### 3/5 — Outdated

*2026-08-28, version 3.8.7*

Used this app for years - unfortunately the App often freezes on the splash screen and doesn’t show updated satellite or telescopes.

### 3/5 — Calibration getting worse

*2026-08-12, version 3.8.7*

Fab when it works but the calibration is really off - seems to be worse every time I open it. You can only calibrate manually side to side and not up and down, so no help when everything is massively too low on the screen. This is a paid app, so please fix.

### 2/5 — International Space Station Error

*2026-08-10, version 3.8.7*

Just went outside and watched the International Space Station go over. Went onto SkyView to help locate it and couldn’t find it in the location it was suppose to come from. Found it when I pointed my screen towards the ground (the other side of the world). Jupiter was above me as per my eyes and the app and I watched the space station pass very near it from the NW. Checked with other programs and confirmed it was the space station I was watching. Never had this issue before?????

### 2/5 — Satellites.

*2026-05-31, version 3.8.7*

I used to be able to see all the satellites on this app with my old phone. I redownloaded this app and still have satellites enabled but absolutely nothing pops up. Disappointing..

### 4/5 — Missing a telescope?

*2026-05-30, version 3.8.7*

It is a good app but the James Webb telescope is not part of the app. At least I can find the Hubble.

### 5/5 — The best astronomy app.

*2026-05-25, version 3.8.7*

This is one of the best ways to explore space, right at your fingertips. There’s no ads! You can explore, look at stars even during the broad daylight, you can find your favorite space objects, you can read information on rocket bodies, you can view planet alignments, you can even look at constellations, and an image of something, which, is supposed to resemble the constellations of which you are looking at. I never even knew that Orion was a constellation, therefore that Betelgeuse was within the constellation of Orion. I could not have guessed that Orion was a constellation, and Betelgeuse was a star inside Orion, was even a thing. That’s why I love Skyview. This is my favorite educational app I have ever downloaded. You can learn about ANYTHING about space, and watch the sky. I am telling you, Skyview is one of the best apps ever. You can view all of your favorite stars, galaxies, nebulae, planets, constellations, even literal rockets and satellites. I love that when the camera is off, the background looks, fantastic! I love how you can learn something by every tap. Find a star, tap it, and watch how all this information pops up. The name, its precise location and where it is going, and a cool fun fact.
Observe. Observe the true nature of this app.
Skyview is awesome.
How many times did I say this apps name?

### 5/5 — Literally the Best Space App

*2026-05-09, version 3.8.7*

I absolutely love this app because I personally love space and this app shows me everything. Tonight I saw two really bright stars and wanted to find out which planets they were. It turns out that it was Jupiter and Venus! I love this app because it tells you about the planets, satellites, and the stars. It even has NO ADS! That is a big win win! Definitely the best space app for any universe lover out there! #1!

### 2/5 — Broken

*2026-05-08, version 3.8.7*

I don’t know why the app all of a sudden is broken. It’s stuck on north. Doing the same thing in the NASA app.

### 5/5 — 10/10

*2026-04-19, version 3.8.7*

My go to app for anything related to the stars. Been using it for about 4 years. Never fails to amaze me. Worth the purchase!

### 3/5 — Missing satellites

*2026-04-06, version 3.8.7*

I’ve had the free version for a long time, and decided to get the full version for more things. But with the full version it says you can see the satellites like the ISS. It doesn’t let me see the ISS which is the main reason I got the app.

### 5/5 — Artemis Missions?

*2026-04-04, version 3.8.7*

Developers, will you guys include Artemis missions trackers here?

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-03-26, version 3.8.7*

Have had this app for years and still use it several times a week to identify stars. And now my young child is interested in looking at stars and using this app.

### 5/5 — Love SkyView!

*2026-03-22, version 3.8.7*

Photography is my hobby and I love shooting night sky events. I’ve been using SkyView for many years to locate and track these events - lunar eclipses, meteor showers, solar eclipses, etc.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Why does it not work

*2026-08-14, version 3.8.7*

I have tried everything. Nothing changes. It is fixed on one star, it does not rotate. Yes, all my settings are correct. I deleted, redownloaded, and it still has the same problem.

### 1/5 — Highway Robbery???

*2026-08-13, version 3.8.7*

I've been a long time supporter of this app. Purchased possibly ovr a decade ago and enjoyed using it up to this point... where my enjoyment ends is upon realising they have removed features that were already built into the paid version and putting them behind a paywall add-on.

The description stating you can view satallites was accurate before but no longer. That is now an additional payment that is not included with the app. Misleading and theft when many of us already paid for that feature.

