The connection instructions were very difficult to follow, and customer service was worthless (he told me he was reading the setup instructions, slowly; I finally hung up). Once my more Web-experienced spouse helped, we finally set up the app. Hope the device itself is better than the setup process (at least for relatively tech-naive people). ### 2/5 — Having to sign up with an email since the update?? *2025-12-01* The update with making patients have to Sign in with Apple ID or an email is extremely annoying. A lot of patients do not want to put in that information, or know their passwords. no option to even bypass it. They get a patient ID from us, I don’t see why they must put in an email and login with that. makes the process much more difficult. ### 3/5 — Doesn’t capture data *2025-11-07, version 1.13.10* The Bluetooth connection is not very good. ### 2/5 — App Crashes or Stops A LOT *2025-09-26* When running the app overnight during a study, it becomes disconnected from the device even following all the requirements such as disconnecting all other Bluetooth devices, keeping power on to your phone, keeping your phone with you, etc. The net result is be very prepared to repeat the study multiples of times over multiple days/ nights until the “data” is captured. The stability or usability of this app should be considered and definitely redesigned. It is critically flawed. ### 1/5 — Janky App *2024-11-20* Used this app for an at home sleep study coupled with the bulky thumb ring. In the morning I made sure the data uploaded successfully but lo and behold they cannot find my data anywhere so I have to do another sleep study. Nothing was fixed or wrong the first time we’re just aimlessly trying again to see if this time the garbage app works correctly. ### 1/5 — Hardly works *2024-09-18, version 1.13.8* Recorded all night and it doesn’t show up in the history. My time is wasted because someone didn’t want to pay the developers enough to make a non-buggy app. Embarrassment of a product ### 1/5 — This is the least user friendly app I have ever used *2024-08-21, version 1.13.6* Trust me: zero usability and zero reliability. ### 4/5 — Sleep *2024-06-18* Sleeping with devise very easy . Only problem I encountered was my blue tooth was off when firststarted the appl took many attempts to correct this got locked into connection mode . It would be a perfectly easy app if instructions said make sure blue tooth on before opening and starting app , thank you for a convenient service ### 1/5 — Another worthless app from BLACKSTONE *2024-05-02* Sleep study was ordered by my doctor and unfortunately it was through BLACKSTONE SLEEP. Their own app was worthless (look up the reviews) with all 47 reviews reporting ongoing problems. Their inept customer service department sent me the link to this 3rd party app and it’s as worthless as their own app. Dozens of calls to their company and even more emails went unanswered and not addressed. Wait times up to 45 minutes. Now they are sending threatening texts saying they are charging my insurance company LATE FEES because I did not complete the study!!!!!!!!!!! And even though the defective ring was returned and received at the company they are STILL calling me asking when I will complete the study!!!! DOCTORS PLEASE STOP USING THIS COMPANY UNTIL THEY STRAIGHTEN THEIR ACT UP. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM !!!!!!! ### 1/5 — Another worthless app from BLACKSTONE *2024-04-28* Sleep study was ordered by my doctor and unfortunately it was through BLACKSTONE SLEEP. Their own app was worthless (look up the reviews) with all 47 reviews reporting ongoing problems. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM !!!!!!!’n ### 1/5 — Noone knows what they are doing. *2024-04-17, version 1.13.6* Tech loaded app on my phone, took ring home, put on my finger, returned next day. Waited a week, no one could find results, then I get message results are in, then was told to uninstall and reinstall. What a waste of time. And I still don’t know if I have sleep apnea or not; Totally annoyed. ### 1/5 — Frustrated *2024-04-12, version 1.13.6* This sleep study is not for me, I have tried for several days to do a sleep study and failed it isn’t friendly and there is no one available to help when you need it at bedtime. I will try again tomorrow but I am not expecting to do any better. ### 1/5 — Blackstone in it’s own as a company is junk *2024-04-02, version 1.13.6* This is the second all suggested and is just as bad as the first. Feels like Blackstone is more concerned about their upfront 145.00 then customer support. Complete junk service as well as app support ### 2/5 — Don’t Bother *2023-08-17, version 1.13.3* My doc wanted me to get a sleep study and said this would be easy because it was just a “ring” that u wear. It’s easy to wear but their customer service is TERRIBLE and they don’t know