### 3/5 — Good Most of Time

*2026-08-24, version 3.6.9*

App is good when it works. It is offline now, again. This happens about monthly. This time shutting down HVAC does not reboot. WiFi is working for everything else.

### 2/5 — Very unreliable

*2026-08-21, version 3.6.9*

Very often will not register what you select in the app. You will turn the AC on or off in the app, take a look 15 minutes later and the app never registered that you turned it on or off. Very unreliable

### 3/5 — Setting the schedule shouldn’t be that hard

*2026-08-18, version 3.6.9*

Why can’t I set the temperature for both heating and cooling to be 72° ? When I set the cooling to 72° it drops the heat setting to 68. Why can’t they be the same setting? The app is difficult to navigate.

### 2/5 — Terrible App

*2026-08-17, version 3.6.9*

How hard is it to make a user-friendly app? Impossible, apparently! They should scrap this one and start over. I want one temp set, that’s it. Can I do it? Of course not.
I can’t delete a setting I don’t like, but I can change it, and I have overlapping schedules , with my unit getting mixed signals throughout the day.
What’s the deal with the lines? Who thought that was a good idea? I touch something and get a schedule override, but what am I overriding? it’s a mystery, because it only shows one time, and the rest is just lines.
If someone in here knows of a decent 3rd party app that can run my unit, please let me know, because this app is a major fail. Do better.

### 4/5 — Overall good product

*2026-08-11, version 3.6.9*

Overall the product is effective, but main thing I don’t like is I cannot lower or raise the away temperature beyond a set amount. This resulted in paying higher electric and natural gas bills.

### 2/5 — 3.6.9 Update tanked reliability

*2026-08-08, version 3.6.9*

After working fine for many months, the 3.6.9 update fails to properly connect to the thermostat about a quarter of the time. I either have to close and reopen the thermostat screen or force quit the app and relaunch.

### 3/5 — Opening app

*2026-08-08, version 3.6.9*

Every time you wanna look at the temperature and make an adjustment to the thermostat, you have to go through three steps just to open the damn app

### 2/5 — Rubbish

*2026-07-18*

I really hope they overhaul this app. I’m not sure how so many people can think so highly of it. It is cumbersome and hard to program. There is no vacation setting, so if you’re leaving town, you have to separately turn the schedule off for each unit. And then back on when you get back. Stupid. Also, the units need to be reset at the breaker quite frequently. This isn’t an app issue, but it speaks to the fact that daikin really needs to work on their technology. This system is supposed to run on a “set it and forget it“ basis, but I find I constantly need to fiddle with it to keep it from running when it doesn’t need to be (cooling well below 72deg when it’s set to cool to 75). I’m definitely wishing the installer had given me some other option, but hopefully daikin can fix some of this. Do your research!

**Developer response:** Hi, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback.

We appreciate your comments regarding the app's usability, scheduling experience, and the desire for a vacation mode.

Your feedback is valuable, and we'll share your suggestions with our development team for future consideration.

Regarding the cooling behavior, if your system is an R-32 system, you may be able to reduce temperature overshoot by navigating to Settings > Cool/Heat, ensuring Overcool to Dehumidify is set to Off, and enabling Tight Setpoint Control (if available). If the issue persists, we recommend contacting your installing dealer so they can verify the system's operation.

For any future support, please contact us at daikinone.support@daikincomfort.com or 1-855-324-5461, Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–5:00 PM PST.

### 2/5 — It works

*2026-07-16, version 3.6.8*

A huge step down from the Ecobee. Not very intuitive. Not much functionality. No reporting. Thermostat is Ridiculously expensive for what you get. Let’s hope for a full software upgrade. Good luck.

### 3/5 — HomeKit Support Needed

*2026-06-27, version 3.6.8*

The level of control and visibility of my equipment is fantastic. (Filter status, humidity, temperature, etc) The system, however, is out of sync with the rest of my home given I have no way to add the temperature controls to my Apple Home setup.

Really the only functionality that is missing here.

### 2/5 — Not intuitive at all

*2026-06-24, version 3.6.5*

I find this app takes so many clicks to do anything.
Creating the schedule involves dragging numbers then also randomly pressing around trying to get something to open or save. I find myself always just jamming at the screen! Who designed this?the schedule limits are bizarre. It requires you to have a 4 degree difference between your desired Heat temperature and Cooling temperature… WHY? I want my house to be around 73 all year round? I have little kids, they cannot be 68 in the winter and 72 in the summer? Because of this I just manually change the temp on one schedule instead of saving it.
I’ve used two other systems , Honeywell and Sensi, both had really easy to use apps. I wish this system worked with any other app :-/

### 2/5 — Poor google interface

*2026-06-20, version 3.6.5*

Thermostat set to Celsius, but when paired with google home, the display is in Fahrenheit. This happens even though google settings are in Celsius. After researching problem, the problem stems from Daikin. They have never updated this issue.

If it was compatible with ecobee thermostat, I would go back to eco bee in a heartbeat.

