### 2/5 — Looks great, but....

*2020-05-23, version 2020.5.1*

How on earth do you drive it? Completely unusable for me.

### 2/5 — Fails to load

*2019-10-28, version 2019.10.3*

Used to work, but as at November 2019, fails to load on iPhone 6 and iPad 3. Shame. More concerned with advertising than the core program.

### 4/5 — Asteroid tracker

*2019-04-23, version 2018.3.1*

I would like if you could add an asteroid tracker so that it can track asteroids and see where they are headed. The rest of the app was great 🙂

### 1/5 — Nope

*2019-02-07, version 2019.1.1*

Slow

### 3/5 — Good graphics BUT

*2019-01-21, version 2018.12.1*

Easy to maneuver but the auto location is off a lot in longitude and the manual correction takes forever to cycle through and is not retained so each time you have to do it again or live with the error

### 4/5 — Excelent for be a free App.!

*2018-08-09, version 2018.8.1*

Excelent for be a free App.!... I would like to take pictures from the events as the App is showing me.!

### 4/5 — iPad Pro

*2018-04-15, version 4.4.3*

Great, awesome, wonderful app! A huge downside though is changing longitude and latitude. Single tap, no scrolling or ability to enter coordinates :(

### 1/5 — Terrible APP

*2018-02-16, version 4.4.2*

This app just does not work. Confusing work flow. Freezes up all the time. I subscribed for the one year premium. Big deal, nothing works for over one minute. It’s just a piece of junk. Totally disappointed.

### 4/5 — Mr Browns Review

*2018-01-05, version 4.3.1*

This app is got better over cuppl Ov years the up daites has got a lot better so if you get it it's worth it but the ads must got thought 📲⌚️⚜🕜🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2017-12-30, version 4.3.1*

Been using this app for a while now so I thought I’d pay a years subscription and what do you know. No difference. Still got ads.

### 3/5 — Great idea for astronomy aficionado

*2017-12-28, version 4.3.1*

The program applications are confusing, should have better way to teach users how to navigate it for better results

### 2/5 — Great Idea, Frustrating Execution

*2017-10-06*

I write frustrating because it SEEMS like the features included would be useful... if they worked.

Most of the time I am met with a mode that will not go back to its previous screen, or something freezes up- there are numerous bugs in this application. For instance, going into “planetarium” mode will either freeze, or I’m stuck in that mode until I literally close out the app- there’s no going back! Interface is clunky, and the same buttons do different things on different screens; this is a major design flaw.

Additionally, when I do get push notifications about events or astronomical news, upon clicking it in my events notifications screen (iPhone, not in-app), it just brings me to the settings screen. Why doesn’t this bring me to a news article? Or some sort of information about the event? More of a personal gripe, and not a problem with the app I guess.

All in all, I regret paying for premium, it was not worth the consistently buggy and cumbersome app. If these kinks get ironed out it may be useful. Sorry bruh.

### 1/5 — Review:

*2017-10-03, version 4.2.0*

I keep hoping, foolishly, I'm afraid, that your app will improve to a level of at least minimal usefulness. The app isn't just bad, it's urgently awful. Steer clear.

### 1/5 — Unusable!

*2017-09-08, version 4.1.0*

Each "update" app gets worse. Using an iphone 7plus. Should be a no brainer. App launches and then locks up. Get no response from developer.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — This app got too big for its britches

*2023-02-15, version 2021.12.9*

This app used to be amazing, now it is buggy and NEVER works. You need to be a CalTech scientist to figure it out. Save your time and money.

### 1/5 — I should have known better!

*2022-08-07, version 2021.12.6*

I should have known better than to spend money on the premium add-on for an app that hasn't had any reviews in 2 years, with many of those old reviewers complaining they paid for premium but didn't get the premium functionality.

That's exactly what happened to me - I bought the premium add-on so I would have the Apple Watch functionality. Apple knows I paid (I received the receipt from them) but the app does not and the Apple Watch functionality isn't there. I've reinstalled the app multiple times on both devices and have rebooted both of them many times.

