With SkySafari Pro 7 version the layout of the settings is awkward. You have a list of options and then you have to traverse across the other side of the screen to find the toggles to activate that function. It's very easy to accidentally toggle the wrong function given the long distance between your option and a toggle switch across one side of the screen to the other. I've already paid for the Pro versions of 6 and 7. How long does a purchase last with these guys? Unfortunately, we haven’t had many opportunities to try the app, but it does seem to be very well done. However, getting 8 Pro upgrade prompts to the tune of an additional $34.99 is a bit much. With every update, it has morphed into some sort of game/social thing. Less and less useful for a remarkably experienced user such as myself. Live Sky is totally useless IMO. I’m a solo observer, thank you! And what’s with the sound effects? Really? (Yes, I’ve turned them off) In summary, less of the fluffy stuff please. It’s been like this for at least 2-3 months with no fixes. I paid a lot of money for this app when I got my telescope and now it’s useless. The white line stays on the screen and won’t go away. I feel like the changes have dumb my version down. The Moon phase indicator and the moon data is completely wrong. It is telling me it’s a new moon and -27 days old, what the heck is -27 days? This app has been a massive problem for my iPad as well. When I connect to it and try to load the tonight’s page the whole app crashes. Despite what the help file says SkySafari 7 Pro does NOT work with a Skywire serial connection to a iPhone or iPad.
