## What is Slop Hound?

Is that video actually written by a human, or is it AI slop?

Slop Hound is a pocket slop-o-meter for the age of AI content. Let it listen to any video, podcast, or livestream and it turns the audio into text right on your device (not perfectly), and scores how "AI-written" the script sounds on a 0–10 slop scale. Or paste in any text and get an instant read. 

It’s a fast, fun gauge of the tells that AI-style writing leans on: tired clichés, hollow hype, filler phrases, and the peculiar structural rhythms language models love.

WHAT IT DOES
• Listens to audio around you - a video on your TV, a podcast, a lecture - and scores it live as it transcribes.
• Paste any text - an article, a script, an email - for an instant slop score.
• Highlights the exact phrases and patterns that got flagged, right in the transcript.
• Splits the score into "phrase tells" (clichés and buzzwords) and "structural tells" (tricolons, negation cadences like "it's not X, it's Y," strings of short punchy sentences, paragraphs where every sentence starts with “Because…”).
• Tap any flag to see exactly what tripped it.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Speech-to-text happens entirely on your device. Audio never leaves your phone.
• No account, no sign-up, no tracking.
