Now this app won’t send me any of my verification codes. I tried to get a new number and someone else phone it won’t send any of the codes. I am impressed with its functions and speed of translations. However, the app crashes often and a quick close and restart works every time. Also, typing… the chirp key click becomes distorted at times while typing. Also, a little bit of freezing for 3-5 seconds when an incoming message is coming while typing. Using an iPhone 13 pro 256GB and it is only 3 weeks old… ### 3/5 — Didn’t save offline messages. *2022-06-10, version 1.5.13* I tried writing a long review that praised this app all for it to vanish as I finished it. Was trying to point out the positives but let’s focus on the problem. The big problem. This app does not save texts to other people if they are offline. So if you text them offline. They will never get the message. ### 4/5 — Need improvement. *2022-05-09, version 1.5.13* This is the best auto-translating messenger ever! Very useful for gamers. In our clan 100 players. Also we want to create a community of 1000+ players in 1 messenger. But we are facing a problem right now with some languages not showing messages. 1) It is not showing Vietnamese messages. It just stays empty. 2) Many players don’t want to share their phone numbers. Need to make it anonymous. Add registration feature, where you can use profile id to add people. 3) this is like whats app I assume. Good enough but could be better, if users could create albums, relays, save links and files. So you can check it any time easily. Without scrolling up. Similar to LINE, Discord, Telegram. ### 3/5 — Great App - no longer works and no support *2022-05-06, version 1.5.13* This app was amazing. Basically a standard messaging app with real-time translation, just set your language and type. The recipient would do the same. I would use this to type in English and the recorder see my message in Spanish. It was amazing! A few weeks ago it stopped working. The translation was no long occurring. Contacted support by multiple methods (email / inapp suppport button) a few times. Never got any response. I just checked the update log and see there hasn’t been an update in a while. Maybe the developer is no longer supporting the app. If so, that’s too bad. It’s a great app. I haven’t seen anything else there’s as well. Worth buying. RIP Slatch. ### 2/5 — Needs an update *2022-04-20, version 1.5.13* App used to work fine and translate text messages but recently it constantly crashes and now does not translate at all. Spanish to English translation is blank. App freezes at launch all the time. Please update the app. ### 3/5 — Great concept and idea. *2021-12-12, version 1.5.13* This is a great app for instant translating messages. Only downside is that it’s very slow when translating. If you’re trying to type while a message is coming in the keyboard will glitch. I cannot see message previews on my home screen even though I have all the settings turned on on my phone to allow this. ### 4/5 — Needs more *2021-07-21, version 1.5.12* Good idea with translation but there should be a user ID area and ability to invite people with a user ID instead of just a phone number. App can’t tell time my replies show above my messages if they are sent timely. I assume my phone and friends phone have different times by a few minutes. The more annoying is the app cries wolf a lot. Beeps with no messages this happens almost every conversation a few times till we get aggravated by it and end conversation. So happy to have discovered Slatch! Those of us in America who prefer to chat in English can do so and our Italian cousins see our chat in Italian. When they reply in Italian, we see it translated into English. The language barrier is removed and it’s like we are all speaking the same language. Now I’m starting to think how to use Slatch for my business to make it easier to communicate internationally. Slatch is showing us what the future of international communication will be.
