I didn't expect to like this game as much as I did. The characters all have such depth and feeling to them. This was an emotional ride. I wish I could forget it so I could play it again.

I love the length of gameplay, the amount of the choices and the storyline, I'm a huge wrestling fan, and found this to be really well done and easy to play, the challenging, well written storyline really draws you in, would love to play more similar

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2016-08-16, version 1.2.2*

Easily the best game I have played YET played from Choice of Games. Maybe the first text based game in which it filled me with excitement. Keep them going.

### 5/5 — Excellent game!!

*2016-08-11, version 1.2.2*

I had a lot of fun playing this game, I'm a big wrestling fan and I was so excited when I found this game, written and crafted very well!

### 5/5 — One of the Best CoG

*2016-05-23*

Alright so I know absolutely nothing about wrestling. I bought this game on a whim and I slowly but surely fell in love. It was a bit confusing at first but once I got a little more understanding for the terminology I had a lot of fun.

It's well-written, interesting, and I actually felt like I had a connection with all the different characters. That said though it was a bit slow at times, but the action kept it from dragging out too long. I laughed out loud a few times so that was great.

I have replayed this game three times so far and still can't bring myself to turn heel or romance a different character. I'm in too deep.

Overall it's solid and earns 5 stars from me personally. I now kind of want to get into wrestling.

### 5/5 — Great game

*2016-05-02, version 1.2.2*

I love this game played it multiple times to get all achievements and see the different turns the story takes definitely need to make a sequel if not multiple sequels

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2016-04-04*

It's well-written, has likeable characters, it actually feels like your choices impact the story, it's very in-depth and I found it very enjoyable as a wrestling fan.

I can't think of anything bad about it.

### 5/5 — More please...

*2016-03-17*

Best 'choice' game I've played by far. Really good, in depth and genuinely shocking in parts. Some of the swerves brought a real smile to my face. And the wink & nods to past and present real-life wrestling was a nice touch too.

Hopefully there's more to come.

### 5/5 — Good wrestling game

*2016-02-07, version 1.2.1*

I'm a big fan of wrestling and a big fan of choose-your-own-adventure games, so this combines the best of both worlds!

### 5/5 — KirantheRay

*2015-12-06, version 1.2.1*

Amazing!!! Could you possibly make it so the game doesn't have to end? Like where you can continue after fighting JJ

### 5/5 — Holds the App Store Championship

*2015-08-14*

There is no other game like this. The beauty is in its simplicity. There's no graphics, no sound effects, no glitz and glamour; it is simply a great GAME. I have never been so immersed in another world before. I fell so deeply in love with this game that even when I wasn't playing it I was daydreaming and letting my imagination continue the story. Simply put, this game is the best on the App Store, bar none.

The story is amazing. Whether you're a wrestling fan (me) or not (my brother), this story will pull you in. You're in for the ride of your life. The characters come to life like no others. You will feel every bit of the ups and downs of the plot and storylines.

It's also worth noting that I didn't believe much in replay value before owning Slammed! There are so many variations you can uncover that each playthrough is a unique experience.

The price is a steal. Buy now, thank me later.

### 5/5 — Hard to Top This One.....

*2015-07-08, version 1.2.1*

...you should try though.

### 5/5 — Buy this game.

*2015-07-07, version 1.2.1*

Fantastic story. Very well written and plenty of swerves to keep you guessing.

### 5/5 — Make a sequel

*2015-06-29, version 1.2.1*

It's time. It's time.

### 5/5 — So many plot twists

*2015-04-17, version 1.2.1*

At first I didn't think this game was going to be that good, mainly because I'm not that interested in wrestling, but I gave it a shot and it was amazing there are a ridiculous number of plot twists in this game. I thought I got a handle on the game then something unexpected happened. This is a great game. Wish I could give it more stars

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn't work. Freezes on iOS 9

*2015-09-20, version 1.2.1*

Don't buy until fixed.

### 1/5 — Lame

*2014-09-25, version 1.1.3*

No worth the time or money. Do yourself a favor and move on to something else. Lame.

### 1/5 — Bad

*2013-07-29, version 1.1.0*

This is really stupid and disappointing the only good COG/HG games are life of a wizard and Zombie Exodus, this is no where near as good as either of them 😞

### 2/5 — Fun at first

*2016-02-22*

It was fun and easy to get into but theres a bug only on the app. Right after getting into the car wreck during the flashback, if you didnt drink you can go along with JJ's plan, but when you fight him, either choice you pick glitches the game and you cant proceed past that, same thing happens if you call the ambulance. Fix it, then 5 stars

### 2/5 — Not enough choices

*2013-12-01, version 1.1.2*

Too much story without enough choices (in general) that I feel really impact the story. And the way Griss floats in and out of the tale is incredibly unbelievable. The way you get kicked out of wrestling without being able to defend yourself (stinks) or why JJ hates you so much for calling the ambulance (there should have been a choice there too) the story is too lengthy, and I feel like no matter what choices you chose, you probably will ultimately end up doing the same thing.