So that's $4 down the drain that I spent for functionality that would be very useful if it existed, but it does not. I have contacted the developer but haven't yet received a reply. I will gladly update this review and award 5 stars if I ever get the premium SkyORB functionality I paid for.

(Several 2021 updates to the app claim to have dealt with this problem but they haven't.)

### 1/5 — Dec’21 version

*2021-12-19, version 2021.12.1*

Most features are useless without a subscription. But it will still tell you dates of new&full moons, which is all I use it for.

### 1/5 — Look Elsewhere

*2021-10-23, version 2021.10.2*

The advertising part works extraordinarily well.
Nothing else does unless you pay money.
Look elsewhere.

### 1/5 — Broken again

*2021-10-14, version 2021.10.1*

Used to be a great app, however now it seems every week its reset on the update. Now you have to accept tracking to get into app to reactivate subscription, but the privacy settings link is broken so you cant see what the app is doing. And to add insult to injury it forgets every time you close app you have premium subscription so you have to reapply it before you get overwhelmed by adds that take you away from the app.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2020-07-29, version 2020.7.2*

Crashes every-time I select Live Sky (telescope icon), and other times as well. EXTREMELY difficult to read font and no scaling there of.
Looks useful, but unable to navigate the interface.

### 1/5 — Ripoff

*2020-07-25, version 2020.7.2*

Ads come back every time I open the app, even though I paid to remove them. This is crap. Uninstalled in spite of having my purchase price stolen.

### 1/5 — SkyORB

*2020-07-22, version 2020.7.2*

2020 version just keeps crashing at splash scree even after numerous re-installs on my iPhone 5C running IOS 10.3.4

### 1/5 — Whoops! With iOS 13.1.3 App Is A Black Screen

*2019-10-16, version 2019.10.2*

I received a news banner on my home screen and ‘slid’ it to open SkyOrb. Only a completely black/blank screen appeared. Clicks everywhere were pointless as the app was unresponsive. No (viewable) news is NOT good news! Previously this has been a 5 STAR app! Please fix the 13.1.3 bug. (I have a 10 Xs Max iPhone.) Thanks!

### 1/5 — Oct. 14 update Problem

*2019-10-14, version 2019.10.2*

Will not open on iPad 2.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — “SkyORB” 2021

*2023-10-22*

While the app is labeled “SkyORB”, it also presently appears elsewhere as SkyORB 2021 - which now going on 3 years ago.

While I find no fault in the app, the nomenclature is both misleading & inconsistent.

### 5/5 — Having fun again

*2019-04-06, version 2018.3.1*

My life is so fast paced. I forget I used to spend hours glued to my Meade With Sky ORB I look up again! Wish there was an app that takes care of everything I have to do after work and maybe even fixes up old scopes that have sat in the basement since grad school. Ha!

### 5/5 — The best app ever!

*2018-04-26, version 4.4.4*

I think this app is cool because it provides the latest space facts.

### 5/5 — Giro space

*2018-01-22, version 4.3.1*

Superb

### 5/5 — A Nice App but needs FIXING ! 😫💨

*2017-11-13, version 4.3.0*

It's a nice app to keep abreast of what's going on in our solar system.
Unfortunately the Push Notifications are a day late to let you know about celestial events !

### 5/5 — J'adore

*2017-11-01, version 4.2.1*

Pour les alertes et les contenus. Vraiment je crois passer au niveau supérieur

### 5/5 — Love this astronomy app.

*2017-08-19, version 4.0.15*

Will help for the total eclipse in America.

### 5/5 — SkyORB

*2017-08-15, version 4.0.15*

Easy app to use.

### 5/5 — The update

*2017-08-12, version 4.0.14*

I appreciate the update...all the mechanics are working more smoothly.

### 5/5 — A return to the classroom, a renewal of the universe's wonder

*2017-06-04, version 4.0.10*

The subscription was a jarring reminder of my own smallness and lack of knowledge of the universe in which our earth makes its rounds. With time I shall have a better knowledge. About, perhaps, a million years of time. Thanks for what you do.