### 1/5 — Thermostat won’t connect to internet!

*2026-06-19, version 3.6.5*

Tech support weak no help told me call my installer. Only problem is he’s an AC guy not a computer tech!

### 1/5 — Needs voiceover support

*2026-06-16, version 3.6.5*

This app is pretty mediocre in general, but what is really lacking is any reasonable support for VO.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bad Control of Temp

*2026-08-20, version 3.6.9*

I loved my Nest Thermostats, these Daikin One Plus Ones are not good for the common user. I swear they have a mind of their own no matter how I set them.

### 1/5 — Worst unit yet

*2026-08-10, version 3.6.9*

Unit was installed less than 3 weeks, and now is out of service awaiting shipment of a part from Daikin. Went out last Wednesday and part is expected tomorrow (Monday). Too long in 90+ degree heat.

### 1/5 — Not working Ac

*2026-08-06, version 3.6.9*

I am still not impressed
Ac is not working. I still have to use a portable ac unit on my main floor and still having to use fans. Especially on my third of my hous, barely cold in our rooms . Came home today and my house was warm. Not even cool. Checked the thermal stat . Saying it was 19.
But still have to have all my fans going.
I am still waiting for a manger to call me.
Also I am to a point that I don't want the Ac.
One thing it doesn't work. Also it is taking to long to hear back from someone to deal with the promblem 100%

### 1/5 — Do not buy

*2026-07-30, version 3.6.9*

The schedule is a complete disaster. Most unorganized app I’ve ever been on. They took something so simple and couldn’t even make it to where you can set a plain schedule and it stay on that temp until you either change it or set it to another temp. You have to turn the schedule off entirely. I’m serious, it’s an absolute embarrassment.

### 1/5 — Lousy thermostat and software

*2026-07-30, version 3.6.9*

I doesn't work and our HVAC installer can't fix.

### 1/5 — HVAC great but thermostat and app are terrible

*2026-07-28, version 3.6.8*

Great hvac system but useless app and cheap wall unit. App will connect to WiFi as will thermostat but the Daikin One Cloud never connects so nothing works on the app. Terrible. UPDATE: while I appreciate Daikin reaching out to me, the “fix” they offered is the exact same one you can find online. Not helpful. Solve the root cause, not shut down and restart. Which by the way still didn’t solve issue. One star stands.

### 1/5 — HVAC great but thermostat and app are terrible

*2026-07-23, version 3.6.8*

Great hvac system but useless app and cheap wall unit. App will connect to WiFi as will thermostat but the Daikin One Cloud never connects so nothing works on the app. Terrible.

### 1/5 — Non functional

*2026-07-17, version 3.6.8*

2 units cannot be setup in this app. Just does not work.

### 1/5 — Clunky, not user friendly

*2026-07-17, version 3.6.8*

App is clunky, takes longer than it should to set a week-long schedule. Overall, not very intuitive or user friendly compared to other HVAC/brand apps.

### 1/5 — Lock feature removed

*2026-06-30, version 3.6.8*

Latest update removed tstat lock feature

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Made in Japan just like Toyota

*2026-08-23, version 3.6.9*

I love my Daikin!

### 5/5 — 100% Top 10 best investment

*2026-08-19, version 3.6.9*

I have invested in a lot of things to make money. Rarely do we think of spending money on things like heat pumps as investments. I can tell you this has 100% been an investment that pays interest.
My bill in August is 1/2 of my bill in July. Where do I live you ask? Kansas the land of 110 degrees and 80% humidity.
If you are on the fence with your decision let me help you.
My savings in one month has paid $225 over my old 16 sear system. Let that sink in.
Believe me it was a hard decision to make spending $14k on a system. But I’m damn glad I did.

### 5/5 — Make the App’s adjustment controls more accessible for all users.

*2026-08-16*

I really like your App, but please make it an adjustable option to have larger adjustment controls, especially for temperature. You can call this an “Easy Access” mode, and I think it’s really important so that users can more easily see the information in the App and interact with the icons/information.

This is especially true for the temperature control. With all that space, there’s no reason for the temperature adjustment arrows to be so small and off in the very corners. This presents difficulties for those with visual impairments and seniors as well. Please make the app controls larger and easier for all users to operate by enabling users to increase the icon size to their preference in settings. Thanks!

**Developer response:** Thank you for the 5-star review and thoughtful feedback! We’re glad you’re enjoying the app. Your suggestion for an “Easy Access” mode with larger temperature controls and icons is a great idea, especially for accessibility. We’ll share your feedback with our product team for consideration. For thermostat/app support, contact daikinone.support@daikincomfort.com or 1-855-324-5461, Mon–Fri, 6 AM–5 PM PST.

*2026-07-30, version 3.6.9*

Have been a fee days that they did a great installation in the hone complete system and so far so good. It is a different but good system and took a few minutes to learn about the thermostat. System is super quiet and keeps the humidity at perfect level so the comfort. The thermostat shows us parameters of indoor, outdoor air quality and many other information about the air conditioning operation and weather, air information. So far we are happy. The installer did a great job installing, setting it and explaining to us everything.
