## What is Slice Camera?

Slice camera lets you create photos by combining one row of pixels at a time, building then up to create images with unique properties. Experiment with different techniques and scenarios to create different effects.

Images created with slice camera blend the moments together, as each slice is captured one after the other. With a little bit of practice and experimentation there are all kinds of interesting images that can be pulled out of a moment in time.

In many cases it helps to use a tripod or set your phone down somewhere stable to capture images, this way the scan line will be stable for the entire exposure of the image.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t really work that much

*2021-08-22*

It’s easy what I mean by the title but I really don’t think it’s the best app

### 1/5 — Doesn’t do anything

*2021-08-15*

Wouldn’t even show my head

### 1/5 — doesn’t work

*2021-07-27*

i tried using it at first and it wouldn't work with the camera so i closed and reopened it and then it just kept kicking me out over and over again. Don't download its not functioning and its a waste of time

### 2/5 — Not working

*2021-03-22*

This app doesn’t really work. It also is very confusing and hard to work, and you can’t even see where the picture is being taken

### 5/5 — Hello

*2020-11-12*

Hi

### 4/5 — A nice start, but buggy

*2020-08-13*

I’ve used high end Basler linescan cameras in process R&D, and was glad to find an app that would let me experiment for fun from my phone. There are some inconsistencies in the interface (updated scan progress is there sometimes, then not), sometimes scans don’t save (blank files), and sometimes it just crashes after a scan with the data lost. Overall I’m glad this exists! I hope there is enough interest to beef up the interface and memory issues.

### 5/5 — Super cool!

*2019-09-03*

Fun and easy to use app that lets you create unconventionally cool imagery straight from your iphone. Definitely a fun tool for fans of glitch art.
