I’ve tried scanning my bar code multiple times and can’t get it to take it. I’ll just have to call or visit the Library. ### 2/5 — FIX: Sort holds with HELD at top of list *2023-06-07* The hold list used to show HELD holds at the top so you could quickly see what was ready for pickup. Holds now sort alphabetically by status, so ACTIVE holds are at the top, then HELD holds are below, so you have to scroll down through unfulfilled holds to find the list of items ready to be picked up. This isn’t user friendly — please restore the old sorting order with HELD items at the top of the list ### 3/5 — Functional *2022-12-06, version 2021.1* So far so good ### 2/5 — Still glitches *2021-06-12* This updated app looks better but continues to be as glitchy as the old one. As with the old app when this happens the website is always the reliable option. I’ve also found that some searches on this app show an item isn’t available but when you search on the website it is available. There isn’t a alternative to this app ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2021-05-31* Just when it was mostly working, the developers decided to “improve” it and now it doesn’t work at all on my Apple phone. UI + CMS = 🙌🏽😎🔥👍 ### 1/5 — Don't update to v. 2021.1 *2021-05-12, version 2021.1* On my iPad, the app claims "unable to connect to server" and tells me to check my network connection, when I have a perfectly good wifi Internet connection. I suppose I'll have to use the website until they sort out the app. UPDATE: Eventually, it decided to start working, though not without hiccups. Login took 8 tries over half an hour, claiming server problems, though the website responded instantly. A search seemed to freeze the app for several minutes, before coughing up a result. Not sure how it's supposed to be better than the old app, which worked fine and required less poking to get what I needed. ### 1/5 — Won’t open on new iOS (14) *2020-11-03, version 10.0.13* Won’t open on new iOS (14) ### 1/5 — App Won’t even open *2019-10-08, version 10.0.13* Open the app and it says to update the app. I go to tha Apple store and it says the app is four days old. No download feature. Endless loop. ### 1/5 — Very slow responding... *2019-06-10, version 9.4.3* This app is very slow responding and it is not a native app and seems like a webapp. There are so many bugs and hard to list it out because with naked eye each one can pick easily. So please redesign this app and use some fast responsive webservice. There’s just ONE thing that would make it excellent - a Wish List. There are so many times I’ll pop into the library and pass a whole section of books that I want to grab but know that I won’t be able to read them all before they’re due back. But then I forget what they are once I’m back at the library. A Wish List within this app would be super helpful because it could include the ISBN number and allow you to request it for pickup all within the app! :) ### 1/5 — Home page *2019-02-18, version 9.4.3* Home page will not open. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Change it back to “Pickup by / / ” *2025-05-20* Please change the holds page back to simply saying “Pickup by ##/##/####”. You have lengthened this phrase unnecessarily to “Pick up by close of business on: ##/##/####” which is WAY too long to be visible on my phone screen so I cannot see the pickup date deadline on any of my held items, making this absolutely worthless. All I can see is “Pick up by close of business on: 5/…” — cutting off the most important thing, the date! “By close of business on” is a totally obvious and superfluous phrase, get rid of it so that we can see what really matters: the pickup date deadline!!! If you absolutely must use that entire phrase then you need to make sure that line wraps down to the next line if it cannot fit completely on the screen as a single line. ### 1/5 — No Lists *2023-07-09* There is no way to view your lists or add books to them through the app, which is the only reason I downloaded it in the first place. ### 1/5 — Why is the age restriction is 17+? *2022-06-27* I wanted to give access to my teen daughter but this restriction messes it up ### 1/5 — Did someone get paid big bucks for ruining the app *2021-07-02* ugh ### 1/5 — Fix it! *2021-06-15* Fix the app! Never had this issue in the past. I just get stuck with a loading screen anytime I try to do a search, no matter what. The website seems to be doing the exact same thing. This actually renders the library completely useless to me right now because now I can’t even browse their catalogue to check if something I need is even at my location. No issues as of that but they don’t send a notification so u have to check everyday to see if u can pick ur hold up. Idk why everyone hates it tho its simple and generally not bad ### 5/5 — Pretty good app! *2024-07-28* For a public library, this is a pretty good app. I love being able to Self-Checkout and have my barcode on my phone. If you have a library card, just download the app, you won’t regret it. ### 5/5 — Works well, just missing a few features. *2023-05-01* The app is quick, I find what book I need 98% of the time. The librarian chat option is AMAZING, they always help find what I need. But if you close the app by mistake the entire history of the chat disappears. They need more search filters on books and different medias. If it’s possible to add recommendations based on what we checked out or show the next volume of a book we borrowed. I would very much like being able to see my entire checked out book history, on the app. It would be great to see if the library needs donations, so we can help support them. For example if they need jigsaw puzzles or printer paper. Everyone should take the time to visit their local library at least once a month to check out what they offer. It’s a wonderful experience. ### 5/5 — Love the new look! *2021-09-07* I really like the new version. It’s way more user friendly and easy to get what you need. ### 5/5 — Events and Classes *2019-01-30, version 9.4.3* I find this feature very convenient. I can filter a search by location/audience/type which makes narrowing my search much easier. I can also choose an option to filter events that are occurring just for that day. Once I find what I’m looking for, I am also able to sign up for the event/class in the app which is very handy! ### 5/5 — Fantastic! Much Improved! *2019-01-30, version 9.4.3* The recently (2018/2019) updated version of this app solved or fixed most if not all of the issues that we all had complaints about. It is definitely much easier than using the website, especially on a mobile device. I use the app to place and check on my holds, browse the catalog, among many other things. It would be great to be able to view multiple library cards at once though, or to be able to toggle between them without having to login/logout. ### 5/5 — What Happened? *2018-02-25, version 9.4.3* I can no longer request a dvd or book. The due soon, overdue, and ready for pickup notifications on the front page of the app are also great additions. THANK YOU! The app does have the “Save for Later” feature, but does not seem to have access to my already existing list created on the library website, because the app says I need to make a list before saving anything.
