However, there’s a few things that I’m finding buggy: -It logs me out frequently, for some reason? And when I log back in, it doesn’t do so properly, and I have to force quit the app and do it again. -Sometimes where it puts me in the timeline is way off from where it should be. Like, I’ve had to scroll through a full day’s worth of previously read posts to get back to where I was sometimes. -If I get to the top and reload posts, it will usually repeat several hours’ worth of posts I’ve already read. Glad you’re enjoying the app and we can’t wait to bring new features for you to enjoy in the future. ### 5/5 — An Excellent Bluesky App *2026-03-05* I began using Skyscraper for Bluesky shortly after it was released in January, and it has quickly become my favorite Bluesky client. If you primarily use Bluesky on an iPad like I do, then you are going to love how it runs natively on iPad and takes advantage of the full iPad screen and full sized iPad keyboard. The app simply looks stunning on iPad, and it is just so much better than the official Bluesky app that does not take advantage of the full iPad screen. The iPhone version of this app is also great, but it truly shines on iPad. In additional to its fantastic visuals, the app also functions very well. It loads feeds quickly, provides multiple intuitive options for navigating through feeds, provides great customization options and includes all of the functions and features that you would expect in a top notch social media client. Skyscraper has become my go-to Bluesky client, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for an alternative Bluesky app that simply blows the official Bluesky app out of the water. **Developer response:** Thank you very much for the kind comments on Skyscraper! Appreciate the positive comments on the app!! ### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for - like Tweetbot for Bluesky! *2026-01-26* I search the App Store about once a month hoping that someone has finally built something better than the first party app for Bluesky. Today I was pleasantly surprised to find that Skyscraper is exactly what I was looking for! The reverse timeline keeps track of your place, you can mute individual users’ reposts, and there are lots of customization options. If you liked Twitter apps like Tweetbot, this is the Bluesky client you’ve been waiting for. Easy decision to upgrade to the very reasonably priced pro version after just a couple hours of usage. A couple suggestions to the developer that I’d love to see in the future are slightly denser layout options on iPad and more or just longer mute options on individual profiles, but it’s already looking great shortly after launch. **Developer response:** Thank you so much for the review and positive comments! We’re glad you’re enjoying the iPad UI! ### 4/5 — Solid iPad and Mac Bluesky Client *2026-01-20* I’ve been looking around for a good Bluesky app for the iPad, since the official app and many other apps have very poor support for it. So far I mostly like the overall layout and UI, and I have an iPad mini, which often isn’t great with even Apple’s optimized iPad apps. Keeping that in mind, I think that the profile section could use some work. It’s very cramped and doesn’t properly display all the entirety of saved or liked posts. It cuts them off on the sides, and I just think that the profile should have its own full screen tab, or at least the liked and saved posts should so viewing them is nicer. I’ve notice less of a post is cut off in landscape than in portrait, but portrait is still cut off. Again, this could be an iPad mini thing… I do love the profile switching and export features, plus so few apps have good settings for Feed, Timeline, or Following. Good on the dev for not locking things like hide replies behind a paywall too. Really solid start for this app, I’d love to see it ironed out for the iPad in the future, because I like where the dev is going with this app’s iPad UI layout. **Developer response:** Appreciate the thoughtful feedback and we will take a look at Skyscraper on the iPad mini a bit further! ### 5/5 — Smart! *2026-01-19* A great app with some really smart features! I have loaded on three account and bought ‘pro’ . The app on numerous occasions refuses to recognise I have a pro account. It also requires be to re-authenticate and add all account details on a number of occasions - frustratingly to use is an understatement. I am now seeking reimbursement from Apple. ### 1/5 — Paywalls Basic Bluesky Settings *2026-03-09* I’ve turned off reposts on Bluesky. This app ignores that setting. To enable it you have to pay for Pro. That’s a hard pass from me. **Developer response:** Greetings! As a quick update, version 1.4.1 has removed this setting from being a Pro/paid feature, and it is now available for all users. I hope this improves your experience with Skyscraper. Thanks for checking out my app! ### 2/5 — Nice but frustrating *2026-08-24* This is a really nice looking native ipad bluesky app... When it works. The problem is that it repeatedly asks you to sign in over and over and over again. If I'm gonna have to resign into bluesky every time I use the app, then I'm just not going to use it anymore. **Developer response:** Hey there and thanks for using Skyscraper. Bluesky’s OAuth implementation limits the amount of time an account can be logged in, and requires consistent token refreshes. This can be a problem on iOS where an app can’t live persistently in the background and refresh automatically. If you have this issue, we recommend you consider creating an app password on the Bluesky app/website, and login using this instead. This login method can persist much longer and resolve this issue for you. ### 2/5 — Developer can’t get out of the way *2026-07-03* Very good app. But it’s being constantly updated with very minor bells and whistles and the app is constantly unusable because of all the problems it creates. Just get it consistently functioning and tested better. ### 2/5 — Missing core features *2026-04-15* It’s bad enough asking for a subscription fee to access features that were already available in the official app, like account switching, but removing core functionality that’s been around and part of peoples’ workflows since the Twitter days is ridiculous. For instance, why on earth is the media tab inaccessible on users’ profiles? Those of us who are artists and photographers rely on this functionality to make use of the app. This is not a niche option that a few people use here and there - it’s one of the most often visited parts of the site. It’s frustrating to not have the official app in full screen on iPad, believe me, but so far every alternative is even worse - including this one. **Developer response:** Hey there, as a quick note, Media tabs have been added to user profiles with 1.4.1 that is out now. Just needs one fix. *2026-07-11* Okay new problem. It logged me out and says I have to log back in. Why? This is a cool alternative to the Bluesky app. It takes a little to get adjusted to. But, I just noticed something. Under Notifications, it was something like John Doe and x Others followed you. But, when you tap it, it only shows John Doe’s profile and doesn’t show a list of the other x people. **Developer response:** Edit July 13th: FYI, this has been fixed and is pushed to the store in version 1.5.1! Specifically with some OAuth login problems, I've updated to hopefully improve based off recently released guidance from Bluesky. I hope this resolves your issues, and I have more ideas I will be working into future updates. The lack of a media tab, extremely limited reply and repost history it will fetch, and the lack of saved position on profiles that are all default in the standard experience is holding this review back from being a 5 star rating. **Developer response:** Greetings and thanks for the review. The latest update (1.4.1) brings the Media tab to profiles, and also should significantly improve the saved position in the timeline when you are going back and forth on a profile. It has a variety of other improvements as well. There’s inexplicably no obvious way to label media when you upload it. The built in app tips offer no guidance. It doesn’t look like the developer has mapped that functionality to the BlueSky API. **Developer response:** Thanks for the review!