what they are doing. My first night did not upload but showed on my histories on device, but they did not know how to retrieve it and told me to send it back. I did so , a few days later someone called and asked why I had sent it back without testing. (Really?!) the call center is a forever hold, and they disconnect you if they can’t answer your question. I paid out of pocket and still don’t have mine done. Get it elsewhere ### 1/5 — Can’t even log in *2023-08-15, version 1.13.3* I’m using this for a sleep study for ,y kiddo and the app won’t even let me log in. I do not trust the security of this 3rd party company. They hold onto the results of your study and keep it on their servers. What happens when they get hacked? I’ll tell you what happens… you get an “Oopsie! I’m sorry” email and your personal medical information will be on the dark web. Tech companies are ruining society. ### 1/5 — Very buggy setup *2026-01-01, version 2.0.3* Had to break out an old iPhone bc the app doesn’t work on either my newer one or my current Android daily driver. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2025-12-16, version 2.0.3* Says it recorded 4 hours of sleep data but the sleep clinic said they only received 2 hours and I’ll have to redo the study. Don’t waste your time with this broken app. ### 1/5 — You are ruining my sleep study *2025-08-26* I was due to start a sleep test with the sleep of a drink tonight, but I cannot login given the patient ID I was given by my provider. I do not know for sure, but I think it may have something to do with the fact that I already had the sleep image app on my phone. I have tried at least three ways to work around this; there is no way to delete the app, and every time I look in the App Store it defaults to open, not get, because I already have the app. If this is something that the developers should have for seen, then they blew it big time. I am still attempting to get in touch with my providers, Sleep Lab, so that I might still be able to do this test on schedule. If this is a glitch in the Sleep image app programming, then, I say again, your developers blew it big time! ### 1/5 — System Error *2025-08-22, version 1.13.10* I can’t even log in. Must have tried 20 times. “System error.” ### 1/5 — So many improvements are needed. *2025-06-14, version 1.13.10* The app is basic to a fault. It’s costing consumers and sleep clinics by not catching basic fail points. If the Bluetooth connection is lost with the sleep ring, it should send a notification. If the sleep ring suddenly stops recording, it should send a notification. If the app is closed, it should continue to collect and sync data when it is next opened. All of these are most critical for a children’s sleep study, but they are essential to add. We have significant talented developers available on the market right now. If this is a paid, revenue generating product that relies on a solid and functional app to avoid poor quality data and the need to redo sleep assessments, then this app really needs some major improvements. It’s just not up to par for 2025. ### 1/5 — App works, but they track your location. *2025-03-17* I don’t have any problems with the app, it was able to pair and it worked well. I have a problem with the Analytics. It is obvious they are using the IP address gained from the app and provide to marketing partners, such as ResMed. After installing this MEDICAL app, I immediately noticed RESMED ads on ROKU. There is ZERO way that ROKU could have associated Sleep Apnea with my account, then I remembered I installed this app that day. There is no way ROKU was able to associate Sleep Apnea with my IP Address unless it was provided by this application. This is un-ethical as this is a medical app that is required to be used, and there was NO option to opt in or opt out. This is a clear violation of the DO NOT TRACK in IOS. I will be reporting this violation but I wanted to warn others, if you don’t want ads, turn on VPN before access this application. ### 1/5 — History not viewable *2024-12-26, version 1.13.9* What’s the point of doing this sleep study if the patient can’t view their own history. Is my history even viewable without making another DR appt? Waste of time and money. Also my results will be inaccurate due to the disconnecting Bluetooth multiple times throughout the night. In the last few years this device hit the market and is a complete game changer! Just an app on your phone and a ring on your finger is it! What a GAME CHANGER! All I had to do was wear a comfortable ring on my finger, I had already downloaded a simple app to my phone. You click an icon on the phone before you go to sleep. Last sleep study I had was on overnight stay at a medical facility with all kinds of wires attached to my body…so uncomfortable. This was so easy. I’m a light sleeper and the Sleep Image study allowed me to fall asleep quickly.
