healed. I couldn’t get a dermatology appointment anywhere near me and decided to try online bc I didn’t want the infection to take off again. SkyMD was so easy. I explained my problem, took a couple pictures and in less than 24 hours I had a prescription waiting for me at my pharmacy. Found this option and it’s a life changer! Filled out a questionnaire and sent in photos - had a diagnosis and a prescription within 24 hours! I recently used the service for myself as well. Can’t recommend SkyMD highly enough! They were not in network with my insurance but I used my HSA. It was well worth it. ### 5/5 — Wonderful Resource *2024-06-08, version 6.7.8* Fiona Rahbar and her staff are wonderful. I have struggled with painful, persistent cystic acne for 20 years now and have tried every possible medication, topical, etc with no fix. I started using SkyMD about 6 months ago and have had a dramatic decrease in my cystic acne. I have an appointment monthly where Fiona evaluates every part of me through telehealth and then sends a prescription in. I feel like I get a more thorough evaluation here than I would in a medical office. When my appointment day comes, I am able to answer the medical questions and submit pictures as I am available through the day; there is no set appointment time that I have to take off work to attend. She and her staff answer my questions and address my concerns throughout the month, well after my appointment has concluded. They are all very kind and professional. It was so quick and easy, but very thorough. They also accepted my insurance. I originally submitted photos with my issue and Dr. Smolinski contacted me with follow up questions and requested before photos for reference and to thoroughly review.
