## What is Slate?

Slate is training wheels for short films. Have an idea for a short but no idea where to start? Slate walks you through the whole thing, one shot at a time.

Brainstorm your concept in a guided chat, and Slate turns it into a numbered storyboard — a clear, editable shot list. Then the camera takes over: it shows you one shot at a time with your storyboard overlaid as a guide, a teleprompter for your lines, framing guides, and a duration ring so you nail each take. When you're done filming, Slate stitches your clips together in order into a finished short. Paint-by-number for filmmaking.
