## What is SkyWrit?

SkyWrit turns your airplane window into a discovery experience.

As you fly, a live horizon bar shows the mountains, cities, national parks, lakes, and landmarks visible from your seat, updated in real time based on your position, heading, and altitude. Ever slept through the Gand Canyon? SkyWrit knows what's out there before you do.

HOW IT WORKS
Tell SkyWrit your flight number and which side of the plane you're sitting on. The app loads every notable landmark along your path and begins tracking as you climb. A gaming-style navigation bar slides landmarks into view as they become visible and track them as they pass. Tap any marker to learn more!

DISCOVERIES
Get your neck a rest. When iconic landmarks enter your viewing window — Mount Rainier, the Grand Canyon, Manhattan — SkyWrit alerts you in advance so you don't miss your moment. A notification fires 2–3 minutes before peak visibility. A cinematic banner appears when you're looking right at it.

CAPTURE
Photograph the view with landmark labels overlaid. Export a composed flight story to your camera roll and share anywhere.

DESIGNED FOR FLIGHTS
Works offline. No AR gimmicks — just bearing, distance, and geography done right. Covers most US domestic routes. No account required.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-03

### 1.0.1 — 2026-06-06

• New welcome flow walks you through what SkyWrit shows and how to use it
• Mini-map airplane icon now stays perfectly aligned with your real position
• Cleaner landmark labels — smarter prioritization and 2-lane staggering reduce overlap on busy corridors
