## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.1.6 — 2026-07-29

This is a big one — Sleep Phase Tracker has been rebuilt from the ground up since your last update.

WHAT'S NEW
• Redesigned interface with clearer, color-coded cards and bolder buttons throughout
• "Steps" are now "Phases" — track your progress with a configurable number of phases tailored to your protocol
• Streaks: track your consecutive on-time nights toward your next phase, with an editable target
• New sleep-window chart shows your bed-to-wake pattern at a glance, plus an overlay view to spot trends across nights
• Clock-aware reminders — the app now knows if you're still in your overnight window, so you won't get a "did you sleep?" prompt while you're still up
• Strict/Lenient on-time tolerance toggle to match how forgiving you want your schedule to be
• Simplified pause, resume, and restart — one clear flow, and nothing is ever deleted
• Clearer progress-to-goal stats so you can see exactly how close you are
• A future-dated protocol start no longer takes effect early — your current schedule stays active until the date you chose
• Dozens of smaller fixes and polish across every screen

As always: your logs and history are never touched by any of these changes. If you're mid-protocol, everything picks up right where you left off.

### 1.5.1 — 2026-07-01

Add a Pause function.

Fixed badges.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-06-26

This release adds depth to what you track each night and makes it easier to find and fill in past nights at a glance.

NEW — Difficulty ratings
Rate how hard it was to fall asleep and how hard it was to wake up, each on a 1–5 scale. Both are optional. Tap a selected rating again to clear it.

NEW — Difficulty pattern advice
After five or more consecutive nights rated as difficult, the app offers a specific, clinically-framed observation alongside your usual post-save message — so you can consider what to try rather than simply noting the pattern.

NEW — Tonight's plan
The Home screen now shows a single card with your bedtime, wake time, melatonin timing, bright-light cutoff, and light therapy time together. In maintenance mode, the card labels the wake time as the anchor and the bedtime as the flexible target.

NEW — Light therapy reminder
A new reminder on the Schedule tab fires at your wake time each morning to prompt light therapy. It follows your schedule automatically.

IMPROVED — Date picker on Log
Tap the date header on the Log screen to open a scrollable list of the past 90 tracked nights, color-coded so gaps are easy to spot and backfill.

IMPROVED — Notes keyboard toolbar
A Done button now appears above the keyboard when you edit the Notes field.

No data is affected — your logs, schedule, and history are unchanged.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-06-19

This release makes logging faster and harder to get wrong, and adds a few touches that keep you oriented.

NEW — Wheel time entry everywhere
Set your bed time, wake time, nap length, and every schedule setting with a tap-to-open wheel — hours, minutes, and AM/PM. No more typing times by hand.

NEW — Title bar on every screen
Each tab now shows the app mark, the Sleep Phase Tracker name, and the screen you're on, in light and dark mode.

NEW — Missed-night app-icon badge
The app icon shows a small badge counting nights you haven't logged yet, so a forgotten entry doesn't quietly slip by. It clears when you catch up.

IMPROVED — Impossible times are caught before they're saved
If a bed-to-wake window comes out longer than 16 hours — almost always an AM/PM mix-up — the app now asks which you meant and offers the corrected time, instead of letting a 19-hour "night" distort your charts. Real short or unusual nights are always accepted without a prompt.

No data is affected — your logs, schedule, and history are unchanged.

### 1.3.1 — 2026-06-16

This release fixes a display bug in the Progress tab.

FIXED — Wake Time vs Target chart
A night whose wake time fell on the other side of midnight from your
target could appear as one oversized bar, flattening every other day and
making the chart hard to read. Wake offsets are now measured the short way
around the clock, so each bar reflects how far off that morning actually
was.

FIXED — Average wake drift
The same near-midnight entries no longer skew the average drift shown on
the Home screen.

FIXED — Consistent late / early minute counts
The "minutes late" figure on Home now matches the on-time check used
elsewhere in the app, including across midnight.

No data is affected. This corrects how existing entries are displayed —
your logs, schedule, and history are unchanged.