Save your money and find an online starchart

### 1/5 — No satellites

*2026-07-29, version 3.8.7*

No matter how many times i fix the settings no satellites will show up on mine. I downloaded the premium version thinking this would fix the problem but still nothing

### 1/5 — Directional issues

*2026-07-18, version 3.8.7*

Please tell me how the moon is North according to this app but I literally see it West….

### 1/5 — Needs updating

*2026-06-19, version 3.8.7*

Almost every time i open this app i have to manually rotate the world so the the ai picture and the actual background match.

### 1/5 — Won’t calibrate to my location

*2026-06-10, version 3.8.7*

App use to work really well up until the end of last year 2025. Now it says Ursa Major is behind me when it actually right in front of me. No matter how many times I re-calibrate to my location it still show stars in the wrong place. Please fix this or else it will be another star gazing app that gets deleted from my phone and I will tell all of my star gazing buddies to delete it too. Very disappointed.

### 1/5 — Unable to find comet 2025 R3 on the app

*2026-04-30, version 3.8.7*

Shouldn’t be hard. What am I missing

### 1/5 — I was charged and didn’t order it!

*2026-03-15, version 3.8.7*

I cannot figure out what I clicked on but I was charged and cannot contact anyone to gain a refund. Do not download! You’ll be charged without your consent!

### 1/5 — Quit working

*2026-03-12, version 3.8.7*

My SkyView quit working and wants me to enter in a hardware code. Submitted a request for help with no reply. Avoid and find another app that has good support.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work with phone case

*2026-03-11, version 3.8.7*

Please provide a fix to the issue with the app not working when the phone has a case. I removed the case and the app worked fine. I placed the phone back in the case and the app will not work. It remains stuck with a North geo point in the middle and will not function. People shouldn’t have to remove their case to utilize an app. Others have posted the issue here for weeks. It’s about time to resolve it.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Best stargazing app. Get the premium

*2026-08-19, version 3.8.7*

This is literally the best app. There is so much good with it I cant even type it all here, get it and find out for yourself.

### 5/5 — Some objects take time to download

*2026-08-17, version 3.8.7*

At first I couldn’t even see Hubble, ISS and other objects but these appeared overnight so guess the app needs time to sync or download all data.

### 5/5 — A great app!

*2026-08-01, version 3.8.7*

This app is amazing. I just got into astronomy and this app was a wonderful choice for seeing what lies in the night sky. I’ve been using this app for almost every day now and its an amazing app!

### 5/5 — Calibration Wrong

*2026-07-18, version 3.8.7*

I have tried to recalibrate both automatic & manual. Allowed it to use my location & it is way off! Very frustrating & annoying!

### 5/5 — Best iPhone sky app

*2026-07-16, version 3.8.7*

I have had this app for years now and I want to encourage others to buy it it truly is brilliant

### 5/5 — USE THIS APP!

*2026-07-16, version 3.8.7*

This app is the best space app ever. I got to say it has some bugs but overall it is the best.

### 5/5 — Amazing but a few things

*2026-07-15, version 3.8.7*

What I love about this app is how you can point your phone at any location and see where a star or a planet or anything will end up in X amount of minutes. I also love how you can use your camera to make sure your calibrated well enough.

This app is cool and it is good for viewing all sorts of things but it already costs money and it has a second satellite purchase thing and it could be a hassle for some people so maybe include the satellite purchase with this or lower the price on either one.

Second, try adding the James Webb Telescope to this app because you have Hubble and the ISS on here. I saw another guy complain about this too. Other than these it’s a great app and it’s great for viewing the night sky.

Suggestions:
-Maybe add a constellation checklist to keep you looking at the night sky.
-Improve the UI a bit and add IPhone widgets.
-Add a checklist for all kinds of things to spy on.

### 5/5 — So happy with the upgrade

*2026-07-04, version 3.8.7*

Recently bought a telescope and was looking for a free app. Lite is a great version however I was soon hooked and wanted more. For a very reasonable price, I upgraded and have been thrilled with the app. Highly recommend!!

### 5/5 — Excellently educational and

*2026-06-15, version 3.8.7*

I’ve had this all on my phone for years and years. I am always amazed when I find myself exploring inside the app and it’s awesome to see others in awe when I’m able to identify and track a specific visible body in the sky. Very comprehensive descriptions and visual representations of the map of the sky—what is seen and not seen as you look up. Packed with features like Augmented Reality mode, nighttime lighting filters, orbit tracing, supplemental soundscapes, floating constellations, and much more. The app does not use or store any data from the user. Simply a must-have app!

### 5/5 — The Views

*2026-06-09, version 3.8.7*

Great app, I’ve been using it for many years now.