### 3/5 — Fun but boring

*2014-08-18, version 1.1.3*

I very munch enjoy choice of games but I thought that this one was a bit slow. It needs more action

### 3/5 — Ready to rumble

*2013-07-14, version 1.0.0*

This cog game is very similar to the movie ready to rumble. And is a great wrestling cog game.

### 4/5 — Great Fun, But Could Be Greater!

*2014-01-08, version 1.1.3*

I had seen this game a long while ago, and bought it on a whim. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, but I found myself getting a little bored. Let me explain...

The story starts out great, but right away the linearity begins. No matter what you do, you wind up in a particular spot. Granted, to make it more expansive, it would take a lot more work. I wouldn't have minded different storylines, like becoming a jobber, or become the tag champion, but no, there's really only two right endings from what I've gotten. I would have also liked participating in more matches, those were the highlights to me, and kept me from getting bored.

What the game does get right is the characters, they all feel real (For pro-wrestling) and they're plenty of them. Beyond that the game feels good, you get maybe an hour and a half, and you're done, but there are more endings than one, just don't hold your breath on variation. Also, there is heavy imagery in the text, I can "see" everything going on in vivid detail.

At the end of the day, I just wanted more, especially for $4. Very few games are worth that to me, and this isn't there yet. Unless you really like pro-wrestling, I wouldn't pick this up at current price.

### 4/5 — Pretty awesome

*2013-11-02, version 1.1.2*

A chose your own adventure type game.

### 4/5 — Awesome once you get into it

*2013-07-22*

I've played my fair share of cog's and this one turned out pretty great. You don't need that much knowledge of professional wrestling to play, and while at some parts it may confuse you a little, it really picks up at a point. A great, long story. I'm glad I purchased it.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fire would love to see another one

*2022-01-05*

Please make another one

### 5/5 — One of a kind

*2022-01-02*

This is such an amazing experience. Not being a huge wrestling fan, or even a reader this still drew me in. I felt as if I was not only part of the story, but it was actually far more interactive than most video games. My only hope is that there is a sequel or similar game books with this level of finesse.

Absolutely recommend!

### 5/5 — Amazing!

*2021-06-28*

This game was so amazing to play, I’ve played it over and over again. The one thing I wish it had was a chapter select sort of mechanic, but other than that, it was super good!

### 5/5 — Just... Amazing

*2020-07-05*

It is well worth the money it costs. One play through and I’m hooked. Fantastic game

### 5/5 — Butterfly effect in the ring

*2020-05-28*

The words Chaos Theory certainly rings true in this game. I’ve played a few complete playthroughs in order to try and replicate my first game, in order to reread several scenes and do better in several matches.

Somehow, I made a choice somewhere that turned a romance into a public love triangle and I literally dropped the phone on the desk and said “No freaking way...”. It literally stopped me for a while as it was a tremendous shock.

Every non-scripted match feels like you could/can lose (and you can). I lost the second to last match this last time, but one the final one. Whereas the first time the opposite happened.

The stats change based on your performances, the romances feel earned and real, and the story is overall really well done. I haven’t watched wrestling for years, but man did it bring back memories from when I did.

The only serious frustration, is that there isn’t any save slots. This game begs for the ability to experiment. I’ve enjoyed making new playthroughs, but in those truly impactful moments I’d kill for a save slot. A couple odd characters aren’t utilized enough, and there are several points where I’d kill for more options.

Overall though a wonderfully written story and game. Well done and worth the money.

### 5/5 — Nostalgia

*2019-01-31*

The entire game reminded me of watching Monday night RAW and Smackdown as a child and being so invested into each and every storyline and wishing to one day be in that very same ring! And the story that you become immersed in allows you to become apart of that.

It’s lengthy and well written and well worth the money, How you shape your wrestler and the choices you make matter down the line which is what makes the story so good! If your a fan of wrestling I highly suggest you play this game.

### 5/5 — I want more!!

*2019-01-05*

Please make more wrestling-based stories

### 5/5 — Fun read with replay ability.....

*2018-01-01*

Simply a great read.

### 5/5 — One of the best!

*2017-10-26*

The story was great, the characters memorable and your choices really mattered. The setting is incredibly unique compared to most and I’ve always loved wrestling and this made it even better

### 5/5 — More than an App

*2017-10-07*

I never write reviews, but this one changed my mind. It’s a must have for any wrestling fan, or anyone who enjoys a genuine emotional journey. Very much worth full price.
